"Some items were better than others, but the range was not bad (tuna with avocado) to very tasty (seafood salad) so overall a good experience. Not inexpensive but we enjoyed it."

"While I would admit to not having dined in many Japanese restaurants, this one is one that I'd go back to in a heartbeat. Their signature roll (Shibuya) was the best ever. Service was prompt and friendly. It was difficult to choose a limited number of items to not overfill our table and each dish we selected was amazing. We opted to share one entrée and chose three appetizers to try and allow our taste experience to be as wide as possible. It was worth it. Well done!"

"What an amazing restaurant tucked away in MGM Grand! This restaurant did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised by how much nicer the ambiance was, over the web site, which does not do it justice! I can't say enough good things about the service and the food. And, I'd highlighted in our reservation that we were celebrating my husband's birthday, and they made it very special!"

"A group of us went to Shibuya to celebrate a birthday. Our corner table was great; the decor is stunning; the sushi and desserts delicious; and the service impeccable! Request the chef's "tasting menu." It is a BARGAIN and the multi-course offerings will fill you up with all sorts of deliciousness. The vegetarian tasting menu, for example, has a 3-seaweed appetizer which I will continue to crave until my next trip to this Vegas gem."

"Shibuya was a great experience. The sushi was fantastic and the service was attentive. Fantastic wine and saki list. Great atmosphere. I don't normally write these kind of reviews but I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like good sushi at reasonable prices."

"Theme is Asian fusion with share plates which is a great way to eat for our group of six. The sushi was excellent albeit expensive. We brought our own wines and corkage was steep at $35. But the waitress was lovely once she got into the swing of our table. There were short ribs, chicken and tenderloin for those at our table that are less adventuresome. Definitely recommend particularly with a group of adventuresome eaters."

"This restaurant inside MGM is fantastic! Our sever, Charle, was absolutely exceptional! His recommendations were spot on, especially the Iberico Pork. The foie gras and wagyu gyoza, such a good unique flavor. Sushi was good, rolls were good. Just overall an exceptional experience before our show."

"We had the 8 course chefs menu with the daily sake flight. It was probably one of the most memorable sushi meals I have ever had. The Scallop/lobster main course with uni butter was amazing. Can't rave enought about the overall dining experience."

"Located right in the MGM Grand, Shibuya is conveniently located and great for upscale Japanese. Offering both hot and cold selections, the food was fantastic and innovative. The sushi was fresh and the non-sushi items were delicious. The ambience is hip and energetic. Service was pretty good. A fantastic choice overall."

"A great night out if you don't mind the price. Fish was very fresh. Warm shared plates were great with the exception of the sauce on the softshell crab which had too much vinegar in it. As with most Vegas restaurants be careful of the upsell - waiters will always try to refer you to a wine, beer or sushi choice that is in the high end. Also - the plates are not big. It's def a food experience kind of night."

"The sashimi quality and presentation were great. Service was courteous but hurried that night, probably because of a major event at MGM that was just letting out. Prices are high."

"My friend and i ate or rather tasted their food. We ordered the 10 course menu, $130 per person. It all tasted good. However, even though this is Vegas please for $130 allow us not be hungry. Having to order rolls at an average of $15 that I could have made look more appetizing than their Poor presentation. They looked and tasted like grocery store rolls. Rather than from an expensive sushi place.
Service was very good, however waiter should not have recommended the tasting menu without being very explicit about portion size. He stated that it even includes dessert leading us to believe this to be a well rounded meal.
I know there is a lot of smoke and mirrors in Vegas but for Pete's sake don't try and pull a fast one on your guests"

"This was my second visit to Shibuya in two months. Once for a romantic dinner, the other with a friend before a show. They have a very nice tasting menu well worth a try for anyone interested in something other than sushi. The extensive Saki list was impressive, and the staff was helpful in the selection process. It was very nice to get a card with the sakes details so we could try and locate it again in the future. My second visit wasn't as thrilling, forgotten soup which came cold and over salted appetizers still didn't totally ruin my experience-sushi still was good and very fresh. Shibuya has a nice atmosphere if anyone can get past the young and inexperienced hostesses-they need retraining!"

"I was very happy with the choice of Shibuya, the staff was amazing, we did not lift a finger and we were waited on like we owned the place. Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the wine and beer list and his recommendations about the menu was spot on. I would highly recommend the Miso Crusted Black Cod, it was the best I have ever had. I will be back next year and I have already made my reservation. Do not miss this amazing restaurant!"

"This was good. I'm not an adventurous sushi eater but a couple of the people in my party are, and they loved it! I will say, it took FOREVER for the sushi rolls to be made. Big lag time between ordering and food being delivered. Not the most amazing service but it certainly wasn't anything to complain about. Once the food was delivered, the server kind of disappeared. But, I would recommend. With so many restaurants in Vegas to choose from, I'm glad I tried it but it wasn't so amazing that I want to be sure to eat there again."

"This is a place is over the top for no reason at all. There are other great seafood/sushi places in Vegas with better food and not as expensive. We knew what the prices were that wasn't the shock. But the appetizer size (at best) main courses were. And the food was just OK, nothing special. Go somewhere else if you want good seafood/sushi."

"We were recommended this place by friends who 1st came 2 years ago, but felt that after eating there were better Japanese restaurants around. Once upon a time i am sure this restaurant was one of the best, but they have failed to evolve and improve."

"Nice decor. Very modern. I found the ambiance lacking because it was extremely cold due to a draft. Also, it was very loud in the restaurant which made conversing difficult. I found the sushi to be pretty good, about average. I've had better sushi and also worst sushi. The prices were a bit high but that is expected in a Las Vegas resort/casino."

"Disappointed since my last visit. Quality of the food has gone down. Rock shrimp tempura was not good at all. Sashimi portions were very skimpy and sushi rolls had way too much rice. For these prices the quality should be much betterI won't go back"

"No wait to be seated with reservations. Drinks came fast, about a 3 out of 5 drinks rating. Recommend a booth. Food was very good. Sashimi was very good, great quality fish. Wife had steak, said it was very good. Slightly pricy. $232.00 for 2, with 2 drinks each and 20% gratuity. Left full and satisfied. Went to KA afterwards, great night."

"Returned here after an amazing first experience ~2 years ago. Lless than impressed this time. Server was having a hard time listening to our order.. example I ordered a sudachi and soda with 2 limes, my fiancé ordered an iichiko on the rocks. My drink arrived without limes and he was brought a beer called ichigo.. the names are similar but who orders a beer on the rocks? Same thing happened with the mackerel sashimi we ordered.. server heard mackerel but had to come back and ask if we wanted nigiri or sashimi because he stopped listening again. Was also much less impressed with the food this time. Last time the shibuya roll we had was amazing, this time it was mediocre. Fish quality was excellent, but rice was not good. Hot plates a+"
