Its namesake – the famed Cordúa Churrasco steak - sparked Houston’s Latin American revelation nearly 25 years ago, and the flame is still burning strong at Churrascos.
The tantalizing menu mixes up native Latin ingredients with the unexpected for a culinary line-up that is as artful as it is delightful, including bacon-wrapped shrimp taquitos, ethereally light angel wings, bahia grilled chicken, yuca fries, and, of course, the award-winning Churrasco – voted one of the best 20 steaks in America by Esquire magazine.

"We were late for 20 minutes from the time reserved, the hostesses were not that forgiving. They let us wait saying that we will be seated if there will be a no show or else I will just look for another restaurant. ..that didn't discourage me at all because that morning, a lot of not so good things happened already ....my car was vandalized and somebody broke into it...as a single mom I just wanted to have a relaxed time with my kids on mother's day and let all worries behind and pursued to wait because we always enjoy your restaurant esp the food and the place...lucky enough after 30 minute wait we were escorted to our table."

"First of all. I booked 4 days in advance. When I get to the resturant, they seat my party right next to the loud bar. I asked to be seated at a table by the window or outside near the water. They told me all of those tables were full. Secondly, my wife nor my mother receieved the $25 gift certificate to use at another date. At no time during our experience were the tables near the window or out on the patio full or used. I am very disappointed. I felt the discriminated against.
Plus, I called 2 days prior to ensure my wife and mom would get the $25 gift certificates because we had reservations at 7pm. The young lady answering indicated that would not be a problem."

"The Sunday brunch is AMAZING. There are so many choices: crepe bar, omelette bar, all the chicken and meat dishes you could hope for, empanadas, shrimp, calamari, ceviche, different salads, rice, black beans, yucca, desserts...The list goes on and on. "Our waitress, Emily was outstanding. My husband is on a gluten-free diet and she made an extra effort to consult with the chef and make recommendations. My husband had the Chilean sea bass special and it was outstanding. He always has a bowl of the Cuban black bean soup. I had my favorite appetizer, the empanadas (one of each) which was fantastic as usual. I love to take half the order home. I ordered the Chimichurri beef which comes with fries. Emily sensed that I was not keen on the fries and suggested asparagus, which I love. We've always been pleased with our dining experiences at Churrasco's and the service was impeccable, thanks to Emily."

"It was very busy and therefore service really lacked. We made a reservation and were seated within 15 minutes of the reservation, BUT service went downhill quickly. We waited a LONG time for refills, food, and were never offered coffee even though we both ordered dessert. I also noted that it was my husband's birthday in the open table reservation and it was not acknowledged."

"My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, and selecting Churrascos - Sugar Land was an excellent decision on our part. From the complimentary fried plantains through the entrees (the Churrasco steak for my husband, the Andina tilapia for me) to the shared dessert of assorted sorbets, everything was delicious. The decor is unique and very attractive, and the waitstaff was friendly and prompt without hovering over us. We will certainly return!"

"Very nice local eatery. The food is a little pricey but the quality is well worth the cost. I am not a steak eater but ordered the beef tenderloin as everyone has raved about it. It was delicious! Very tender, prepared the way I ordered it and all of the food was hot and fresh. They also put the sauce on the side without a special request by me. "We went to Churrascos in Sugar Land for our anniversary. When we arrived, they had our table ready with a card wishing us a Happy Anniversary. We had a water front view. The food was wonderful... chicken empanadas are truly a meal in themselves, and so good! After our dinner, they presented us with a complimentary champagne toast and a generous serving of tiramusu. Will definately return. Such a good experience."

"I have eaten at the Churrascos in West Chase several times and the food has already been great and the sugar land location has the same quality and flavor - it was excellent. However, the Sugar Land location has a feel of a warehouse, not as nicely decorated, and does not have the same feel as the Westcase. I won't be back for that reason alone. the service was okay at best as they totally messed up our entry order - I won't go into details, but if you want toe Churrasos experience go to the Westchase location - if you don't want to drive there are better options in Sugar Land. I rated this location as Fair - the Westchase location would be excellent"
