Elegance reigns in the sunken dining room, where subdued lighting and light cream walls complement various hues of wood reincarnated from wine barrels. The menu, influenced by Stefano De Lorenzo's Northern Italian origins includes unusual appetizers like home-cured, thinly sliced duck breast with gorgonzola dressing and sea urchin rolls with Mediterranean seabass. For entrees, there is everything from homemade ravioli with foie-gras, duck and truffle sauce to braised lamb shank with mint, roasted tomatoes, garlic and Mediterranean olives.
"I recently dined at La Botte and had made a reservation. We showed up and were told that it would be a while before we could be seated with about 10 tables empty in view. I mentioned we had a reservation and they then seated us immediately. The wait staff then told us that "everyone" showed up within 15 mins of each other. Immediately making it an issue.. While the food was good, the service was sparse, thus took a long time for a table of two to dine. Unfortunate since It was the same experience I had years ago.. but I choose to live a life where even restaurants get a second and sometimes third chance ;-)..."

"I remember this place as fantastic. It was fine this time but nothing special. It was a Monday night but we were only one of 2 tables filled all evening. The asparagus soup was very good, dessert was delicious. The branzino was bland and the pasta portions were small. It was all rather expensive for what it was."

"The ravioli with the sage butter sauce is the best pasta that I have ever had! This is a hidden gem. I live in the area and wish I had known about this place sooner. They serve amazing food at normal price points, I understand how they got their michelin star a few years back."

"We loved La Botte and will return often. Creative menu, attentive staff, attractive restaurant (even if the location wasn't as desirable) and prices were quite reasonable given the quality of the food."

"When La Botte first opened, the chef was like Primo in "Big Night" -- he wouldn't serve you things he didn't think were right... like iced coffee or an entree with an ingredient on the side. Now they seem willing to do anything to make the patron happy (without compromising the quality of the food, of course). Service was very attentive, and the noise level was ideal for conversation (we go early to avoid the usual clamor, so our judgment may be misleading)."

"Very impressed. The food and service were outstanding. I needed a great first date place and this was it. We were able to hear one another! Much easier said the able to find in an upscale restaurant in LA."

"This is a very good restaurant. That said, we couldn't get beyond the music that was playing in the background. It was many genres and very distracting. Tempo ranges from very slow to very fast, and by the end of the dinner, we were laughing at what might come next. Seems like someone just plugged in their ipod."

"Restaurant was inviting and warm. Staff was friendly and attentive, Antonio our server was fantasic. He made our experience. He was able to offer sguggestions for both food and wine. I am not to familiar with Italian wines, so it was very helpful. The dining room is a bit dark and menu was hard too read. Over great dining experience."

"It was truly an awful experience. Our reservation was for 8:30.we weren't seated until 9:15.food was inconsistent"the little we got of it because by 11:30 we left having only eaten a small fraction of our order but having paid for the full thing. It was such a disaster I though Gordon Ramsey was going to show up and scream"I'm shutting it down". I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"Valentine's day. Deliciously fresh salad, gnocchi was a bit too al dente for my liking, then had to wait over 35 mins for our drink and second entree. When it finally came (split order of salmon) my girlfriends was over salted and mine had no seasoning what so ever, extremely bland. Then they have an ipad that you tip on as they stand above you, terribly awkward when looking to reflect their service with my tip. i do not plan on returning."

"I am not sure why anyone would ever "rave" about this restaurant. While the ambiance is current comfortable chic and the food is tasty, neither is by any means exceptional. The tendency to over-salt seemed prevalent in the dishes the four of us ordered. The fact that the restaurant does not have a full bar is a negative, especially in light of an unremarkable wine list. Wines by the glass are few and are REALLY average. My biggest criticism was the service. The servers were polite and pleasant, but inattentive and required repeated requests for water, bread, and utensils that were cleared with the salad course and not replaced prior to the arrival of the main course. On a scale of 1-10, this place gets a 6 and no repeat visit."

"I was very disappointed during our dinner for a few reasons. (1) the hostess(s) were rushing around as if this was their first night, the wait staff was in a similar form and continually forgot items we requested and we would need to ask others. (2) our entrees were fairly simple, branzino and pasta with a lamb ragu. The food was incredibly slow, tables seated after us nearby received their food before us. Once our food arrived the fish was under cooked and the pasta dish was very poorly prepared. Pasta with chopped up, over cooked lamb mixed together with some butter was a very disappointing attempt. (3) lastly, our biggest disappointment was the overall experience, the food was terrible for the price."
