"We had a reservation for 2 people last night prior to an early concert at OTSFM. Of course we were late, and then at the last minute we were joined by 2 friends we ran into on the street. That wasn't all. The friends who joined us had about 20 minutes to eat, AND they were vegan. The manager and the server (who had more than her share of tables) went out of their way to find out what our friends could eat, and they got it too them quickly so they could leave on time. Of course my friend and I stayed longer and enjoyed everything we ate; it was an excellent time, in spite of being quick. Thanks to the Fork folks for making it all happen."

"Recommended to my wife and I by a friend. Very glad we came. Had 9pm Friday reservations, but arrived at 7:30 (unexpected light traffic) and they were able to get us seated by 8. Had wine flight, beer flight, cheese flight, charcuterie flight, poutine and a flatbread. Loved it all, especially the poutine - duck breast melted like butter over crispy fries - Awesome!"

"The menu has a diverse selection that feels cohesive but eclectic, and all of it is a delight. There's something for everyone, from brunch through dinner. Great wine selection and charcuterie, and things like duck confit hash and an open-faced brisket sandwich on texas toast. The staff is really nice and helpful...this is a full on recommend to everyone who enjoys a meal out."

"The large amount if beers, wines, cheeses, and succinct but dynamic menu, begs for repeat visits. Half pours and a helpful staff make exploring your palette a pleasure. Small plates make walking away without ordering an actual large entree, a welcome change. For desert I had their special cold chocolate mousse with a flight of port. Enough for two. Delicious! Large open windows invite in the neighborhood. This is a must try to see how dining experiences can be different but welcome."

"I love the food at FORK. I've been there several times. This past time I wasn't very pleased with the service from either the bartender or the waitress.We had a drink at the bar and had to wait quite a while for the bill and the host wanted to get us seated so he said he'd bring the check to our table. Within a few minutes we were reminded several times from the waitress that our bar bill was on the table.We didn't need to be reminded so many times. We were then served cold fries and the waitress seemed annoyed when we asked for hot fries and to be honest the fries were cold and probably cheap and should have been removed from the bill."

"We go to Fork often. They decided to have a buffet for Mother's Day, however they only called to notify me a few days before to let me know, so getting a reservation elsewhere was not a possibility at that point. Their space is not conducive for a buffet. One line for people to go through in a tight space does not work well especially when the line goes right past the kitchen. The food was good, but was laid out funny on the bar. Signs were there to define what was out there, however some items were missing signs or were not in the place where the signs were. My advice to them would be to stick to regular brunch unless they move to a larger space and decide if you are going to do a buffet to let customers know well in advance."

"Fork proved to be just the ticket for my Mother's Day dinner with sons and husband. We shared nearly everything--especially loved the bacon wrapped dates and charcuterie and cheese platters. I also had the pinot noir wine flight which was fantastic. My husband got the beef sliders--he got two which were almost too much. I got the pulled pork with grits. I thought the grits tasted like creamy mashed potatoes--really delicious and filling. My sons each got the special halibut cheeks which they loved so much they didn't even share! The waiter was very attentive too. We finished with the beer spice cake and banana ice cream which we all shared. It was similar to carrot cake, but a little lighter and we all had several forkfuls. I'll go again!"

"menu looked awesome online. once sat, menu was not the same. manager explained that it was seasonal which i understand, but its also good business to keep website current.
also, purchased a $100+ bottle of wine that warranted decanting. no decanting. and the wine was presented and poured by the manager (who i believe was also the owner).
not in a big hurry to go back. quite mediocre."

"Lived in Lincoln Square for a few months now and this was our first visit. My wife, two young boys and I had brunch here last Sunday. Very kid freindly. The meal was excellent. I would recommend this spot to others and we are planning on another visit for sure. We were lucky toget a spot by the open window, perfect for the summer weather. Great atmosphere!"

"Came for a couples' night out (2 couples). Sampled the Brussels sprouts and something else as an appetizer (don't remember, sprouts were very well executed). Split a burger (which they did for us in the kitchen, very accommodating) and a flat-bread pizza (delicious, well executed crust) with my buddy, our girls split another flat-bread pizza. The burgers were a fantastic blend of some cut of steak and normal ground chuck. The cheddar was sharp and rich, a great addition. Would definitely return to try out some other things on their menu. Good wine and beer selection, the bar is long and seems accommodating to neighborhood regulars."

"My partner and I decided to try brunch at Fork since we've heard so many amazing reviews about it. We were prompted with a friendly host that told us that the table will be ready promptly. 5 minutes later we were seated at a cozy table in the back room. The menu looked amazing, but it seemed like everything else went downhill from then. We were promoted with a extremely unfriendly server that I think said about 10 words throughout the entire meal. I am not one to complain, but this male server was just horrendous. Not one smile and didn't even offer recommendations. Another thing that was unfortunate was that my partner ordered the waffles with cinnamon apples and all he received were just plain waffles. $9 for just plain waffles?"

"We picked this spot because it is close to the Old Town School, but we were delighted with the service, food, plus the wine and beer list.The Scottish salmon was very good served with crispy kale and a very nice cranberry vinaigrette. Hubby enjoyed a gorgeouly tender beef dish accompanied by an exceptional beer pairing that was suggested by our server. We will return!"

