Campo - Reno
Campo - Reno is a Rustic Neighborhood Restaurant. We have relaxed but attentive service. We change the menu daily. We serve local and organic foods. We serve Naples style Pizza, we cure our own salami and make all our pasta in house. Our beverage program is as fresh and seasonal as our menu. We have a fun and affordable wine menu and by the glass program. Campo runs many promotions, so please check our website www.camporeno.com to see what may be going on right now. Our patio is right on the Truckee River in downtown Reno. We bake all our breads in the wood oven and the 2 open kitchens are the focal point of the restaurant. Loosely translated Campo means gathering place. we welcome you to come on down and make yourself comfortable.

"I frequent Campo every other week as it is 2 blocks from my office. The food is usually top notch with only a few misses when it comes to specials. They have tasty cocktails, italian sodas and a relatively good wine/port list.
The service is always friendly and prompt, with only the occasional up-sell attempt.
Its location is very fun with inside views of Sierra St and outside views of the Truckee River.
If you do not like loud restaurants you may want to look else where or just prepare yourself. It is always busy and rather loud. This is good for groups and couples that do not mind sitting side by side but if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner this will not be the place for you.

"Love the food at Campo. The menu is a perfect balance between traditional and nuevo, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients, and each dish is executed beautifully, is prepared with high quality fresh ingredients, and has lovely flavor. Our first visit to Campo was on a weeknight, which allowed for a quieter, more relaxed meal with excellent service. Our most recent visit was on Mothers Day. The restaurant was quite full, very loud, and service was not up to expectations. Thankfully, a manager stepped in to help our overwhelmed server, and soon there appeared to be more help called-in to better handle the full house. All in all, our group of six agreed that the food was splendid, but the noise level prevented easy conversation."

"We ate outside since it was such a nice day. Unfortunately the bar next to us also had people outside smoking cigars and cigarettes. The wind blew right in our direction so we got all the smoke right in our faces. But other than that, the food and service was excellent."

"Johnny McCabe is an outstanding chef, he made our birthday dinner exceptional. He not only made sure everything was perfect with our food, he continually made sure our service was on top of things. If you think of this place in context of the overall dining scene in Reno, it certainly wins points for solid quality food and concept. However, when you compare it to any number of places in bigger cities like NY, SF, LA, Chicago - Campo is average at best. Definitely check it out if you find yourself in Reno and don't want to endure a buffet, but don't make a special trip to get here."

"This is the best food in Reno!!! I'm an infrequent visitor to Reno, but have eaten at all the big hotels. I'm done with that. Campo will become a regular stop when I visit. Located on the river walk, just a few short blocks from the downtown casinos, Campo is a true gem. The food is hand-crafted, using only the best of local ingredients (except the tomatoes... they're from Italy). The care they take in the food shows in every bite. Delicioso!"

"Had a fantastic anniversary dinner there. Asked for a Chef's tasting menu (which was not actually on the menu) and the Chef came to our table and ascertained our tastes and put together a very bold, creative and delicious dinner for us and set us up with some wonderful wine pairings. 2 hours later we left as very happy campers and admirers of Campos. It's a wonderful top tier player of the Reno food scene."
