"Fabulous steak and seafood. the lump crab was to die for both with shrimp or in the stuffed mushrooms. Lo Ed the famous coconut creme pie-- the very best ever. Our zyork ish waiter was absolutel a 10 and served us with perfect chs and timing. This is up on my faves."

"Our annual get together at our very special spot. They never dissapoint! Unfortunately we do not live close enough to make this a "regular" stop, our loss. We have been going there for over 10 years and each time it feels like yesterday. Our gang looks forward to this night and especially this restaurant. Atmosphere, food, service and great value make this in our collective minds 5 star in every way. Thanks for a wonderful evening."

"Everything was great. Starting with our server Sherry who was very attentive and helpful in describing the different types of steak choices. My wife had the escargot and loved it. She said it was the best she ever had. I had the calamari and it was not only very tasty but very tender. Our salads were fresh, crisp and delicious. When our steaks came I said how am I ever going to eat all that (but I did). The steaks were cooked perfectly as ordered and delicious.
I recommend the Okeechobee Steakhouse to anyone."

"We had a 5:30 reveration. We made it that ealy because we had show tickets and wanted to take advanage of the smaller portions on the early bird menu. We were disapoined when our very professional waiter told us it wad changed from 6PM to you must order by 5:30.
Other people would have made a stink but we wanted to have a nice night so we ordered off the regular menu and took food home.
A more acomading resturant would have honored the early bird at 5:30

"The restaurant was very nice and the waitress was attentive. Two of our party had the strip steaks and while they were good, they were nothing special. Could be the cut of meat, not sure, but I would not order that again. The other 2 in the party had the prime rib. They could have been more tender but still were tasty.
I was surprised that the sides they offered with the meal did not include steamed vegetables. We had to order spinach and garlic on the side."

"We dined with four in our group. After much discussion on how we wanted our steaks cooked, 3 out of four of them were done incorrectly. All overlcooked.. The waiter did not come back to check after the busser served our food, conviently disappeared. So instead of waiting, we decided to keep it, since the waiter was missing in action. at end of meal, waiter returned, we told him that our steaks were not cooked properly, and he smiled and us and obviously didnt care. no apology, just didn't care. Will not be returning!"

"I booked my reservation a little late in the evening and I was accommodated immediately upon arrival. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was very attentive. We had very little wait in between our appetizers, salad and dinner. The food was cooked to perfection. My overall experience was fabulous and highly recommend both OpenTable and Okeechobee Steakhouse"

"We have been going to this restaurant for years when we come down to FL on vacation. This is one of our favorate steakhouses to eat at. Their prime rib is out of this world as are any of their steaks. They now take reservations, which is a big plus. We will definately be back next year!"

"got a good vibe when i walked in, liked the decor and atmosphere, but it was pretty much downhill from there. we had to listen to the waiter brag about their "angus" steaks for a few minutes, but when they came out, the meat was average at best. my new york strip came out "medium well" when i had ordered it medium "rare". the service was a bit over the top, bordering on annoying. i will not be going back."

"We went to Okeechobee Steakhouse for my birthday, and we received a $25 credit toward my menu item. The place is pricey, so we would not have gone had it not been for the free dinner.
The steaks are good, but not as good as Ruth's Chris, which is about the same price. The ambiance is nice, and it's much quieter than most restaurants, but it's not as intimate or romantic.
Our waiter had been there for a very long time, and was very nice, but there were a couple of mistakes made on the order, although they weren't a big deal. I received a mushroom risotto instead of a pesto risotto, and we received mushrooms instead of creamed spinach. Guess we were supposed to fill up on fungus...LOL. It was all very good, and was very enjoyable."

"The food and wait staff were great. Unfortunately a very large party was already seated when we arrived and it was extremely noisy. Even though we were told the kitchen was set to handle the crowd our main course took forever to arrive. They couldn't even handle to large crowd since some had to request their main course to go since the food was taking so long to arrive. We waited a full half hour plus after our salad plates were removed before our main course arrived. The food was delicious and our steaks were exactly as ordered."
