Colore Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
Colore Italian Restaurant offers traditional Italian American cuisine utilizing the freshest ingredients, skillfully prepared in our open kitchen. The food is straightforward, and prepared with traditional technique. From our Wood-Stone oven we offer New York style hand-stretched pizzas and calzones, as well as comforting pastas, traditional sandwiches, fresh salads and incredible desserts. A well balanced wine, beer and cocktail list featuring several local suppliers compliments the hearty fare. Housed in the first certified green building in Englewood, the interior of the restaurant is modern, bright and contemporary with large windows, butcher block tables, big cozy booths and soft red leather chairs. Ample adjacent parking and a street-side patio welcome guests to bask in the buzz of the new South Broadway. Minutes from The University of Denver and just south of the Old Pearl Street shopping district, Colore brings a modern feel and a comfortable menu to the South Denver.

"This restaurant consistently serves good food. I have eaten several different items on their menu, even the pizza, and all are well prepared and tasty. The staff is usually very efficient and the bread sticks that they serve as a table treat are excellent."

"The place was totally empty for the majority of the time we were there--rather unnerving and suspicious for a brunch city like Denver. I had the Frittata Caprese which was just average. The sauce was pretty bland and i didn't taste any basil at all, a hallmark of a caprese. My cousin had the same thing and felt the same way: not bad, not good. Just...average. maybe the pizzas are better but we won't go back for brunch again."

"We now make Colore our regular dining stop when attending concerts at Swallow Hill. This visit was for Denver Restaurant Week, which made it an extra treat. I always go looking forward to a calzone and beer, then get sidetracked by a special that I just can't pass up. Reasonably priced for a very good meal no matter what you order."

"From the outside, this place looks like a simple "pizza joint." However, it's actually a very nice contemporary restaurant with a lot more on the menu than pizza. I enjoyed my dinner here, and would like to try the brunch sometime."

"I'd definitely go back again to try more menu items when it isn't restaurant week. Their bread is what I can describe only as a mysterious blend of light, love, and air. I would go back just to eat that bread, so I can imagine what their pizza dough tastes like. The salmon with gnocchi was fantastic, and I don't like gnocchi (I stole some of my dining companion's). My pork chop, though, arrived tough, chewy, and completely overcooked even though I order it medium. They took it back and cooked me a new one, but the second round came with underdone potatoes. Excellent broth and beautiful flavors, if only all would have been cooked correctly on the same plate. Dessert was a mixed bag, heavy on the whipped cream."

"Caroline and Chris are two of the most generous hosts you can find. I found this restaurant a few years ago and have been coming back ever since! The food and service are beyond compare! You're always greeted with a smile at the door and your whole experience is an A+ from start to finish! I recommend this place to EVERYONE!"
