Anaheim White House occupies a lovely turn of the century(c. 1909) home. The menu features fresh seafood and specialties influenced by proprietor Bruno Serato's frequent trips to his hometown of Verona, Italy. Zagat says "Absolutely outstanding".."excellent" Northern Italian fare".."superb service.. always an experience." The restaurant is included in Epicurean Rendezvous' "100 Best Restaurants in Southern California" and received three stars from the Mobile Guide. "Bruno, the owner came to our table and made us feel like family. The waiters were helpful and handsome. The food was more than we hoped for. Bread fresh and hot, butter cold, salad in a rice paper bowl, fish with crab-very fresh, pasta the best I have had since Rome. Really a great experience."

"The food taste and presentation are really outstanding. The menu selection is also more that adequate for just about any food selection. We went for the OC Restaurant Week promotion, but decided to go with the regular menu instead for 2 dinners. Given the promotion, you would think they would be trying to impress new guests, but the service was the worst we have ever experienced in a place of this class. There are too many good restaurants in this category that know how to treat their guests. We won't be back and I would suggest that others look elsewhere for their evening out."

"Wonderful time at the Sunday Brunch. Excellent service and attention throughout the meal and from the moment we walked in. Decor and ambiance were outstanding. Food presentation was creative and decent sized portions. Great variety on the menu. Very romantic."

"We attended this restaurant for Valentine's Day and was pleased. However, the place felt a little artificial and the building seems to need a little maintenance. To be fair we were in the second level and the bottom level seemed to have been renovated a bit. Will have to revisit for a better evaluation. The food was fair but not extraordinary. My wife ordered the beef stew which was very dry and I ordered the Sand Dabs which were fair. The salad was very plain (only lettuce and dressing) and the "Mango Vinegarette," which sounded great was unbearably tart. The Dessert (zabligone) was the best!"

"We heard lots of good things and thought it was worth a try. We had a super quiet table in a room by ourselves. Service was good in the beginning, but waiter forgot about us toward the end. Since we were alone in this room, had to search him out to order dessert and coffee. Very limited and very pricey for vegetarian choices. The most expensive price we've ever seen for a double espresso."

"This restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem within Orange County. We were attending a show at the Grove and it was conveniently close. Great ambiance, great food, and fantastic service helped to make this dining event enjoyable. The presentation of the food was among the best I have seen, and it tasted just as good. "My husband and I came here for the first time, on the day before Valentine's Day. We expected it to be busy and it was. However, that didn't compromise our dining experience. The ambiance was lovely, the staff was friendly and they didn't rush us even though it was a busy evening. The food was superb. The room they sat us in was feet from the entrance, so it was quite busy with staff constantly walking by, but overall was very nice."

"Couldn't find my reservation on their computer.
Food expensive, 2 persons' dinner came out to $140. The appertizer and dessert were great. The entre boneless rib and veal not that good. The sauce itself tasted good, the meat not much of a taste and overcooked. Valet is $4 plus tip.

Bonus fireworks display in the sky from nearby Disneyland can be seen at 9:25 p.m.

The inside lighting and the walls made a yellow ambiance. Not much of a contrast like driving in twilight just after the sun disappears. Would be nice if the light is much dimmer and spotlight the tables or use candles."

"Food was pretty good. They no longer have Cavier even though it's still on their menu. What killed the experience for me was when I got the bill I just gave them my credit card.
When it came back my wife noticed several charges that were not ours, when questioned they apologized & took it back to be corrected.
2 days later I checked my Credit card online & both charges were posted. I called to complain & talked to Joaquin. He said he would take care of it. They next day it's still there.
When I called he left me on hold for almost 10 minutes & came back sounding annoyed. He says their accountant would call me to explain.
I just decided to dispute the charge to card company instead of trying to deal with them any further."

