A slightly more dolled up version of its Brooklyn predecessor, this location of Fatty 'Cue embodies the same spirit, energy and cutting-edge cuisine as the original. The space is artfully divided into three distinct areas, providing a variety of dining experiences. Chef Zakary Pelaccio and Executive Chef Corwin Kave's menu takes the original Fatty 'Cue tenets and applies them here to a more evolved menu.
"Attractive restaurant, very good wait staff. The menu was very short, which I guess is OK if you find something hyou want, which we dild, more or less. Ever dsh, however, was bland and underspiced, at least for my taste. My wife, who has a more delicate poalate, thought it was OK, so I guess it's a toss-up"

"We've been to Fatty Crab a number of times, but found Fatty Cue delicious and delightful. It is however, ridiculously expensive for the extremely small portions and I can only see this as a special occasion restaurant."

"Absolutely delicious food sadly let down by the service , made our entire group feel the guy was doing us a favour actually serving us. an easy recommendation for food sadly let down by service. A great pity !"

"I had the lamb ribs, which were very tasty although a little fatty. My husband had the pork spare ribs. It was a healthy portion and he enjoyed them. My only complaint would be the fact that they do not serve bread. As we did not order appetizers, we would have liked something to hold us over until our meal arrived. Other than that, it was a nice restaurant"

"Great spot, beautiful decor, great food and wonderful host. The waiters don't really bother you much which is good or bad depending on who you ask. we were lucky enough to sit near Philip probably the general manager, but was at the host post. He described the menu wonderfully and with much enthusiasm when i asked for a recommendation. Every thing he recommend was as described and wonderful. The pork ribs were out standing , the bacon was crazy good and we had to have fish because we just couldn't handle all that meat. The whole Dorade was also great, and i happen to eat fish alot, mostly in mediteranian places, it was definitely on par. All in all I would love to go back. Note not for ppl who are in to bland food."

"Overrated. The food is not that great and does not worth the price. Service is expeditious and you can not speak with other people (music is too loud). Critics should go back there and adapt their reviews because there is a large gap between the reputation of this restaurant and what it really is. Very disappointed."

"The chicken liver mousse was excellent. The deep fried bacon was very good, although I could have been happier with a bit more crunch and more done. Service was excellent."

"I have wanted to go to Fatty Cue for a long time as I love Fatty Crab, but I was totally disappointed in the whole experience. The food was good, but not amazing. The restaurant was totally empty by 10:00pm and had a very lonely vibe - I like to dine in restaurants with some good energy - this didn't have it. The service was very nice - but $300.00 for dinner for three people for an experience such as we had with only good food and poor ambiance was really disappointing. I would never go back or recommend Fatty Cue to anyone and I don't know that I would go back to Fatty Crab after this experience either."

"Fatty Cue! What a great name. The food is so fatty you really can't eat it. We ordered two meat dishes. One for a starter and one main course. There was so much fat I honestly couldn't eat it! Would never go back unless I was looking for a heart attack!"

"Very creative menu and presentation. Very attentive service. This is a restaurant worth checking out. A little noisy on a Friday night, but, once you start in on the food, you'll never notice."

"Over-priced, mediocre BBQ. Menu was uninspiring, hipster waiters (in flannel shirts) were annoying, and food overall left much to be desired, as well as a stomach ache that lasted 12 hours. Clearly, they are cashing in on whatever reputation the original Brooklyn site had, but save your money and go elsewhere."

"What a disappointment! I LOVE Fatty Crab. Never had a bad bite there. Fatty Cue is the exact opposite. I appreciate what they are trying to do conceptually, an interesting fusion of BBQ and SEA street food. However, the execution of the food was a fail on almost every level. I won't recount all of their crimes but there was not one dish that we enjoyed eating. Much was left on the plate, and the Duck Laab was literally nauseating.
To give credit where due, the service was sufficiently efficient and competent. The cocktails were creative and tasty. The decor and vibe set exactly the right tone for a BBQ joint in the WV, fun and casual but stylish."

