"The restaurant is located at the Bel Air Hotel, which is quaint and gorgeous. It is well known for its creeks, swans, and bridges. The restaurant is beautifully situations. The food is quite good, but my feeling is that you can find better food for the price. They charge a premium here because of the ambiance. You'll find better food in the heart of Beverly Hills."

"This was my first time at this restaurant, and I was very impressed. The only criticism I have is that the service was slow, but since we were not in a hurry, that was fine. The food was excellent and the waiters were very polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. The hotel is on absolutely gorgeous grounds, and one should definitely arrive early so they have time to walk around before going in to dinner. If you've never been, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Great for special occasions. Yes, it is pricey, but that's to be expected given the location."

"My sister and I dined at the Bel-Air for the first time and the rave reviews are not exaggerating. Being a cynical New Yorker we went with open minds and hungry stomaches expecting whatever.But the hype is well deserved. Kudos to the Chef, kitchen staff and waitstaff. The ambiance isn't bad either. It was one of the most delightful and seemless dining experiences we have ever had.The Sweet Corn Tortelloni was one of our favorites, the flavors and lightness of the food was incredible. We had the Meatloaf on the Monday night which was superb.

"I have lived in the neighborhood for 12 years and love everything about the new restaurant (maybe not so new any more). My husband and I frequent the bar and restaurant. I have had a couple of private events, been there for brunches, lunches, teas, dinners, and drinks/food in the bar (lots of date nights). The service in the restaurant is great-- always pleasant and gracious! The food always outstanding. I always share my great experiences at Wolfgangs with my friends and always recommend them to go and enjoy. All those I have recommended to your restaurant, were grateful for the recommendation-- they loved the experience as much as we do. See you soon!"

"We love Wolfgang Puck's restaurants, but this one is a cut above the rest. The setting, the food, the atmosphere and the staff are all exceptional. This was the second time we've had dinner there and we can't wait to go back. Everyone's food was excellent and I have several food allergies and the chef was extemely accomodating. The pastry chef even made a Grand Marnier souffle for me to assure we that it was 100% gluten free.
We had the steak tartare, salads, Dover Sole, Lamb Chops and Jidori Chicken with sides of polenta and yukon gold potatoes - beautiful presentation, good size portions and the flavors were all exceptional!
Note: this is not just a restaurant, put a dinining experience, a place to spend the evening."

"Even though I have heard complaints about the restaurant and bar re-do from friends, this septegenarian loved the ambience on the terrace for lunch and found the new decor elegant and chic.
But best of all, the service was outstanding!!! Everyone was more warm and charming than I could have expected.

"As part of the Bel Air Hotel, the ambience and setting are magical and serene. Light, airy with a green house feel during the day. Plenty of nice booths, and big tables for 6 or 7 tucked away in private niches. Great for families and small groups. The food was very good but not great, especially not at the prices offered. On the lunch menu, the tortilla soup wasn't a $17 bowl of soup. I've had much better at Red O for $10. The lobster Cobb salad was good, but not great, at $34. The mushroom and cheese omelet was good but not to die for. A glass of the "house" Chardonnay, $24!!! The wait staff were young and inexperienced, not polished and refined. This was not a Spago level experience, although the prices led us to anticipate otherwise."

"While the dining room is comfortable, it's a bit bare and sterile. The service is pofessional and friendly, although disappeared too often, leaving our table unattended. My guest was left waiting 15 minutes in the lounge trying to close a tab so we could be seated for dinner. Amuse bouche arrived, but the food runner's thick accent made his description of the "gift from the ktchen" unintelligible -- leaving some at our table unwilling to taste it the mystery food. We would have ordered 2 more bottles of water and one more bottle of wine, but service staff wasn't there when we wanted it. The food it wonderful. Admittedly I am tough on reviewing service-- most dinners will find it exceptional."

"If you didn't know this was operated by Wolfgang Puck, you would think you had made a great discovery. Definitely for mature couples or well mannered families, being on the sedate side almost too much. But the look and feel is marvelous, the food as good as one would hope for, plus a great wine list.
The remodeled bar was full, probably half guests of the hotel, and half their visitors. I expected things to be much less active, but this clearly is a winning scene."

