"This is not your typical pile it high, serve it quick, throw them out, US restaurant. It strives to be more of a dining experience and in some respects it succeeds, but in others, there is room for improvement. The prices will keep out some of the less discerning diners which is to be commended and, as a Brit, I do appreciate restaurants in US where linen is used in tandem with real cutlery! But the finishing touches are missing . Side plates at set table suggested that pre meal bread or similar may be forthcoming. It wasn't, so why the plates? Table cloth had holes in it and decor, carpet especially, needs upgrade. Biggest crime, removing my plate while wife still eating! Incorrect etiquette! Good food and service though means may return!"

"We went on Mother's day and they had a set four course meal. Each course was just right. I had the Crab Cakes for an appetizer and they were a tasty treat with just a hint of spiciness. For the main course I had the Scallops and Prawn. Its difficult to perfectly cook scallops. These were light, tender and juicy. Perfect. The service was wonderful. I never felt like someone was standing watch over me, but someone was always there when I wanted anything. It was classy but not stuffy. We really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere."

"I wanted to let you know what happened at my Dinner with my Wife last night to celebrate Mother's Day. We had a serious Dinner issue. The Waiter suggested a Chef's special of Filet and Crab. I ordered this menu and I clearly told the Waiter I do not want ANY spices as I am unable to handle spices. The Waiter brought the Filet, which was WELL done, and had PEPPER. I returned the Filet. The Chef brought the Filet again. I asked the Waiter if the Filet had ANY spices and the Waiter said NO. I ate the Filet but there was a SPICY taste. I asked the Waiter to ask the Chef to check and the Waiter told me there was PEPPER on the Filet, which made me VERY shocked and disappointed that a SIMPLE demand of NO spices was IMPOSSIBLE to satisfy.
Jeff"

"Certainly one of the most memorable dinners I've ever had. The setting is intimate and quiet. The food is exceptional - all members of my party thought agreed. Very professional, knowledgeable and attentive staff."

"Yes, the food is somewhat expensive. The entrees range from $25-$35, salads being between $6-$12, and appetizers running right around $10. That being said, you're probably not going to find a better meal for much less around here. Dinner for two, with salads, an appetizer, and dessert was $91."

"I throughly enjoy myself every time I go to the Main Street Grill. Great place for either business lunches our out of town guests. Highly recommend it. the wait staff is superior and the food is fantastic. My only complaint is they can not have Hatch green chili soup more often...it is amazing!"

"Nice place with a good menu. Food ( pork chop) could have been prepared better in terms of having a jucier piece of meat cooked medium as recommended....hostess was outstanding"

"We have done these reviews before and always have a good experience. Needless to say, the whole situation was marred this time by a totally false report to the Open Table service that we had not shown up and had not canceled our reservation. We were there on time, and had a credit card receipt to prove we were there. We then had to take our time to justify ourselves. This calls into question the whole process of making reservations this way. We did not appreciate being reprimanded for something we had not done and then having to take time to clear it up. We do appreciate that the record was set straight; but the whole thing should not have happened. This is why we rated the overall experience as less than it usually is."

"People were friendly and nice atmosphere, however, the food was marginal when it came to their entrees. My lamb chops were tough and very grisly...could not even chew. Asparagus and wine were good."

"Very Impressed. i come from NYC where restaurants are based on there service, wine list and quality of food everything was top notch and I have recommended it to everyone I come across. It is a great place for a date a special occasion a business dinner or just asking family out. the dress code is good a business dress/ casual. the staff is very knowledgeable about all there selections ad they go the extra mile to make the guests feel at home and me the EXPERIENCE a memorable one. To me this is the best restaurant I have eaten at in Texas. Its located in historic round rock on a strip that's decorated with lights in the trees. I will be back in the future. TRY it for yourself you will be 100% satisfied when you leave."

"I ordered the stuff pork chop and when I cut into it, it was not fully cooked. So, I had to send it back. Of course when I received my dinner back, it was extremely dry. And it was not stuffed at all. A thin paper layer of spinach was barely visible not to mention could not even taste it. My husband and I have heard so many wonderful things about their food, but I disagree. Don't need to go back there again."

"Best ambiance in Round Rock! Try the shrimp diablo and, if they have it, the chocolate torte with sweetened marscapone and blackberry sauce. Enjoy a relaxing evening, treat a guest to the best in town, fall-in love (for the first time, or all over again).
Thank you!"

"Both our dishes were too salty and my filet was overlooked and the polented was chewy and dense. This made the prices unreasonable for the quality of food. To top it all off, they would not take either the Visa or AE gift cards we had received for Christmas for the very purpose of taking a nice kid-less night out, so we had to pay with our credit card and still have two gift cards to use!"

"We had a great time. First time we actually got to sit in the vault which was built in the 1920's. We were dining with some clients so it was the perfect place to discuss business plans. Our clients are from out of state and they really enjoyed the evening."

"Waiter forgot one of our order, did not check on us during the meal, and incorrectly charged us for our meal and another table's. There are better restaraunts for the price you pay."

"Main Street is great to have in our community where there aren't really many like yours around without having to drive into Austin. Valentine dinner left a little to be desired though. Dessert fell short and for the price I believe it could have been better. We will return but never for Valentines."

"I would never expect such a great meal in a small, very old, downtown Round Rock building. I had trouble finding the place even though I parked right next to it. The old brick building in a small downtown area just screams chicken fried steak and burgers. The food is anything but that. I started with a fantastic crab cake covered with a jalapeno remoulade and corn and blackbean salsa. Everything had a unique Southwesten twist to it that was fantastic. It was a bit of fusion between Southwestern and Creole which makes perfect sense near Austin, TX. The lunch menu was perfect for lunch with lots of sandwiches and salads. I can't wait to get back to Round Rock so I can try out the dinner menu!"

"This was a special occasion for our group of four. We were accommodated in the 'vault'. This restaurant is in an historic bank building in Round Rock. The room was open to the restaurant so did not feel claustrophobic, but was very private and outside sounds were muted. The attention of the hostess and servers was perfect. It was the first-time visit for my three guests (two from Austin), and they all felt the food was outstanding."
