"It is wonderful having this neighbourhood gem within walking distance. Sometimes it is a special event, but often it is a spur of the moment decision to walk over for a delicious bite. The food is always fresh, well prepared and arrives hot at the table. Attentive, knowledgeable servers. Not to noisy."

"Service at the Gramercy Grill could have been a bit more friendly from the older member of the staff. The younger staff seemed to be run off their feet and doing a great job. The older server could use some help in the 'people skills' department. Be aware that like lots of other restaurants they change quite a bit extra (say $3) for extras (like a small side of sauteed kale) but don't tell you til the bill comes and you have already eaten it! That being said the food was quite tasty and would be worth returning for."

"Went (for the first time) to try the Sunday Roast Beef Dinner. While the portion was generous, the meat itself was tough - entirely disappointing for prime rib. My daughter's filet was excellent. Service was slow, since there were only two staff were on hand to service the entire restaurant."

"Went with friends who are regular diners to the Monday pasta night. $10-15 and wine/beer $5...so pretty reasonable. Very nice and attentive waitress and the dishes arrived promptly. It's obviously very popular with the locals and they have specials every night. Yes, I would recommend."

"We recently had a birthday dinner at Gramercy Grill with nine family members attending for my wife's 65th birthday. We enjoy the Gramercy Grill because the food is excellent and not overly expensive and the restaurant is intimate and quiet. The menu has an excellent variety of choices for every taste. Among us we sampled 8 different dinner dishes and everyone remarked how good their meal was. The winner seemed to be the sablefish. There always seems to be parking on the street in front so it is very convenient. It has no view at all which is probably why the prices are lower than you would expect for such good food."

"The Gramercy Grill is our neighbourhood favourite. There is always a warm welcome and the staff are friendly, accommodating, and efficient. The layout promotes a cosy atmosphere so that you benefit from the good vibes of being in a restaurant where others are enjoying themselves, but you can still have a conversation at your own table without having to shout. We often take our out-of-town guests there as a treat - for them - and for us!"

"Other than a table was not set and ready for us (even though we had a reservation for a group of 5), the service was great (good humour and useful information), the food brilliant and we were allowed to alter a few things as we had our children with us. Our favourite wine was out of stock but the recommended wine was so good we are a convert. Thanks so much!!"

"My family of 4 came for Sunday Brunch during DOV on Superbowl sunday and had a terrific 3 course meal for $16. Of the 6 restaurants I visited at DOV, would have to rate #1 overall when taking into account value for $. Thanks a great place to visit."

"Food was delicious - the quality of ingredients was great. They make fabulous entrees. For a Dine-Out experience however, I felt the portions could have been a bit larger. Service was not to my expectations for a restaurant of this quality. We felt pretty rushed by the servers, although I understand they were trying to turn around tables. Food was great, quality of service could've been better."

"was dineout, and a bit frenetic, but the bill arrived before dessert, portions were very small, ---I like heat in my food, but the pasta had way too much chile and pasta was undercooked has been good in the past, so will limit dine out next year"

"Nice time at Gramercy. We were greeted and seated and orders taken in a timely manner. Food was served and dishes taken away by a variety of different people. What I noticed was that none of these people seemed to smile! Some didn't even look at us or address us in any way. I felt a little bit like a bump on a log, but that's fine. I find it disappointing though because I think the Gramercy tries really hard to be a great neighbourhood spot but the prices are too high for that. They don't quite make it as high end either - for example, they should use fresh, whole baby carrots instead of the pre-shaped ones out of a package."

"We could tell that we were being rushed due to the Dine out Vancouver event, our bill was brought to the table before we had been asked if we wanted anything else or if we even wanted the bill. Everything else about our experience was average nothing stood over and above would recommend if asked specifically but not on my own account."

"May be we took the dine out lunch menu, the portion was very small, barely enough for lunch. Did not do justification for the restaurant. I had better experience with them in the past."

"I found this restaurant to have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, which matched the well thought out, tasty menu. I attended this restaurant during Dine Out Vancouver and chose it specifically for the menu having twice as many options as other restaurants menus as well as for the many mouthwatering gluten free options. When I inquired about the gluten free options the server delightedly told me that all items on the menu could be prepared gluten free.
In the end, service was so pleasant, attentive without being annoying and very willing to help. The food was amazing and such great value for money. I will certainly be back here again."

"The portions were so small that my 10 yr old son could have ordered the 3-course meal and was still hungry after the main course and desert. The appetizer was half the size, main course was average, and the desert was merely bite-sized. The warm chocolate torte was tiny enough that I finished it in two bites, and it was only because I didn't want to eat it all at once. I was so disappointed that I would not be going back again. I have been wanting to eat at this restaurant for a long time and did not like the service either."

"Our prior plans ended earlier than expected and we arrived at the restaurant 1 hour before our reservation. We had a drink at the bar and staff were able to seat us 30 minutes early. It was much appreciated as their night was very busy."

"It was just okay. Food was average. Dine Out portions of soup and salad was ridiculously small.Salad was just lettuce. Lemon tart was good. I think they should have made more effort for Dine Out Vancouver and people would then return. I don't think I will return."

"The first thing I should is that if I go there again, I'll have something else to drink besides Peller Merlot. It's price was OK, but a bit the wine was a bit heavy alcohol-content wise for me. I guess because I am not a big drinker. Although we didn't realize at first that our waiter was going to give us the full portion of mussels, it was very tasty. Our veal entree was a bit thin and needed more veggies. The sauce was unmemorable! But I lucked out on ordering the Creme Brulee.P.S. when I read the online menu, it said they had Arctic Char, but when we looked at the menu when arrived we saw that there was a change in the fish entree. A bit disappointing!"
