"Food was good but not great considering the prices being paid. We had 545 reservation and it seemed we were being rushed a bit--not at all normal European relaxing dining--could be they were catering to American customers. Food was not as good as either Purple Sage or Chez Betty. $15 corkage fee was nice. Cheese fondue, wienersnitzel and pork shank were standouts."

"What an experience! The lobster hash was a masterpiece. The components all worked well. The amuse bouche was pretty tasty even though I am not a fan of sardines, no fishy taste at all. The roasted beet salad was a bit if a disappointment as I would have liked more beets. The arugula worked well. The Bouillabasse was good as was the trout. Cooked perfectly and served at the proper temperature. The beignets for dessert were excellent. The licorice gelee was a real treat. Was very impressed with the service and the Bavarian atmosphere was cute."

"After reading other reviews and seeing the awards this restaurant has won, we were overall disappointed with the food here. The fondue was fun to share but it was fondue and anyone can make that. My daughter had the lamb which was good but they only served 3 tiny little chops. My other daughter had the new york strip- good. Our son had the best dish- the duck breast. He rated it as one of his top 5 meals of all time. My husband and I had the elk. It was flavorless and tough. Served on purees that looked like babyfood. The apple strudel was raw on the insitde and tasted mediocre. The restaurant also has a pungent smell from the cheese that does not dissipate. The wait staff was superb. Good atmosphere- very cozy."

"We really liked this Deer Valley restaurant in many ways. Food (with an Austrian slant) was outstanding. I had the kobe NY steak and it was scrumptious. The little things were apparent and nicely done. The service was outstanding. Great ambiance. A total winner."

"We go there a couple times a year, and some years the food is uniformly terrific and some years fair to worse. I am told it varies with the turnover in chefs. This trip the entrees were a disappointment across the board. I think we will wait and go once we hear they have a new chef."

"Coming here you feel like you're stepping back into old world Europe. The decor is of a friendly Austrian chalet where you're treated like family.
We hadn't planned on eating somewhere nice so we just had casual clothes for dinner but they didn't look down their noses at us.
We stated with the escargot which wasn't so salty like so many places. We next had a fantastic salad of endive and pear and had the elk ribeye with huckleberry sauce which was absolutely spectacular.
I've eaten here and each time is an absolute delight and whenever we're in Park City we'll eat here again."