"What a wonderful place for lunch. I met two friends for a leisurely lunch. We have settled on this as our go to venue for an elegant repast. The setting is nonpareil and the service is outstanding. As for the food, it is elegant in its simplicity, presentation and taste profiles. We particularly enjoyed our dessert of strawberry and rhubarb cobbler with ice cream was a great end to the meal. "The courtyard setting for lunch is beautiful.The staff is very friendly, but not overly attentive once you are dining.The food, unfortunately, was subpar. Good presentation with bland taste. Almost institutional. One wouldnt mind so much as the atmosphere carries the place, but the cost of lunch was exorbitant for the results. Many of us had the entree salads that lacked taste entirely. "I actually hate the generic and cold remodel of what was once a very charming restaurant. I also do not appreciate the divided seating, which makes patrons in the "second" area feel like they are in Siberia. It's the opposite of cosy and quite an uncomfortable atmosphere. The interiors of the Bel Air have been destroyed by an executive office designer with a blank check."

"This was our first trip back since the renovation - and a special occasion for my mother's 80th birthday. The prices were exorbitant and the food did not live up to expectation - not even close. We could have had a much better breakfast at AOC or any number of other restaurants around town. We chose this restaurant assuming the food would be sublime. It was not. In addition, I was shocked when the bill came and the cost of 2 glasses of champagne was $56. If you are going to charge such an exorbitant price for a glass of champagne, you should warn people when they order. It was not listed on the menu and I never could have imagined this. Outrageous!"

"Service in bar almost non existent.
The service in the restaurant was un professional
We've eaten at Spago numerous times and over 100 times at Chinois and the food is always spectacular.
When we arrive at the bar we first asked the restuarant to decant the bottle of wine we brought. This didn't happen till after we were seated in the restaurant and asked twice.
The Salmon pizza was soggy and the fish my wife ordered was dry."

"While the restaurant was beautiful, the service was exceptionally slow. Additionally, seated very near to us were about 8 women who were very noisy, taking over the entire area. The food was o.k. but not exceptional and certainly not worth the price."

"Amazing!!!! The setting and decor are fantastic. The food is out of this world! Our server was a blast. I cannot recommend this enough. I can't wait to return to LA to visit again. It was like a dream."

"Everything was absolutely wonderful. The wait staff was all superb, the food amazing, and over atmosphere a true treat. This is a perfect spot for a business lunch, a romantic interlude, or a special occasion with friends and family. Save time to explore the gardens and the hotel property overall!"

"Delicious food in a beautiful setting. As wonderful as Spago but with the magical setting of the Hotel Bel Air. Expensive but--unlike so many--worth every penny. Don't be put off by the open air setting in the winter--the heat lamps work well?"

"i thought the restaurant and grounds were beautiful. hostess was snooty and tried to seat us outdoors even if it was cold and we insisted on sitting inside. our service was great. we got the whole fish. it was light and very tasty but they took too long too debone and it was cold."

"When I asked for sparkling water,I was told they didn't have any but had Pellegrino?Could we get some sliced limes with that? Asked for the 4th time & gave up.We never able to figure out who was our waiter; we were served by 5 different people, who didn't share what we had ordered or were drinking.Beet salad and a kale salad to start-the beet salad needed salt.There was no salt on the table so after trying to flag down someone for 5 minutes, we were able to ask for some;that request was apparently relayed to the same persome in charge of the limes, because it never showed either.Main dishes were average.Cheeseplate for dessert, ehh-staff could prononce cheeses but had no knowledge of what they were; 35 min wait for check. 1 out of 10*"

The food was unbelievably delicious!
The service was personal and friendly, informative and charming.

"Everything Wolfgang Puck does is perfection. We go to restaurants all over town, but when we want to have a particularly special meal and experience, we return to any Wolfgang Puck restaurant. From the moment you arrive at Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, you feel you've entered a peaceful, beautiful environment. The grounds of the hotel are lush and scenic. The indoor-outdoor setting of the restaurant is elegant and somehow the tables of interesting-looking people talking and laughing never become loud. The wait staff is warm and attentive, and the service is professional and "crisp". The food is always so good; every bite you eat is delicious and full of flavor. Overall, it's a fantastic, special place."

"The atmosphere is beautiful. I recently had an outstanding dinner here but the lunch wasn't good. Could not have been the same chef/team. The salad was soggy and there was a mishap other dishes. The staff also ignored the situation until asked repeatedly and the manager was apologetic. I want to give it a try again because of the beautiful environment but I don't think for lunch. Maybe teatime is better."