"Fatty Cue (it's just fun to say) was ggod fun and good food but be prepared, this is not light fair. We had the bacon, ribs, chicken as well as the garlic bread and rice. Yum! Very good but heavy on the smoke. The accompanying asia-inspired sauces are just right for offsetting that smoke and give a nice touch of spice. I really liked the idea of, and the actual, amuse bouche, a small cup of well-flavoed broth. My 15 year-old son loved the food and the vibe. We will go again, for sure, and try the apple salad and double up on our order of ribs!"

"We had a great time and great eats last Saturday. No trouble seating us as we entered even with a few stragglers which is great for New York. I hate having to wait, standing by the door, when our table was reserved and is there waiting, and we are simply lurking around waiting for someone whose train is running late. These guys let me sit for a good 10 minutes before the rest of my people showed up. I had a glass of tea and menus on the table when they arived. Lovely! The staff was wonderful, and they didn't seem to want us to rush out. They kept filling up our water glasses until we walked out the door. The food was yummy. Everyone seemed to enjoy our time at Fatty Cue and are now excited about coming again with others in tow."

"It's all about the food. Such interesting flavors, subtle but not really. I just thought the food was smart and inventive and simple. Geat portions to share. I'm woefully tired of the hipster I used to be but at least the ones they have here are nice and accommodating. The dollar oysters should be available to all, please."

"We normally gravitate towards more simple steak and potatoes type cuisine so it was a stretch going here as a result of a Google Offers deal. But I enjoyed the experience quite a bit. My partner is more picky and was not quite as enthusiastic. Overall it was good and would recommend it to others."

"The food was well done and everything was prepared to share. The menu was varied and really interesting. We went with a group of seven and had at least one of everything on the menu. Particular favorites were the pork belly, duck, short rib, fermented sausage. Really everything was good. The service was friendly, attentive, helpful and suggested ways for us to better experience the dinner as a group. Only drawback was a less than friendly bar staff."

"DELICIOUS food. Thoroughly satisfied. My date, who grew up with lots of Asian cuisine, said she noticed fish oil in most of the dishes and it was distinct enough to say something about it. I didn't notice.
This place has a sister, Fatty Crab, which was also delicious. I ate there in the fall."

"The food was very good. We had a reservation for 3 and we were seated at a small table for 2, which is not cool, especially when you share plates. The waiter was very good and the meal was served at a good pace, except for the main course that took too long to arrive."

"We ordered 4 items from the menu, pig ear salad, lamb ribs, mussels, and brisket. Drinks were fine, nothing special and somewhat small. Pig ear salad was alright, wouldn't get it again. The waiter described the pig ears as "like jerky, only better." That was not the case. The lamb ribs were good but the larger ribs were a 70/30 fat to meat ratio. The smaller ones were crispy, chewy, delicious. Mussels and brisket dishes were shockingly bland. Brisket portion not worth $26. Food also took a very long time to come out. Disappointing experience."

"Fatty Cue, is certainly one our favorite restaurants. We've eaten at both locations and then service hasn't been anything short of amazing. The ribs are a must have as well as the grilled bacon. If your into cocktails the smokin' bone which is one of their signature cocktails will certainly put sweat underneath your collar. All and all its a wonderful atmosphere, its hip, the service is great and most of all the food is delicious, the menu is constantly changing. Love it"

"The food was good and tasty. Except the brisket was very very fatty (lives up to the name of the restaurant!). And the sundae was disappointing, it was mashed up cake with cream. We would like to go back and try the other items in the menu- perhaps we'll be lucky next time."

"Food okay, drink menu so limited and heavily marked up as not to be believed, but the real problems are the noise and the poor service. We ordered four dishes: fermented eggplant with chicken, pork ribs, lamb ribs, and pappardelle with a lamb ragu. All we're very nicely handled, particularly the pasta--though how anyone could think it's okay to charge about $25 for roughly six pieces of papardelle is beyond me. All of this was brought out at the same pace and with the same sense of timing shown at, say, Excellent Dumpling House. We were in and out in under an hour. Never going back."

"I love Isaan style and Malaysian food, and I especially enjoy the food at the Brooklyn Fatty Cue. This was my second visit to the West Village spot. The duck laab, while still good was not nearly as spicy as the first time, and I prefer it spicier. The pork ribs I enjoyed, as well as the collards, except that they really needed some acid, such as vinegar, to make them complete. Overall, a good dining experience."
