"Plenty of outdoor seating in the middle of Denver's night life district. But that's just the start. The food was outstanding - all 4 courses -- house meatballs and sauce (with the bread, simply divine), salad caprese, the Salmon special and the Shrimp & Scallop entrees, and the canneloni -- all were excellent. The service was great; our waiter was very knowledgeable, his recommendations were spot on, and he was very engaging. The manager stopped by several times. We will return next week."

"Disappointing experience. We had made a reservation on Open Table and the time slot we wanted said it was unavailable so we took a later slot. We did call the restaurant since we were in the area earlier and they said they could accommodate us, so we arrived and the entire inside of the restaurant was empty - no one. The outside patio also was only half full. We ordered prosecco and they were sold out. Our son ordered a beer on the menu and they had one left. Several items on the menu were also sold out and we were there at 4 p.m. Food was only fair- shrimp linguini, Caesar salad with shrimp (blah), roasted artichoke, squash ravioli (oil was overpowering) and the goat cheese gluten free pasta. Sauce on goat cheese pasta was good."

"I was trying to find a new local spot for a good date night dinner with my girlfriend. This hit the spot! We went on a Tuesday, so the crowds were non-existent. We were one of two groups dining in the cafe. Despite the slow look of the place, the wait staff was fantastic and the food really took it up quite a few levels.
Service was great, food looked and tasted delicious, and it felt intimate, without the stuffiness.
Great find!"

"Walked in and was immediately welcomed and directed to our tables. Waiter was excellent and helpful. Orders were taken with questions answered. Appetizers were awesome. All orders were delivered within minutes of each other so we could eat together and enjoy. Everyone seemed pleased with their food.
Waiter made sure everyone had enough to drink and eat and when we left, we were thanked for coming. Felt like the place I used to go when I lived in the midwest. Will definitely go back again."

"We ate at Cafe Colore during 5280 Week and had a wonderful meal. The attentiveness of our server and the owner (who stopped by more than once) helped to make our experience even more memorable. As diners know, a restaurant's food can be very good, but it is how you are treated which really makes you want to return. The owner has rebuilt the patio so we plan to dine there again when the weather is warm. We sat by the window and watched the activity of Larimer's Square and Writer's Square...fun and lively, even on a Sunday evening. We recommend it!"

"I wasn't impressed. Our food service person seems very stressed. It was busy because of 5280. This said; you could feel the stress and pressure. I don't think it's good to be able to feel this. It makes for a less than good experience. I thought the food was average at best. Sorry, but I did. I felt like I could cook a better egg noodle and meatball. It also seemed cheaper to go off the regular menu than the 5280 menu. I don't think it was good that all their kegs were out so I couldn't get a regular beer. I didn't feel the place was very nice overall. Just not one I would personally recomend."

"We dined here for the first time on Valentines Day. We were enticed by their many vegetarian options, and as I had hoped, we were permitted to order from the full menu despite their special Prix Fixe menu. The manager also gave us a much better seat than the one that was waiting for us (right next to the front door).
The food was spectacular. Honestly the best ravioli I have ever had, the brown sugar made them so delicious. The server was also spectacular, we couldn't have had a better meal."

"Restaurants have a tough gig. They have to get it right 100% of the time or they will hear about it. We have been to Cafe Calore many times and they have always gotten it right for us. We are greeted, seated, made aware of specials, they answer our ridiculous questions, the owner or manager always stops by to see if everything is ok, the wait staff is always courteous, friendly, and available. The food is always great, portions are good, value is good.....a woman seated next to us who was an obvious regular commented on her lasagna being over cooked and the owner made it right. Love the place."
