"We got there at 7:30 on a Saturday night & if we wouldn't have made our reservation they would have turned us away, like they did to the 2 couples that were ahead of us & you could clearly see that there were open tables on the patio &inside. They didnt have a host so we waited for 10 minutes before one of the staff came to the host stand & acknowledged us. When we were finally seated it took 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken & 10 for it to actually come out. The table of 4 people next to us had been waiting over an hour for just their appetizers! Not to mention that the food was just mediocre definitely not worth the wait. I have worked in many restaurants & this is no way to run a business & expect to have repeat clientele"

"I went there on a Friday for my birthday, with plans for going out after. We had a reservation for 8 and we were seated right away. We ordered drinks first and we didn't even get our water until about 25 minutes in. It took at least 40 more minutes to get our drinks and get to order our food. They rarely checked on us and we didn't get our food until about 2 hours in. The whole thing took around 3 hours."

"Aloha Sushi and Hawaiian Grille is a nice place in a great location. There are outdoor and indoor seating as well as private cabanas. The atmosphere is conducive to conversations, but also lively. We ordered teriyaki chicken that came with a side salad and macaroni and island sushi. Both were flavorful and tasted fresh. We ended our meal with fried banana and vanilla ice cream, which had just the right amount of sweetness and the portion was perfect for sharing with someone. Our server was friendly, but had the challenge of attending to customers since there were only two waitresses that evening. The wait was long. The management certainly did not prepare for the volume of customers, otherwise, we would have had a wondering time!"

"I bought a LivingSocial deal for this restaurant. I took my wife for Mother's Day. I was aware of the awards it had won for best sushi. I can confirm that the sushi specialty rolls (we had the Pizza, Rock Lobster, Tidal Wave rolls) are fantastic. Unfortunately, they were severely understaffed so even though our waitress was apologetic, gave us a free round of drinks and garlic edamame (which was fantastic by the way) it took almost an hour after ordering our first roll before we got it. There was 1 sushi chef working and that wasn't even close to enough. If they had a couple more chefs I think the experience would have been greatly improved.
If you don't mind a wait, the food IS great and you could get free drinks or edamame ;)"

"First time here. A little awkward when walking in; no host area to approach but someone seated us within 10 secs. Pretty good service. Waitress came to refill water twice after we were done eating but did to bring check; had to ask. They mixed up cut roll for hand roll; quickly resolved matter in friendly and professional manner. HIGHLY recommend their kalomari (not fried calamari; its seasoned differently on their menu). Not too saucy, sweet or spicy. I was in love with it. Went on a Saturday night around 8 and it was pretty empty. Their (not sushi) bar area was cute, but no one was there for drinks, order or make. Tables inside are slightly a little too close for comfort. Food was great! Service was good. Recommend!!"

"I have bee to Aloha Sushi a few times in the daytime and loved the ambiance. However, I went at night and noticed that without sunlight and happy dinners (it was slow in the evening as compared to busy in the daytime), it looked a little worn. It needed some perking up like fresh flowers on the table or candles or something to give it a great atmosphere like there is in the daytime.
No matter when you go, the food is amazing! You won't be disappointed. Great customer service too."

"Staff was not ready for the holiday crowd. Food took over an hour from the time we ordered to making it to our table. Once it arrived at the table the food was cold, I assume this wasn't an issue with the kitchen, but an issue with the wait staff bringing the food to the table once ready (only an assumption). Even if the food was warm it was just ok, nothing I couldn't prepare better at home. The drinks were the only above average item on the menu that was ordered and priced well. I would recommend the bar, but not the food. This could have been romantic and a fun place to spend the evening if it wasn't for the long wait for cold (should have been hot) below average food."

"Took my gf here for Valentines day and I had no regrets. I reserved a cabana on the phone and was not told of the minimum required purchase until I arrived. The waitress was not very attentive, but I didn't mind that she wasn't popping up every few minutes to make sure we were fine. When I needed attention, I simply made eye contact and was attended to.
I had no regrets and I will be going back when I'm in the mood for good vibes and romance :)"

"This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The waitress said sorry a million times, the sushi took over an hour to reach our table, and when other people were served food, the person at the table next to me said, "Wow, people are actually being served food here?". It was just an unorganized mess. And the sushi wasn't good enough to save the terrible service. I don't think I've ever written a restaurant review before, and I'll definitely never go back to Aloha Sushi again."

"Went here for restaurant week with friends. The food was amazing, especially the Hawaii 5.0 roll which was my favorite. Service was very fast for the amount of food we ordered. I am definitely planning to go here again soon."

"The food is not traditional Japanese (as if the name doesn't give it away). But it tastes good. I really like the outdoor patio setup. I would recommend this place to friends for lunch."

Review 15 for Aloha Sushi Lounge & Hawaiian Grille
"It was a quiet night so I would've thought service would be prompt. Server barely came outside to check on us. Food was good but Creme brulee was supposed to be served with berries...no berries. Outdoor seating was nice in the cabana."
