"We had a very nice dinner, food was great and service was very good. However, we felt really rushed, with their delivering our meal while we were enjoying our salad. Our booth was on the samll side for 4 people so there wasn't room to put the meal down without our surrending our salad. Our prime rib was wonderful."

"Spent our 38th wedding anniversary here. The service was excellent (Thanks Dave!) and the ambiance was just what I was looking for. The food was just short of excellent but most places wouldn't have come that close. All in all a wonderful evening and I would not hesitate to return."

"Had a very short wait , we were seated next to the bar but it was not too noisy or crowded. Received appetizer quickly and the food came at just the right time. For the desert the s'mores were great nice touch like being outdoors. Would recommend Frankie Bones without hesitation, we used to live around Chicago so were are use to great food. This restaurant would fit in great there."

"We were a little disappointed to be seated in The Boardroom part of the restaurant; didn't get the atmosphere as being seated in the regular part. Food was excellent!!"

"We always try to dine at Frankie Bones at least once during our twice a year visits to Hilton Head. Had a great meal there last week. Ambiance is very 50's steak house. Servers are always very friendly, professional and attentive. The menu has lots of alternatives and everything we've ever ordered has been very good or excellent. This time, I had the special rib eye which was delicious, the crab cake on the side was super, and my husband's veal parmesan was excellent. They have some huge over-the-top desserts, but we were too full to try them so we shared some spumoni for dessert... even the ice cream was great!"

"Great food including steaks and seafood in our party. Excellent table side service by Karr. Bocce ball drink was not appreciated but Politician martini was excellent.
Only issue was that we had a reservation and arrived 15 minutes late as got lost. Tried to call restaurant but line was busy. Initial woman who met us at the entrance basically scolded our group for being late which was not necessary however we were early enough in the evening to get right in."

Caliber of the food - mediocre, at best. The best item on my plate was the grilled ear of corn. The shrimp and scallops were nondescript, the rice/sausage combo did nothing to incite my taste buds. Of course the plate was already cool when brought to the table. My dining partner, who ordered chicken parmigiana, described the meal as "the kitchen doesn't care, or take pride in," its product.
Service was okay and friendly.
Our conclusion: go for and enjoy some fine, fairly priced wine, but elsewhere to dine."

"We have been there a number of times before. As usual the service was great and food items from the basic menus were good, I should say, consistent. But as usual, and unfortunately, the fish specials disappointed. They were dry, over cooked and generally uninteresting in both taste and presentation. We try to venture from the ordinary but always seeing to be disappointed. The service does sometimes compensate for the lack of effort in the kitchen on what are supposed to be "specials". Why don't they just stick to the basics since there is really nothing special about the "specials". We like the place so, we'll keep trying. However lot of great places are cropping up on the Island so, our days as "regulars" are being tested."

"We go to Hilton Head regularly and this was our first time at Frankie Bones. We were very pleased with both the food and the service. For a Thursday night during a quieter week in Hilton Head, this restaurant was full with local people enjoying a night out. We will dine there again when we return to HHI!"

"Frankie Bones is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek but affectionate tribute to old-school stylish dining. Nice interior and fun atmosphere without being at all stuffy. We had the lobster mac and cheese, which was rich and flavorful, and the Savannah Sole, which was also very good. Steak also appears to be a specialty, but some of the best selections only come with a coffee rub to which some beef purists might object. The wine list has many of the standards but also some interesting picks -- we hadn't had the Justin Chardonnay before. Service was friendly and professional. None of the up-selling that can be found in other restaurants around the island. Recommended -- we will be back!"

"The food is wonderful, they make a very good creme brulee. I have eaten here several years ago and forgot that they are know for the s'mores you can cook at the table. I realized it the next day, would have ordered that instead, it is super fun especially if you have kids or you don't get the opportunity to make s'mores at home often."

"We especially enjoyed the early dining option during our recent visit. The curry lentil soup was very tasty and the salmon was a generous portion and also deliciously seasoned. The steak and prime rib-eaters at our table were not disappointed. When I mentioned going to Five Guys for hamburgers one night we were at HH, our daughter said if I'm only going to eat red meat once this week it has to be Frankie Bones! But the funnest part of the meal had to be dessert for the kids...S'mores they fixed right at the table! Frankie Bones is now the grandkids' favorite place because of that dessert option. Frankie Bones is currently at the top of our list for dining out on our visits to Hilton Head."

"The martinis were ample and great, the dinner booths were a nice size, no feeling of being crowded. All four dinners were excellent, loved the specialty 'lobster mac and cheese'. Other couple had tile fish and wahoo fish, both said they would do it again. Had cheesecake dessert for the table, really good. Always like coming back as always have good food and a good time."

"We have eaten at Frankie Bones for years while in Hilton Head. We have always been pleased with the food, however, this year it was so so. I had the pork tenderloin which was overcooked and had very little flavor which may explain why it was heavily sauced. My husband had the pork schnitzel which didn't have much flavor. We both only ate half of our meals and took home the rest home but decided the next day that neither meal was worth reheating and eating again."

"We I made reservations through open tables for 7pm on a Monday, what's the point of having a reservation if you have to wait 30 mins for a table. Lack of organization. The food was pretty good but not great, the decorations and ambiance of restaurant is great. The service not so great my son spilled water and we asked for napkins and/or dry rag and it took the waitress 15 mins to get back to us with one napkin... Food from1 to 5 rating I would give it a 3.5 ;service that I had 2 ; decorate part 4.5..
