"I am a chef and I would say that Pane is the top restaurant in the area. I have never had anything there that wasn't good! Dinner is a little pricey but you gotta throw down if you want the best. Lunch is cheaper and you definitely won't find a better lunch in town."

"Excellent food and service. I had to make several changes to my reservation and they were really great about it. Food was all flavorful and contained a variety of ingredients that worked well together. The decor lent itself to both a relaxing but fun atmosphere. My only complaint is that bright parking lot lights beam directly into the front part of the dining room from both the street light and cars. My husband had lights in his eyes during much of the meal. I will definitely request seating farther in if dining there at night again."

"We are new to Tampa and have been exploring restaurants in Tampa. Several friends recommended Pane Rustica. They were right on. The service and food were excellent. Our server Stacy was knowledgeable, helpful and loves working there. She was attentive, but not invasive. Our appetizers and dinner were absolutely delicious. We were not disappointed and we WILL be back and pass on our experience to our friends and family. Five stars!"

"Pane Rustica is one of the very best restaurants in Tampa! The attention paid to the flavor profiles and preparation of the dishes is superb. I normally go for lunch but visited for dinner with an out of town guest last week. I'm still obsessing over the meal I had and have plans to make the hour drive tomorrow to go back for lunch. We had a butternut squash ravioli & fig appetizer (rich & divine), two seafood pasta dishes (pasta cooked perfectly al dente), and 3 fabulous gelatos for dessert (sea salt caramel, strawberry & hazelnut). The flat breads are a must as well, but reserve them for a lunch visit.
The dining room in the evening is somewhat dark and loud. Service is friendly and attentive."

"The meal started off great (the starters were great - the waiter was attentive.) Once the entrees were served, the waiter went MIA for the duration of the meal until it was time for the check. Also, the noise level was overwhelming. The scallops that I had looked a little underdone. We ordered some gelato and one of my dining companions got the wrong flavor (not a big deal). If he had wanted to complain there was no one around to listen that worked there."

"Awesome restaurant! Fabulous, gracious service, very accommodating. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, but did not pester us by frequently stopping by to ask how things were. Definitely well-trained. We had crab cakes appetizer, jumbo seared scallops, and the halibut special, followed by the espresso chocolate sundae with ice cream. Each was fantastic. "A wonderful dining experiene. Ordered filet mignon medium rare and it was not only cooked perfectly, but the meat was nicely warm, and the sauce and side perfect with it. That, and a delicious glass of cabernet, and it was one the most divine meals ever. Atmosphere is fantastic (it feels like a cross between Napa Valley and Tuscany). Given the look of the building on the outside, you do feel transported to a different world!"

"We've been twice for date night and have really enjoyed it. It has a warm, cozy ambiance and an interesting menu. "The food was AMAZING! Wonderfully creative menu. Had been there for lunch (always ordered the "shut up and eat" and was never disappointed!) but this was my first time eating dinner there. It's truly exceptional. Our server was very good too. Highly recommend!"

"Great food as usual. This continues to be one of my very favorite restaurants in Tampa. Best scallops on the planet! Only downside is the noise level. If you can, sit on the bar side, which is actually quieter than the restaurant."

"The food was fantastic, however we recieved poor service once we were seated. We were just forgoitten although it appeared to be 3 or 4 servers working the same section-a bit disorganized. With that said all of the talent in the restaurant must lie in the kitchen/back if house. We will give it a second shot maybe."

"We were somewhat put off when we arrived for our reserved table and we were seated at the front of the restaurant near the open front door. We asked to be moved and the three hostesses were not very pleased with us. They whispered among each other and seated us at a table not far from the first one. The restaurant was less than half full and we could have easily been seated elsewhere. In addition, the lighting is too dark and it makes it difficult to enjoy the meal."

"Perfectly seared scallops, and salmon prepared to perfection! We were tempted to dive into the small plates, but it's obvious by glancing at nearby tables that this is serious food in a casual (but chic) setting. The wine list (Schramsberg sparkling for us) was limited, but covered the necessary territory for everything on the menu. Next time we are in Tampa, Pane Rustica is worthy of a return visit."
