"I arrived with my party but no one was there to greet us. We waited in the lobby area and looked around for employees but no one came out nor did we see anyone. After waiting for 5 - 7 minutes inside, we decided to leave. When you go in, there is an electronic door chime; so if there was anyone in the restaurant they could hear the chime. We can see why every time we drive by the restaurant is dead..."

"Greeted promptly, seated at a nice table. The specials of the evening were explained in detail, we ordered the salman special. The waiter asked our wine preference, we told him, he suggested a bottle which we purchased and it was very good. Service attentive but not overly.
A very good evening. Will return again, and again etc."

"The first visit to Aldo's was on a Tuesday. There were few other diners and service and food was good, with a good deal of personal attention from Aldo. The second visit, on a Friday, was OK. The food was good but not outstanding. For the taste and quality, it seemed overpriced. It will be a long while before we go back."

"Upon arriving for our reservation we were greeted and within 15 mins were taken to our table. The menu was for Valentines day. So the only option we had was what to order for our entrees. The appetizer was a sampler plate and was not very good. It included three different raviolis and a very small salad. Our dinners were very delicious, I had the flounder and my wife had the grilled chicken. We were very pleased, finally. Dessert was another sampler plate and again not very good. One of the desserts was very good but since it was a sampler there was not very much of it and the others were MEH. Service was very slow and we had to remind the waiters to fill our empty glasses."

"Chef Aldo's personal touch makes this a very special place. We did not even need to open the menu as Chef Aldo took care of us as if we were in his home. The meal was one of the best I have had in The Woodlands area since moving here two years ago and we have been to all of the top restaurants in the area."

"Even though my wife and I had our Valentine's Day dinner on Friday the 15th, choosing Aldo's was the right choice. Chef Aldo helped us with wine selection and suggested we pair this with a great squash ravioli appetizer. He then asked us what we were in the mood for, so my wife chose the salmon special, whereas I said meat and Chef Aldo suggested the Short Ribs braised in Barolo, which I was thinking about already. The choices were great! Even though we were stuffed, we shared a delicious Tiramisu."

"Overall I found this dining experience poor and very unusual. While the wait staff was attentive, I found the head waiter's style very overbearing. For example, we never got a menu. When I asked for one, the head chef came over and basically told us what we would have, without prices of course. In the end it was clear that everything that they essentially pushed on us was a high priced item. The food was ok, but nothing to rave about. I made a mistake by not insisting on looking at a menu and ultimately not just leaving. However, I will not make the mistake of going back as there are too many other good Italian restaurants in the Woodlands where you do not feel taken advantage of."

"Great food and menu. Specials were excellent, but chef tended to push too much on making decisions for you rather than letting you decide on your own, so we ended up with twice the food that we would have normally ordered. Tiramusu had practically no liquer, coffee flavor or lady fingers and had an odd lemony flavor.
Staff was attentive but very inexperienced - tended to interrupt conversation to ask if they could pour wine or bring anything else."

"My husband and I have enjoyed this restaurant since it opened. First and foremost, the staff is wonderfully personable and very professionally helpful. The ambiance in the carpeted dining room is wonderful. The light is low but high enough so we can still read the menu. There is a good wine list; we have never been disappointed in our choices. The food is exquisite and plentiful."

"We have been to Aldo's about a half dozen times. Food is always great. I love the Lamb Chops! The beet, goat cheese salad is also one of my favorites. Our service tonight was below my expectations and there was a noisy toddler (at 9:00 pm) at a nearby table. Of course the management has no control over guests who inappropriately bring young children. They have Luce music in the bar, which I love! And the guy was pretty good."
