"The canadian bacon coupled with a ceasar salad is fantastic and out of this world! Steak for two was very good and cooked to our liking (although a bit on the smaller side of a steak for two, but relative to the price is a fair and nice piece of meat. We had the sauteed spinach and mash and that was also very good. i would definitely go back!"

"Our third time at MJ and it did not disappoint. First course of crabcake appetizer and tomatoes/onions (especially with the MJ steak sauce) were awesome. Steak was prepared perfectly MR and tasted great. Sides ordered (creamed spinach and hash browns) were delicious. Service was very attentive but we were not rushed. Will definitely be back again!"

"terrible service for lunch when restaurant was not crowded. Very embarassing that my clients had to leave immediately after eating when it took an hour and a half to get our food. Restaurant had about five tables full. There was no excsue and no accommodation to the bill."

"We had Steak for Two. It was good but the size was small for $88. The drinks from the bar were fair at best and pricey. We ordered Sambucca Romano with espresso for desert and I can assure you it was not authentic. It tasted like rubbing alcohol. Only a fair experience to improve they need to change the music, increase the steak portion and improve the quality of the drinks."

"I have been coming to Mark Joseph's for years with smaller parties. When we needed a place to celebrate with a big party(11), it is the only place I could think of; and they delivered for me in a big way. The service was great, the food was excellent and was brought out in a timely fashion. The manager took the time to introduce herself and even used her contacts to make special arrangement for us later in the evening. Mark Joseph's is a hidden gem, that is worth the trip to the seaport. I cannot express how highly I think of this place and will continue to do so. I have been a fan for a long time, but after our dinner they gained 10 more."

"Definitely worth going to if you like good steak. Nothing amazing but definitely very good. I asked for the steak medium rare and it was a perfect medium rare. The wait staff was very pleasant and it made the meal even more enjoyable. They didn't mind that we stayed an extra couple of hours since the place wasn't packed. They just came back and refilled our waters."

The waitstaff are all real characters with a lot of personality to share, while still being very professional. "Dinner at MarkJoseph was a memorable experience. We had a great waiter without feeling smothered. The smell of steak was everywhere and wonderful. I was impressed by the selection of wines. I had the porterhouse steaks and loved it. Can't wait to come back to try the rib steak. My wife loved the Shrimp and Sashimi dishes. A real New York Restaurant experience. Great atmosphere and great bar crowd. Bartender Jared made us feel at home. Definitely coming back for more."

The good was terrific. Better than I expected. The sirloin and cooked to perfection and very, very tasty. I thought the creamed spinach was just perfect. Not too creamy and not overwhelming with nutmeg. Overall, everything was excellent and I would definitely return."

"I went to MarkJoseph during restaurant week and really enjoyed myself. This is a place I would could never afford without restaurant week on my paycheck. My friends and I went early on Friday (4:30 reservation) and the wait staff was friendly and helpful. If you have the chance to go; do so."

WE WENT THERE DURING THE RESTAURANT WEEK LAST WEEK. AFTER WE PLACED THE ORDER, THEY DO NOT BRING US THE ROLLS..WHEN WE GOT THE ROLLS, THEY DID NOT BRING US THE BUTTER. WHEN WE PURCHASED COFFEE FOR OUR DESERTS, THEY DID NOT BRING US SUGAR. EVERY SINGLE THING, WE HAVE TO CHASE THEM FOR REQUEST. I AM VERY TIRED & DO NOT ENJOY OUR LUNCH AT ALL. WHEN THEY BRING US THE STEAKS. WE DO NOT KNOW WHY THEY HAVE TO PRE-SLICE FOR US. THE CHEESE CAKE TASTE WORSE THAN YOU GOT IT FROM SUPERMARKET."