"The exterior is VERY gaudy and "Disney-like"...(I would never go to this restaurant if all I knew about it was the exteior appearance)... but... The interior offers excellent ambiance, and is another story entirely... It's divided into cozy small rooms done in traditional, mostly white, decor (comfortable, upholstered chairs, lovely table setting, crystal chandeliers, etc., etc...) We had a very private room for our party of nine... Sevice was friendly and attentive... Everyone enjoyed the expertly prepared dishes... and It was pareticularly nice to have escargot served the proper way with snail clips, etc...(a rare occurance nowadays)... I will definitely go back!!!"

"The service was attentive and very good. Presentation of food is good, and some of what we had was truly wonderful (stuffed calimari, carpacchio); others were just average (coq au vin).The ambiance is a little vulgar, in my opinion --sort of high Italian, with lots of gilt, white, flounces and cherubs abounding, and plastic flowers on the table. Unfortunately, we sat in a corner next to a loud threesome who managed to outlast us."

"Chad and Ivana were great! I took my family here for my mom's birthday and as always the food and the service was wonderful! It was my parent's first time dining at the Anaheim White House and they loved it! I will definitely be bringing them back! "New Year's Eve dining was a delight.

"The atmosphere was entertaining, delightful, and quiet. The service was exceptional, so attentive that we were never even required to pour our own wine, and every time a bread crumb hit the table it was promptly picked up. The house salad dressing was the best I've ever had, and we were informed it could only be enjoyed here. My wife and I were both so pleased with our entrees that we shared them throughout this wonderful experience to the end. Of note, the bottle of wine reccomended by the sommelier was outstanding! (I wrote it down for future reference). The entire experience, including the reasonable cost for one of the most enjoyable evenings of recent memory, was definitely in my top 5 ever!"

"The overall dining experience was excellent. The service was absolutely perfect from curb to departure. The restaurant was cozy and elegant. "Your senses are bombarded with the spectacular decorations when you enter The White House.Larger tables had gorgeous flower arrangements and each table was set with tuxedo folded serviettes complete with a tiny black bow. The outside too has been beautifully decorated ---even a Christmas tree surrounded with REAL snowy/ice!! Our Christmas luncheon group decided on the Express Lunch menu, 3 courses, $21.95. We selected the Caesar Salad -- delicious and presentation fabulous!!;Tilapia Versace again delicious and the presentation even more fabulous ( you must try it -- I don't want to spoil the surprise ) and to finish, the profiteroles that were the best I have ever tasted!! Service was outstanding.A prefect Christmas party !!"

"This is such a gem of a restaurant. It's in an awkward location (the beauty does not match the surrounding area) but once you are inside you feel transformed. The decor is beautiful. When we went, there was a mini snow bank flanking a beautifully lit tree out front with "snow" blowing from the roof (a small bubble blower was blowing mini bubbles). The food is ecletic, but very tasty. They accomodate young children and have a children's menu as well. The service is great."

"Gaudy decor on the outside, nice on the inside. Menu font was hard to read for some at the table and even the waitress couldn't read it. Caesar salad was excellent, traditional Thanksgiving dinner was average and overpriced, coffee was excellent. The rest of the items on the menu looked delicious. If I had it to do over again, I would try another entree on the menu. Service was great. I wasn't overly impressed so I probably would only return if I planned on having a group event of some kind as they have a nice facility for it."

"Service could have been better. We spent too much time waiting for our meal. It took us over 2 hours to be finished just because we had so long to eat. "This was our first time at the White House we heard a lot of great things about this place we found the service was superb the food and presentation very good, It was truly a great dining experience we frequent many quality restuarants bravo to the White House we shall return."

"The White House was fantastic. It is an elegant yet warm and welcoming. I highly suggest going during the holidays, as they do a great job of decorating. The food was to die for. The salmon and sand dabs are not to be missed. The escargot and gnocchi was perfect, and the caesar salads were unique and tasteful. We ordered a couple of deserts, which were also wonderful. I highly recommend heading to the White House for your special occasion."

"I was really looking forward to dining at the Anaheim White House - for years, I'd heard decent reviews from local business folks that knew the owner.

Unfortunately, I was less than impressed overall.

GREAT interior/decor - but that wasn't why we went. The food - mediocre, you could tell much of it was pre-packaged, and bland with respect to flavor. Pricing - way over-priced."
