"I have had many a wonderful meal at Pikayo, and the staff are always a pleasure. It is on the more expensive end, but so long as you are comfortable with that going in, you should have a great experience. The dessert souffles (chocolate and cheese/guava) are spectacular...if you are a dessert person, definitely consider giving the souffles a try."

"Went to Pikayo's for our anniversary dinner. Very good service. Outstanding food. The tables for two are very close together and you have to listen to your neighbors conversation because there is no other alternative. You feel exposed and it really curtails your conversation."

"We have followed and enjoyed Pikayo and Wilo throughout their many venues in Condado. Each location has been a new and exciting treat. From beginning to end, every detail was handled professionally and impeccably. Simply said, they have never disappointed us. It's a "must go!!!""

"One of the finest meals we have experienced anywhere.
My wife had the classic tasting, and I was encouraged to create my own tasting ... their flexibility to accommodate was awesome, and I wish all restaurants could make you feel this special as a guest.
Every plate & bite were perfect, no exaggeration.
Quail, Tuna Tartare, Octopus, Foie Gras, Burrata, Scallop Ravioli, Tomato Salad, Shrimp/Polenta, Petit Fillet, mini soufflés. (do NOT miss the cheese soufflé)
The menu is large enough that we could have done 3 more tastings & not repeat a dish.
We travel to L.A., NYC, New Orleans, Vegas, etc. and make it a point to seek out great restaurants:
Pikayo just jumped to the top of our list. Go. Enjoy!"

"Hubbie and I went there for special night out. Arrived before 7 which gave us a chance to see the beautiful view of the ocean and palm trees. We were seated immediately by friendly attentive staff. Blueberry gazpacho amouse Bouche was delicious. Decided on prix fix, I did the Puerto Rican and hubby the classic. Every single dish was delicious. There was not one of the combined 12 dishes sampled that was not out of this world. Highly recommend this place. It is expensive but worth it.

"Pikayo is a romantic restaurant with views overlooking the ocean and a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We stay at La Concha for my wife's 30th birthday and the restaurant was in walking distance. The service is excellent and the view is beautiful. Get there around 7p and you can see the sunset. We both did the tasting menu and they were accommodating to my wife's allergies. The food was good - not overly amazing, but it's certainly worth it of you're looking for a fancier night in PR. One thing to note: they charge $2/person for bottled water and don't really give you the option to ask for tap. If you want tap, make sure you say something before they start pouring the Evian. For 2 people, plan to spend at least $200 total."

"Really enjoyed Pikayo. My wife and I went there for dinner while on our honeymoon and the food was excellent, the atmosphere was modern, stylish, and vibrant. Dishes are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend it."

"I get put off when we get poured bottled Evian water without asking and find a $2. pp charge listed for it when we got the menus later. The sesame butter & warm bread were great but you had to ask for each piece. The apps were very good. When my wife switched her entree from salmon to the lobster special, there was no mention of the $65. Price. My whole fried snapper as was my wife's lobster were excellent. We did get 2 comp. glasses of champagne for our anniversary which was very nice. The 2 sides that we ordered w dinner never arrived. The chocolate souffle we shared was great. The waiter's assistant was good but the waiter was very inattentive, seemingly busier with larger groups. Not worth the $190. without drinks."

"Hands down the best dining experience of my life. We got the tasting menu - she ordered the classic and I got the puertorican one. Both were out of this world! Tuna tartare with green caviar and jalepenos and miso sauce was to die for. Corned beef over plantain with fricasse sauce was tantalizing- I wanted to lick the plate but refrained. Service was on point- very organized and methodical. Food came out with perfect timing and we each had 5 different dishes - each 1 seemed to be served at exactly the right time. 10 different dishes total between the 2 of us- each 1 packed with flavor and cooked masterfully- when we thought it couldn't get any better, it did. Over and over again. 5 stars is not high enough for this place."

"Our first stop in Puerto Rico and the food was amazing! Our only problem was that the two tables on both sided of us who ordered after us got their food first. After waiting for about 25- 30 minutes we asked our server if he knew how much longer. He gave a blank and walked off. We then waited, while the tables next to us moved on to dessert. A gentlemen was walking around asking people how their experience experience was. whoever that man was seem to light a fire under our server and he came over and told us our food would be out in just a moment. Although two tables seated after us were served before us and our food took about 45 to 50 minutes; this was an amazing honeymoon dinner."

"This is not an inexpensive restaurants. Without asking us, they served us Evan water and then charges us extra for it. I will say that even though food was expensive- $18 for a salad and $45 for sea bass, the portions were nice sided.m i only wish the fish had been good enough to finish."