"I dined at Fork for the first time with a friend of mine and it was fantastic! The atmosphere is intimate, the service incredicable, and the drink list quite extensive. The wait staff was very attentive, but never overbearing (which is always good). We ordered the bacon dates stuffed with chorizo and the only bad thing I can say about this is that I wished we had ordered one apiece instead of sharing! The duck club with garlic cilantro fries is a massive serving of deliciousness and highly recommended. This is defiintely a restuarant that I will return to."

"We were late for our reservation and notified the restaurant -- they were extremely gracious and understanding when we arrived. We had a lovely meal -- tried some new dishes off the specials menu (my partner had a pasta dish and I had a perch dish) -- both were quite tasty. "I met a group of girlfriends here for dinner on a Monday night and the service was great and very attentive. I am a big fan of duck so I ordered the duck poutin (and the farmhouse burger with garlic fries for my husband to-go). The poutin was a miss... WAY too salty for anyone's taste buds at my table. I thought it was just the gravy that was poured on top but I tried the duck that hadn't touched the gravy and that was also too salty. Hardly palatable. I was very disappointed in my meal. However, when I came home my husband ate his burger and fries and gave me a bite. DELISH! I wish I would have ordered that in the first place."

As my companion said, the whole menu is so "chef-y". Weird mix of hipsters, couples and families on a Friday night. Small by-the-glass wine list, but a nice bottle list."

"Visit Chicago twice a year and try to find a new dinning experience this time we found FORK it was a great experience. Our server (sorry forgot name) was very helpful when looking for a bottle of wine both my wife a I could share , we both like different flavor profile it was a great pairing and we both enjoyed. We like to try different things on the menu and Fork has a very diverse cheese and charcuterie section, small plates and plenty of other items to choose from even our teenaged daughters enjoyed the experience we will most defienetly add this to our list of favorites and will be back this fall!!!"

"Food, service and setting were all good. Seemed a bit pricey considering we had one flight of wine and one 1/2 glass. Parking is miserable and expensive - but that's a Chicago issue, still since we had to drive there that issue will be a factor for any future visits."

"We've been to Fork before as a pre-concert dinner. Craving something foodie-yet-accessible, we headed over again for a relaxed dinner with our two teenage boys. A few bobbles in service were disappointing: While we had made a reservation, the hostess steered clear of the four cozy-looking empty booths to head to the table crammed in the corner closest to the street and the revolving door. I had to ask for a booth before she re-routed. Our server seemed rushed and a bit stressed. Our food was good, not great: The chef repeats some ingredients too often: duck, for example,was everywhere. And aLOT of options combined sweet/savory--our kale salad had a sweet dressing plus nut brittle--too much sweet. A few purely savory options would be nice."

"Solid entry into the "small plate" dining scene. Extensive cheese tasting offerings, and fresh twists on small plates make for a welcome departure from ho-hum dining. Slightly crowded dining rooms, but excellent service and cozy decor create a very pleasant atmosphere. Our food arrived quickly, and was very well prepared. the eclectic menu could make it hard to create a "full meal" for someone looking for a traditional meal, but i was NOT hungry when we left. Look forward to going back soon."

"Service was excellent at Fork. They serve some dishes in adorable iron pots, and when I inquired about their origin, a member of the bus staff (not even a waiter!) checked with the manager and got the product and company name and contact information.

The hostess and overall service was great, but unfortunately our server appeared to not want to be working that day, bit of an attitude. The ambiance is nice, I bet this place is great for dinner. Honestly, I do not think we will be dying to come back for brunch, this place did not have anything that was outstanding that would warrant us to come back when there are so many other options. Worth the try and will do for a nice brunch, that is all."

"I picked this restaurant becuase I had a taste for a cheese plate. My date and I didnt have a traditional meal here. I had a wine flight, the crowd pleaser cheese plate and a meat plate and my date went crazy with there extensive beer listing, If you like or love beer, come here and just check out the menu, it is also nice that you can do beer flights, so you can try a few you have never had before. We were sat a a two top table, but once the waitress realized we would need more room with all the food on the table, she helped us move to the table next to us which had more room. This is a great place for cheese, wine, cured meats and beer."

"A surprise awesome dining experience!! I'm glad that I decided to try a new restaurant in Lincoln Square, as the wines (flights) were great, the service warm and helpful, and the food was all well prepared (the mussel special of the day was my favorite, but everything was good... including brussel sprouts, rueben flatbread, housemade cured salmon, and foie gras mousse. I can't wait to go back, and the brunch menu looks worth a try too!"

"Such a nice place! My husband and I had our first date at another restaurant that resided in Fork's location. We love getting to go to Fork and remember our beginnings. We love the small bites kind of nosh they offer. Although, this evening I had the lake trout special and it was really great, with golden beets and a wonderful sauce, just yummy. My husband had the French Mussells and the garlic cilantro fries. So wonderfully decadent. I wanted dessert, but I had no room. The trout was so good. We are looking forward to returning soon. Oh, and our server was so good, very friendly but never clingy. But somehow, always there when we needed something. And she got the bartender to make me a small martini, which was perfect. Thanks!"

"Another great meal with great service from Nico. We enjoyed the garlic-cilantro fries as an appetizer and then the four of us each chose different items. We were all quite happy with your choices. I had the chicken burger and greens -- a great combo. I had a dessert special as well -- a chocolate ganache on a shortbread crust -- delicious! Hope it gets added to the regular menu."
