"I really enjoyed our dinner at the newly remodeled Hunt Club Steakhouse. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and the service was really good. My only complaint, and we all share the same feeling, is that the noise level is somewhat intense. We sat in the room with all the windows and had to talk in a fairly loud voice to be heard across the table. I think it's more about the acoustics in the room than other people talking very loudly. Nonetheless, a good food experience and also very loud dinner conversation."

"Very pricey--$47 NY Strip for example. No special flavoring to meat. Don't order "Manhattan cut"--it's a 3" tall, 3" wide NY Strip cut like a filet--very difficult to cook properly. My "medium" was well done on the outside, nearly raw on the inside. Rest of meal, including a salmon entre were quite good. Restaurant has a layout problem--all the tables with a nice view are in the noisy bar area."

"I will not dine here again because of the noise level. It was so loud you could not carry on a normal conversation. This is not the environment I want when entertaining house quests."

"A little pricey for what you get. I could dine anywhere in town and receive the same quality food for a fraction of price. Made reservation on Open Table with a special request for my son's birthday request was never acknowledged nor presented. Ended up going elsewhere for dessert. Dont ask for special requests if you are not going to read them."

"Me and my wife said the same thing about our dishes. the steak and the salmon. Cooked ok but no flavor at all. For the high price of the food it should be flavored and the side dishes were very small portions. Not a bad dinner but not that great either."

"Steak was $48 and the quality was poor. What you would expect to buy in a grocery store, NOT pay $48 for at a steakhouse. For the restaurant being very not busy, the service was very slow. Much better menu than the old Hunt Club, but food quality has a long way to go if they want to charge those prices."

"Being a long time Hunt Club diner, I think the new decor, tables, etc are great/ Wine list very good, just a little pricey for weekly dining. Same for the menu. While my $48.00 poterhouse was good, it was not great. Service was good at the table, but the server was over trained or over encouraged to up-sell side dishes, appetizers, & desserts. At the bar server was very good, enthusiastic & knowledgeable. We will be back after the breaking in period is over. We did like it over previous Hunt Club experiences."

"They just opened April 19th so there are a few kinks to work out. Shrimp served without cocktail sauce (as promised), martini brought with a twist instead of blue cheese olives (as ordered). Menu descriptions were clever and fun to read. However, when I ordered the small plate of Taste of Italy (tomatoes, basil, balsamic and crouton), out came bruschetta. Just say so.
Remodeling is warm and welcoming as was the hostess Kerry. We will try again because the Hunt Club has always been our favorite spot. We want it to be again."

"I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. However I have a couple of observations. They listed a daily vegetarian special on the menu. It was pasta. Really? You can't be any more creative than that? The other observation is that this restaurant is in a really cool old house. There is so much more that could be done with the ambiance. The restaurant and bar were pretty much dead on a Saturday night. I am guessing more people would come if the bar was spiced up a bit and the room was cozier. Overall, we enjoyed the food very much, the service was excellent, but it wasn't really the romantic dining experience we were looking for."
