"I had dinner at Le Grand Bistro Mother's Day Evening. This after a long day of yard work and a few well deserved cocktails. This, of course, probably left me a little too tired and tipsy to fully enjoy my dinner. We started with an assortment of cheeses (very good), Duck Rillet and Bone Marrow. Never in a million years would I have ordered the last two items but my son, who is a bit of a foodie, ordered them and made me taste them. Both were actually quite delicious. We also had some wonderful bread with an amazing, citrusy butter. Entrees were excellent as was the wine and our server was delightful, informative and very efficient. Would love to write more but the review section allow for much. Overall a great evening!"

"I brought my mother here on mothers day for there brunch buffet and it was wonderful! The food was great the service was very friendly and energetic, and the restaurant it self has the charm of a small bistro in France. It was a a little loud but not to loud that we couldn't talk to each other or anything, and I think it was mostly due to it being mothers day so there we some younger children around that I would assume wouldnt normally be there. We looked at the other menus as well and they all had some wonderful sounding dished on them, I am definitely going to go back again! They also have a good variety on the wine list, and a full service bar as well."

"This is my favorite restaurant, so the review reflects that there were two private events going on and the noise level was deafening. We will stay away from weekend nights from now on, but we will certainly go back. It is a wonderful place for Francophiles."

"This was the third time I've been to Le Grand Bistro. The atmosphere is old world Bistro, high end service, and relaxed attitude, which could be a difficult combination to pull off, but they do it well. While the servers employ impeccable standards, their casual attire and big smiles make you feel at ease. The food is a mix of current cuisine trends, bistro classics, and interesting twists to bring it all together. The execution is exacting and the end result is a high end meal at a fair price and a welcoming air surrounding it all. The St. Germain cocktail is a spring time must and the wine list has something to meet everyone's taste. The Steak Frite was a delicious classic, presented nicely and cooked perfectly."

We told our waiter that we had a show to get to at the nearby Buell theater at 7:30, yet our main course arrived one hour and fifteen minutes after we first sat down. Turned down finishing off my wife's enormous entre just to allow my meal to linger. "We went to the Easter Brunch ($35/ea) at Le Grand Bistro and it was fantastic! The food was perfectly prepared and the selection was amazing. There were two carving stations (ham and prime rib) as well as two custom-order omelet stations. There were also dozens of other prepared dishes to choose from: ham and veg benedicts, scrambled eggs, bacon, HUGE tail-on shrimp and oysters on the halfshell, plus cheeses, breads, fruits, yogurts, etc. (too many to name). And for the little ones, chafing dishes with chicken tenders and mac & cheese. The dessert bar had a great assortment of sweets to please any palate. "We went here on the recommendation of Colorado's Best and bought a coupon for $15.00 for a $35.00 brunch and they did not honor it!!!!!! Also, when I called to make reservations they said they were a gluten free restaurant NOT!!!!! Then what was advertised on the Colorado's Best show what the brunch included was not true and was a very skimpy brunch for the cost. Probably the only thing that was good was the valet parking!!!!!"

"Had a family gathering for Easter brunch. Had chosen the restaurant because one of our party has lived in France. There was something on the buffet for everyone; including a nice variety for our one vegetarian. We noted there were families; one table on the buffet had mac and cheese, potato pops and chicken bites--clearly an accommodation for young guests. Restaurant was accommodating to our request for a different table in a quieter corner-one individual in our party has a hearing problem and the noise level at our original table made it difficult for her to enjoy the occasion. When we had to wait a bit for a booth to clear they provided drinks to us at the outside tables. The person who has lived in France declared the food delicious."

"The food here is excellent! Our party of 4 had a 6pm reservation but arrived very early (around 5:40). Dinner service had not picked up, so the hostess offered to seat us immediately (I was expecting to sit at the bar until 6:00). We accepted a table and after a few minutes our waiter greeted us and took a drink order. It was another 20 minutes before our drinks arrived, at which time he inquired if we were going to the theatre after, and I told him we were. Eventually we ordered but our dinner didn't arrive until 6:50, at which point we were starting to feel the press for time to eat, pay and make it back the block and a half walk to the Buell before the 7:30 show. We would have appreciated more time to enjoy the food, and less waiting."

"Le Grand continues to impress. Once again they were rockstars with our large group of 15 people. We were loud, obnoxious and I'm sure a really pain for the staff, but they never missed a beat. The food all came at once and was amazing as usual."

"I was so looking forward to Le Grand because of recommendations from co-workers and the proximity of the spot to the DCPA.
It started out with misfires on two of our four cocktails.
It moved on to an appetizer that had to be sent back to the kitchen and redone. It had been killed in the frying process. Bland, bitter oyster's Rockefeller and my scallop entree had four scallops for $27 bucks.
Service was decent but I probably will not be back for awhile."

"There is a wide variety on the lunch menu and I plan to go back to check out some of the other items that sound wonderful. The Coq au Vin was excellent but not a huge portion. The bread was great and I love the touch of lemon zest in the butter. My friend had the chicken sandwich and she thought it was great and it seemed like a really big serving especially with the french fries."

"I've been many times and Le Grand is always spot on. Great oysters, pate, really everything. This meal got off to a bit of a rough start though because of parking. Le Grand offers valet for Friday and Saturday night, but it really needs to bring it on for weekend brunch. I dropped off my girlfriend and her parents and searched for parking for 45 minutes. Nearby lots were full and it was really hard to find a metered spot. Ultimately it was worth the hassle, but Le Grand would be greatly improved by offering valet during weekend brunch."

"My wife and I went here for dinner. We started our meal off with the french onion soup and the beet salad. Both were fantastic. Our main courses included a tasty gnocchi with duck confit and seared scallops that were cooked perfectly and tasted divine. For dessert we had the tangerine napoleon that was also outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"I really enjoyed the mussels dish. It was superb. The server wasn't very informative. She described a Chardonnay as a sweet wine. The restaurant could have used a little remodeling. The floor had some tiles coming up so you had to be careful not trip especially if you had heels on."

"Le Grand Bistro has an unique atmosphere like you would find in Paris or London. It has that special feel to it - which makes it a delight. We have eaten here before and since we were attending a play at the DPAC we decided to take advantage of their Denver 5280 Restaurant Week menu. I started with the Bid Salad (though I do love their Lobster Bisque), while my wife had the French Onion soup. It is hard to find a good French Onion soup, however, the chef has mastered this incredibly well! We then moved on to second course of Coq Au Vin (Chicken) and Souris d'Agneau (Lamb) and finished the meal sharing a Tart Normandy (Pears)! It was great to be back at the Bistro again!"

"We went to the Le Grand Bistro during the recent Denver $52.80 restaurant week and were glad that we did. The food was very good although when the entrees came out initially they were on the cool side. The waiter took them back to heat them up. Once they were at a proper serving temperature, we thought that they were very good. Will definitely add this restaurant to our return to list. The meals were comped even though we asked them not to do so. That will also encourage us to go back."
