"In spite of the excellent reviews that motivated me to try this place, the evening was way better than expected!! Our server, Maria, was so sweet , attentive but not overly so, and offered excellent suggestions- the complimentary bread was a problem- wanted to eat it all and ask for more which of course would have made me too full for the meal...and our choice of the calamari appetizer and paella went PERFECTLY with our sangria choice- the hit of the evening! Order the white sangria and you will go back again just to have it...found other restaurants during our South Beach stay but had to go back here one more time before we left- which we did..."

"Had a fabulous meal. Would have gone back the next night but was on a mission to find a different experience each night. This was definitely on the top of my list to return. The waiter surprised me with White Bean Hummus that rocked. Seafood Paella was just what I was looking for that night."

"Terrific new restaurant- reasonably priced in a tourist area that can be wildly overpriced- menu with good choices- small but adequate wine list - definitely worth a try, and we will return"

"Great food and nice place to sit outside and people watch before going out for the night. This corner is off the main path but is comfortable and well lit at night."

"During our visit to South Beach, we discovered Espanola Way. This is a narrow street of one block with 6-8 restaurants such as Italian, Mexican, Cuban, etc. If you want to feel like you are in Miami Beach this is a great urban atmosphere of diverse foods. A must go for South Beach--away from the Ocean Dr. crowds., but near."

"The overall restaurant experience was okay, the food was very good. We had to make a reservation and when we arrived the place was completely empty. They have a drink specail if you eat before 7:30pm which is bogo free and we arrived at 6:30pm. The specail was also supposed to be both the drink special and 20% off your entire bill but apparently its either one or the other. They did remember my boyfriends b-day and brought him over a slice of keylime pie, which was good. I ordered the seafood paella which was very good and had a nice flavor, my boyfriend ordered the chicken which both dinners had a good portion and tasted great. This place could have been better but there wasnt alot of other people there."

"Flame is a gem indeed on Espanola Way in South Beach. Great food and service. We were even invited by the owner to tour the kitchen which was very very clean and modern. No complaints in any way and a friendly staff too. The menu is creative and should satisfy all pallets !!"

"Wonderful restaurant hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of South Beach. Very good quality food; marinated skirt steak was done to perfection, juicy, tender and very flavorful. Chilean sea bass was also very good; cooked perfectly and a very good quality piece of fillet."

"The outdoor seating has a nice atmosphere, since the restaurant is on Espanola Way. Our waitress was pleasant, although service was a bit slow. The food was decent, but not spectacular. Overall, I found the restaurant to be OK, but there is better food to be had in South Beach."

"Pricey, but excellent gourmet grilled foods and good drinks. Loud music blasting repetitive house music in the background can be a little distracting."

"Was a nice spot on the happening South Beach pedestrian mall on Espaniola. Accommodating hostess. Knowledgable waiter. Slightly pricey for what it is but would go back."

"The service was exceptional at this restaurant. When we first got there, our table wasn't ready and the bartender and manager gave us 2 complimentary glasses of champagne. My boyfriend and I both ordered the filet where mine did not taste like it was filet. I told the waiter not expecting them to take it off the bill. The manager apologized and comped my meal and my boyfriend's espresso. The prosciutto appetizer was great and the hummus spread for the bread was amazing."

"Great spot on a hot (haute?) corner on Espanola Way. Awesome people watching. Seemed like it would accommodate groups well inside. Best service we received while in South Beach. Owners came by every table to say hi and see how we were doing. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. Phenomenal food."

"We arrived at 6:20 for our 7:00PM reservation. I asked if the restaurant had happy hour as most establishments in the area have happy hour between 5PM and 7PM. The plan was to enjoy a few drinks until our reservation time. The waitress brought our first drink and later informed me that the restaurant policy was not to honor Happy Hour prices for diners receiving 1000 points from Open Table. At that point we decided to simply order our meal. The restaurant was virtually empty but for one other table. The food was ok. I had the Filet Mignon with Garlic Mashed and Asparagus. The food was cooked as ordered. There were no glaring deficiencies in the food, however there was nothing remarkable about it either. The service was just adequate"

"Went here on valentine's day while we were vacationing in Miami Beach. The server, Bojana, was exceptional. It started raining while there and the owner arranged a cab for us(which was not easy) and gave us champagne while we were waiting. The Mojito might've been the best I've ever had."
