We are North Central Florida's farm-to-table, local, sustainable foods restaurant. Operated by Bert and Tara Gill, Mildred's offers a seasonally changing menu highlighting what is available locally.
Offering quality and freshness with no shortcuts; Chef du cuisine Adam Fehrenbacher and Sous chef Rebecca Garcia prepare each dish from scratch.
We serve organic produce and fresh Florida seafood every day. We feature a full bar, an award winning wine list and homemade cakes and cheesecakes.
Mildred's is proud to say we serve Gainesville's best food! We are also awarded the Golden Spoon for our dedication to great service year after year.
"Restaurant is hidden in a small strip mall. It is very good. We all enjoyed the appetizers esp. the squash! The lamb was so tender it fell off the bone. It was outstanding. We also had salmon, Cornish hen and steak and it also was very good. the only thing we didn't care for was the salads the salad dressing had a bitter taste. But everything else was great including the strawberry short cake and the tagalong cheesecake. If u don't want a rich dessert stick to the shortcake. It is pricey, so I would go there for a special occasion."

"I was pretty excited about eating here, but left slightly disappointed. My wife ordered pompano, it consisted of two small filets, one of which smaller and overcooked/dry to the point of turning brown. My son and I ordered NY Strip, medium. The steak was not very well trimmed, and was pretty tough. I would suggest they ask their purveyor for a better marbled steak, or that they investigate the wonders of marination. Service was meh."

"Ww always enjoy the food at Mildred's. We go early before it gets full and it never fails we have to sit right next to someone else. This visit when we arrived there were maybe 6 other people dining. We were sat at a table a couple over from everyone else, plenty of room. (it is one big room with tables practically on top of each other) Then 5 minutes into our drinks a party of 4 (2 rather large men) were sat at the table right next to us. They could have eaten off of our table. It ended up being fine, but we could hear their entire conversation and several requests for the wait staff to bring the food because they were in a hurry. Good food and service, but if you're looking for privacy-not here."
