Recently awarded best ‘Chips and Salsa’ in Ciudad magazine and as ‘one of the best places to taste tequila’ in Los Angeles by Sunset magazine. Malo is the Silver Lake home to over 150 different tequilas; all of them 100% blue agave; add our fresh sweet and sour made daily in house for a margarita or hit one of our fresh fruit puree margaritas made in house. Malo is a Los Angeles favorite for not only the margaritas and mojitos in the bar, but also the food.

"Food was pretty good and the service was fantastic--at the table next to us. The server spent most of her time chatting up her friend that was sitting at the table next to us and basically ignored our table. I'm not really expecting amazing service from a place like this, but this was bad on a whole new level. We'll likely go back again, because chances are that this person will not be hanging on to this job for very long."

"The food was decent but the brunch menu is very limited and they would not allow any special orders or substitutions. The place was nearly empty and the wait staff was slow and rude. I left hungry since he only served half our table."

"I've been here for happy hour and dinner a few times. I must say that I was sadly disappointed this time. We had early dinner reservations at 7 and arrived five minute early. We were seated right away and then waited 15 minutes before our waitress decided to stop on and by just to let us know she'd be with us in a minute. It was actually another 10 minutes before she made it back. The place was barely full with a handful of tables occupied inside and on the patio."

"Unfortunately, I can't recommend for big groups on a weekend night.
With reservation, our table of 13 waited an additional 30 minutes. Then food didn't come out at the same time. Hostess and Servers were pleasant and tried hard, but very overwhelmed. Food was room temp when arrived."

I was looking forward to the beef and pickle tacos but they were sold out.
They apparently make them at their downtown location and that night they did not received them.
The gorgeous Jen makes at the Malo Bar the best margaritas in town, a little spicy a little cucumbery, just perfect!
Cant's wait to come back and try to order those beef pickle tacos everyone is talking about =("
