The original Touchdown Club was formally organized in 1947, holding meetings at The Mission Inn located at the Route 981 and Route 30 crossroads. he premise of the Club's foundation was to "increase public interest in sports
and athletic games and to assist students, with proven scholarship ability at St. Vincent College and in need of financial aid, in continuing their education." In 1954, the Club was moved to Murphy Mansion on Center Drive and moved again in 1960 to its present location on Route 30 in Latrobe. In November 2005 the original Touchdown Club closed.
Then, just a few months later in May of 2006, the new Touchdown Club II was reopened by Michael Molina and Jonathan Miller. Both of them graduated from Greater Latrobe High School and currently reside in the area. These young gentlemen plan to continue many of the same traditions that started back in 1947. The tradition of a friendly gathering spot has been here for many years and will continue to be in the future
"Food was excellent even though our prime rib was sent back a few times to be re-cooked! The calamari and stuffed peppers were outstanding! Our waitress was outstanding, very pleasant, knowedgeable of the menu, polite and accomodating and made the experience memorable!"

"We were seated promptly by a very welcoming young man. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, salads and entrees as well as daily specials. We both ordered salmon - one in the Touchdown meal salad and the other was Pesto salmon that was served with a wonderful risotto. Our server was very attentive. We also enjoyed cups of soup and a side salad with the pesto salmon. We shared a delicious tiramisu for dessert.
It was a great dining experience and we highly recommend Touchdown Club II."

"I was slightly disappointed with the Filet Mignon, my wife thought it tasted live liver, first time she ever had it. Although tender and juicy, the flavor was lacking. Also disappointed that I had to buy the wine by the glass, instead of by the bottle, apparently it was only available out of the bar."

"We have dined here before and again the Touchdown club did not disappoint! Food is absolutely delicious. I usually get salmon and this time it was served with lobster risotto. Expensive but a good size portion so I had left overs. Seems like early bird specials could lower the costs from 4-6 pm, but we haven't been able to make it that early as of yet. Definitely becoming a regular favorite!"
