"This is a nice place for a special occasion. Draw backs-you need to go through a smokey casino to get to the restaurant. Not that easy if you have anyone in your party that needs extra time to walk some place. The service was mediocre, but that was just our waiter, perhaps the other waiters are better. Great bus boy, really took care of us better than the waiter. Would not go back, but they do have booths with curtains that you can draw closed for privacy."

"Ciera is a wonderful dining experience in Tahoe. I had the abalone which was worth every penny and my husband had the porterhouse steak and loved every bite. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. Highly recommend it."

"Service attentive, not rushed. The menu had great options. Malpeque oysters and escargots to start. Both exceptional. Tomatoes, mozzarella and sweetest onions we have ever tasted. Porterhouse and Ribeye steaks, cooked to perfection, tender, beautifully seasoned, though oversized. Definitely big enough to share. Mushroom ragout was delicious. Only flaw was the over-garlicky, removed from bill without asking. Surprised us with a shared chocolate lava cake and Anniversary card with our names, signed by staff. Lovely tea selections, then complimentary chocolate-dipped strawberries. A memorable evening. Highly recommended. Use the valet parking or be prepared for a walk from a packed parking lot or building, through the smoky gambling floor."

"This was a nice find in the Montbleu Casino in Tahoe. I would venture to say that this would be one of the highest end restaurants in the casinos. Would not call it true fine dining because the portions were absolutely HUGE. However, we thought the food was good, nice cocktails, friendly service. Would definitely go back if we are in South Lake again.
Of special note, they have these great booths that you can draw the curtains on... very swanky/romantic."

"we dine here everytime we are in tahoe and its always fantastic. Food is on the high end but worth every penny. We are simple eaters usually steak but their gourmet selections are plentiful. each dish is carefully prepared and the giant baked potato is truly giant. all sides are generous portions."

"This was our second visit as we have spent our last two anniversaries in Tahoe. We love dinning at Ciera Steakhouse for the food and ambiance. This is definitely the spot when you know that you want to go all out and spare no expense. The atmosphere is very classy and the booths with curtains are romantic. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive. The first time we went all out and had the Lobster dinner. On our most recent visit we had the fillet minion topped with asparagus and crab meat and it was the most tender fillet I have ever had. If you like seafood as I do, then the Lobster bisque is a must have with every meal there! Over all a great romantic spot just come prepared to pay. It is definitely worth the price."

"This is our anniversary spot. It is not budget friendly, but once a year we pull out all the stops. Ciera makes it worth the price. Private, curtained dining booths, impeccable service, and the food is the best I have ever had. Husband and I both had the Filet Oscar, a salad and shared a side of garlic mashed potatoes. We also each took half the portion home...it was that generous.
Please leave the kids at home. Dress up nice and enjoy a luxury evening. You'll be glad you did."

"My partner and I went for Valentine's day since we were visiting Lake Tahoe. We made the reservation via open table and then contacted them via phone to find out if they had a special prix fixe- the woman who answered said, "no, they would have told me that." When we arrived they did have a prix fixe menu which we ordered from. The lobster was tasty but the chef left it in too long - overcooked lobster is difficult to eat. The other course were excellent though! The only other bad experience was my mojito which had whole mint (wasn't muddled at all). My partner's drink and other course were good and service was very good."