"We absolutely loved this restaurant.
A friend from home (NYC) suggested that we try it. We were initially "put off" because of the loud casino across the hall but once inside the restaurant everything was perfect.

"We just dined here for our wedding night. We were more than pleased. The dinner was amazing as well as the service. My husband had the tasting menu and I ordered a la carte. I think that was a good way to go so you can try a little of everything. The tuna tartars are a must as well as the froie gras and the Soufflés. "We asked to sit by the window to get a nice view and booked the earliest time (6:30PM) just to make sure they will have the table available. We really wanted to order the tasting menu, but we never had foie gras and weren't sure if we'd like it, so we just ordered from the menu. We ended up getting the scallop ravioli and mushroom risotto as appetizers; sea bass with asparagus and large shrimp with mashed root as entree, and a combo of chocolate and cheese soufflé. The mushroom risotto, although on the salty side, was really good. The sea bass was also cooked perfectly and was buttery. We also liked the soufflé which you should order with your meal. I thought the chocolate one was better than the cheese one."

"I was at Pikayo 20 years ago when it was located in Old San Juan. I had a business project that took up most of a year and Pikayo was our "go to" spot for a great meal when we were in San Juan.
My memory wasn't disappointed, and in fact, Pikayo was better than I remembered! The menu was always great for fresh, inventive seafood and via the Puerto Rican Tasting Menu, we weren't disappointed. The shrimp and whitefish (whose name I don't remember) were standouts. The beef entrees were also great and the cheese flan desert was spectacular.
Service was top notch - as good as I've experienced. I hope I have a reason to return in less than 20 years!"

"While the food was great, the service was poor. The waiter did not pay attention to us, and never came back to check on us after the food arrived. He was not very helpful when we asked questions about the menu either, as there is a tasting menu and we were unsure of some of the items. The restaurant is in a beautiful location with a great view and the food is great. High quality service should be expected."

"We selected Pikayo for our 20th wedding anniversary celebration dinner and were not disappointed. The food was excellent with lovely use of local ingredients (the fois gras was the best I've ever had); presentation was excellent. Chef Benet made a stop at our table which was a treat. Service was good but not on par with other restaurants of this caliber...although it was a Tuesday night. Highly recommended."

"Piyako is a must restaurant while visiting San Juan. It is a modern, beautiful restaurant with a very attentive staff.I took my teenage daughter and we both enjoyed the special appetizers if the day, cheese empanadas and roast beef sliders. The owner came over and thanked us for coming. Just not appropriate for young children."

"Great food.. The menu is very diverse and most dishes sound as though they would be great. We had The beef carpaccio and Tuna Tartar.. Both were very good. My fiance had a pasta appetizer and I had the swordfish entree. Both were delicious and the appetizer portion was the perfect size for my Fiance as an entree. Our server was very good but, could have been more personable or engaging but, we had an assistant server who was very fun to talk to and interact with. He made up for the lack of personality of our waiter."

"I've been traveling to PR for 7 years on business and had the best dining experience here at Pikayo. We ate late, around 9pm and the restaurant was still busy but not crowded. We the atmosphere is refined and quiet, very very nice for a romantic or business dinner. Service was excellent. We had the tasting menu and the matching wines. The chef not only did an outstanding job with the preparation, but the pairing of foods and wines made both taste better. Dinner for the two of us with tip was $266; a bit high for PR but certainly worth the splurge while you are on the Island."

"Not up to the hype. The food is definitely good, but not worth the asking price. The truffle and cheese appetizer was bland and the pastry tasted like it had freezer burn. My swordfish was impeccable and my guest had the lamb special, which he found to be very good, but nothing ingenious about the flavor a, just well prepared. I thought the chocolate and cheese soufflés were divine, but my guest disagreed, finding them too sweet.
It's not that the food here is bad, but it's exceptionally pricey and I was expecting a little more creativity with the menu. I was disappointed."

"If you love mushrooms and truffles, this is the place for you! There are very few items on the menu without one of those embedded into it. If neither of them are in the dish, then there is truffle oil - can't seem to get away from it. Unfortunately I don't like either but my wife does and she raved about the dishes. Service suffered a bit and it wasn't that busy that evening. I ordered a steak medium (one of the few things I could find without mushrooms or truffles) without bleu cheese. It came out well done with bleu cheese, no one ever came to check on the temperature of the steak or if I had any issues with it. The restaurant was near empty when we were ready to leave, it took over 20 minutes to get a check."
