Welcome to The M&M. We are an upbeat, upscale Island Casual Tavern-- a place for locals as well as visitors to the island to gather. Located in historic downtown Galveston, our building was built in 1844. We have many drink and food specials far too numerous to mention. We feature Live Acoustic Entertainment three nights per week from local artists. We feature a "Backyard" style secluded patio and it is pet friendly. The M&M....Friendly, Affordable and Island Casual.

"M&M has a great menu, with lots of wonderful items to choose from. The food was great. They have a good wine list. The staff were friendly, and service was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"It was a Sunday afternoon.

"Maybe the best crab cakes in Galveston, and Snapper Diablo was excellent. We had a server and trainee, blind leading blind. No offer for second drinks, just took unfinished bread away without offering refill. Entrees arrived early, we felt very rushed."

"We went for Sunday. Brunch and they were short handed. Many people left because they couldn't get water! I don't know where the manager was but they shouldn't have seated people if they didnt have enough food. Our food was excellent but took a long time to get"

"The adult meals were great. The ceviche was wonderful. The sauces on the fish were really good (although the jalepeno sauce on the tuna was like the chip dip at Chuy's). The kids were squeezing grease out of their burgers like a sponge. None of them could finish because they were grossed out. The service was sub par. We had a trainee working under an experienced waitress. The trainee was better than his mentor."

"menu appeared to have undergone minor chnages - enjoyed the M&M salad and pork chops -although they are called pork chops Jack Daniels they did not have the typical sauce you expect with this name. My wifes fried shrimp were excellent."

"Our first time, and it will not be our last. The deep wood hues make it cozy as you enter M&M. The wait staff was very cordial and efficient. They were happy to make suggestions for our first foray. The fried asparagus was delicious. The crab cakes literally melted in your mouth, and the red snapper had just the right among of spice to make it peppy and delicious with the crawfish sauce. The wine list held several of our favorites, and the price list was great! We will return with friends and sample more of the menu."

"Food was excellent but waitress ,assume she was new , never brought bread, never refilled water ,was asked several times about availability of a black napkin for one of the ladies with black pants but never gave a clear answer and never provided one. We had two bills for table ,one for each couple -she reworked them 3 times trying to get them right and we finally gave up -paid what we were given and then just squared up later."

"Very nice restaurant. They feature fruit infused drinks that are very tasty. We went during restaurant week where they features a fix priced dinner that was delicous and more than we could eat. Next time I am down in Galveston, I plan to go back."
