Located in the quaint town of South Laguna Beach, Ti Amo is one of the cities hidden gems. Built as a home in 1928, the building is now modeled after a villa in Tuscany. The homey atmosphere is created with renaissance candelabras, heavy fabrics, a fireplace, frescoes, murals and an ocean view. Romance is in the air! Voted “the most romantic 14 years in a row.” The main lobby is adorned with menus signed by favorite guests such as Billy Joel, President Bush, Heather Locklear, Magic Johnson, John C. Riley and many others.
The authentic Italian cuisine is always the freshest and homemade! Nightly Specials compliment our already distinctive faire. Entrees include such wonderful special items as homemade pastas, Seafood Linguine, Osso Bucco and Chilean Sea Bass. Save room for homemade desserts too! We have parking adjacent to the building and have room for large parties and banquets.

"Saw reviews on the internet and decided to spend my Valentine's Date there. Very cute atmosphere and Very good food. The service was some of the worst service I have ever had at any establishment. The hostess welcoming us was dressed very unprofessional and acted as such also. Advised us to sit in the wine bar to wait and order a drink. We waited at the wine bar and was not helped by anyone for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes and no drink, we were helped to our table. It took over 45 minutes and me tracking down the waiter to get our drink order and another 25 to order our food. I'm very willing to pay high dollar for high service but this was not the case. High dollar food and ambiance but taco bell priced service."

"We went to Ti Amo on Valentine's Day after seeing it listed as Top 10 Most Romantic Restaurants by OpenT & IT WAS NEITHER ROMANTIC OR GOOD! They called wks in advance to ask for a deposit to hold the reservation(unusual) but we paid based on a promising menu. The Crab Cakes (pre-made with onion & bell peppers which I was assured by the chef could be made without),Lobster Bisque (both had no visable crab or lobster,served lukewarm & the cream had burnt), my Filet Mignon w/Blue Cheese (not what other rest consider prime but served on portobello mushroom which was good), Sea Bass(husband found unedible),2Large Grand Marnier Strawberries Dipped w/ choc(no liquer but choc was ok)We had 2 families with young children for a 9:30pm reservation."

"The wait staff and hostess were great; however depending on who at our table you talked to; the food was inconsistent at best (The meals served at our table ranged from amazing manicotti to overcooked seafood). The sunset view from the balcony though is great (and a completely different atmosphere from the rest of the site - given there are only a couple tables out there)"

"The Resturant appears to be going out of business. I never complain and I did not complain that night but our waiter was very unatentive. We sat thirty minutes before even being able to order a cocktail. Sad part they weren't even that busy. Place looks incredible, but waitr said closing down while new owner remodel. Hope service improves."

"I had high hopes ! I really gave them a chance. Went on a friday night after valentines day, it was not that busy. Our server was on her "first night", which was obviously not accurate, but she was inexperienced for sure. The staff gave her about 7 tables to deal with, and she was completely overwhelmed. The manager sat down and spoke to the table next to us for 20 minutes while our waiter ran around like crazy. We eneded up waiting for 30 minutes to put in our order after I had to call over our waitress to force her to take our order.
I was understanding of the situation, but the manager did nothing to help the new waitress. What really did in Ti Amo was the poor food. It was TERRIBLE !!!!"

"So picture it - the day after Valentine's Day and the waiter says to me, "we didn't expect to be busy." We were seated promptly and then waited for an hour to have our food order taken. We watched two groups get up and leave because of the lack of attention. One gentleman in particular kept asking to see the manager, but the manager never appeared. For this type of establishment, that's totally inappropriate for a guest to be ignored after repeated requests. After waiting all that time - I think the food was marginal at best. Needless to say, we won't return."

"We went here for the day after Valetine's, but not for Valentine's. I had reservations for 8pm and was seated 20 mins later. We were patient. Although, some patrons were not which made it kind of stressful. We had been waiting much longer than they had AND I'm pregnant so eating is my thing. I think we caught the tail end of the rush- there was palpable tension in the air. When we got to our table the table next to us had left mid-salad...the table adjacent to us complained about the service being slow. It did take our server quite some time to serve us, but after he took our orders the dinner flowed a little better. The food was a little disappointing for the $$-- our server/staff was very friendly and the place has a cozy ambiance"

"Seated at a tiny round table in the middle of the dinning room. Overhead lighting cast shadows on our table and light glared into my spouse's eyes all evening. Less romantic than our garage lighting at home. It took over 10 minutes for our waiter to arrive, wanting to take our order immediately w/o asking if we would care for something from the bar. He seemed put out.
Portions were quite small and mediocre in flavor,and my bank card was charged $177 instead of $171, which was $6 more that I wrote on the charge slip. No response to my phone call re: overcharge. Not a good dining experience, will not return."

"We very much enjoyed the romantic atmosphere at Ti Amo. The food was also very good. The service, however, was very slow. We waited approx. 20 minutes to receive a menu. We then waited another approx. 15 to have someone take our order. The staff was very friendly, but I’m not sure if we would go again. We thought about leaving but our reservations were at 8pm so we were very limited on another restaurant."

"Went as a group of 10 for my birthday. The restaurant was monstly vacant on this Sunday evening so was very quiet and ambiance was nice.
Waiter suggested appetizers for all and with dinner and one bottle of wine and mandatory tip came out to $650. Little more than I expected for this kind of restaurant."

"Not sure that it is necessary to make a reservation here, we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. The wait service was great, but i give 3 stars to include the service of the hostess. Our main dishes were over cooked and not worth the price. I will not be returning, definitely not worth the hassle."
