"I felt like this warranted a thorough explanation. So, the first thing to note is this place is L O U D. Like, not worth even trying to have a conversation. The food was great; the blue cheese fondue was fantastic and our steaks were exceptional. So were the lamb chops. My wife and I shared a salad and bone-in steak and it was not plated for two. First, a small plate was delivered, than a larger one after we asked. We had to ask for a second steak knife, too. For this kind of money, the service needs to be first rate. I would go to Elway's or Capital Grill over LoHi any day of the week."

"LoHi has good food and a fun atmosphere in the awesome revival neighborhood of the Highlands. The idea of a "steakbar" is a good one for the area because it seems like everyone is looking for something unique in that area, however the name does not match the menu. There is a small selection of steaks that are served with frites (fries) which is not something I enjoy and then the other portion of the menu is sprinkled with steak options but nothing in the way of an actual prime rib with your choice of 2 sides type of option. I did appreciate the variety of price points on the menu and the options on the menu itself but like I said, the name just didn't match."

"It was unfortunate that our server had better things to do than wait on us. He never checked on us(until we were done with the meal), otherwise he'd find out that the food was overcooked and he forgot parts to our meal. I think with better service our experience would've been better!"

"We go to LoHi Steakbar all the time. It's our neighborhood go-to place. The food is consistently excellent and overall the staff is very, very nice and helpful. The noise level can be off the charts if you go when there is a big game on. So if noise bothers you as much as it does us, don't go when there's a big game on."

"This was my first time at LoHi Steakbar for brunch. The lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious! I was a little disappointed in the beignets. They were too dense and coated in powdered sugar rather than just a sprinkle. I would still recommend this restaurant. The food was great overall and the service was excellent."

"LoHi neighborhood eateries are bursting onto the this vibrant scene. LoHi Steak is a corner restaurant with an overflowing bar and lively patio. Our group of four enjoyed the meal but just couldn't overcome the outrageously noisy environment. If you love a good chat almost as much as good food . . . this is not the spot for you on a Saturday night."

"The food was well prepared and very tasty. I felt the selection was limited but would go back again. Very limited on the Happy Hour selections and you miaght as well just plan on ordering dinner after appetizers"

"My wife and I dined at LoHi for Easter brunch and we were extremely impressed!! The food looked good, tasted good and there were a lot of interesting options; many of them were not what we expected from a restaurant with the word "SteakBar" in the name. We had the hash browns, breakfast sandwich and the lemon ricotta pancake. All offerings were great and we will definitely be back to try more. Did I forget to mention the Bloody Mary's were the size of my head!"

"LoHi Steakbar does steaks really well. If you want a good steak this is a place to go. Service was friendly, but we waited a bit for our first greeting from our server. Empty plates stayed on the table for a while, serving utensils seemed to be missing (spoon to scoop sauce from stuffed mushrooms, my sister was missing a spoon for the broth from her mussels."

"I love this place! I've eaten here often and always recommend it. My last visit was a let down due to really poor service, however the manager rectified the situation once she was made aware of the problem. Overall, great place for Sunday brunch!"

"So I had brunch here once before and was really disappointed in the food. But because I love the big mimosas, I decided to try the food again and have to say, glad I did! Was delicious and our server was really awesome!"

"We went to LoHi for Restaurant Week and they had a great selection to choose from. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was fun. The only criticism I have is that our server was fairly inattentive. We had to ask for silverware, water refills, etc."

"I went here for 5280 week with my boyfriend and another couple. The service was great! The waitress checked on us regularly and kept our drinks full. The food came out as ordered and relatively quickly. The food was delicious! My steak was cooked exactly as I had asked (medium-rare), and no one at the table had a complaint. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and BBQ oysters for appetizers, and they were very good! The dessert round was on the smaller side, but I was actually glad about this because I was already pretty full from the other two courses. The drinks were also great; my boyfriend and I had wine while our friends had Moscow Mules. Overall, I would definitely recommend this as a place to go for couples, a group, or for a few drinks!"

"First restaurant of Denver's Restaurant Week. I think it was a great choice. My husband and I both chose the Flatiron steak Frites. Wonderful! My starter was the smoked trout. Fabulous, but it was probably enough to feed 2 as an appetizer. Really good. The Double Chocolate Pudding we shared for dessert was extremely dense and absolutely the thing to order. The restaurant is small, but a very good use of space. I think er'll come back with friends."

"We had a great time. We had the sausage-stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, which were incredibly flavorful. I had the broiled pork chop, and my wife had the nightly special, which was a lamb chop - both were delicious. The restaurant filled quickly after we got there, but it never felt over-crowded or noisy, and there is a distinct separation between the dining room and the bar area. It was, overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back for more."

"Good food overall but my husbands steak was overdone. Great salad entree and veggie friendly. Good drink menu. We went with a group of 6 and it was hard to talk because of the noise level. So not great for groups but very cool ambiance."

"I didn't realize LoHi was open for lunch nor would I have guessed that their lunch menu was really a Brunch/Lunch menu. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast food, but it's nice to know one has the option should it suit their mood."
