Campanula Kitchen & Bar is a neighborhood restaurant specializing in small plates and classic cocktails. The menu is masterfully executed by Chef Michael Pawlik and his team, so please join us for a few small plates, a full dinner, cocktails or try our "unleaded" section for a refreshing non-alcoholic treat. We also have a wonderful selection of house made desserts prepared by Rebecca Rader.
When you walk through the door you are greeted by a friendly staff and a comfortable dining room with some of the city’s best views of Coit Tower and Washington Square Park.
"I love going here because the menu changes and there's always a few surprises. Inventive food. Difficult to pigeonhole the menu. Sort of Italian meets Californian Mediterranean. Worth patronizing."

"From the scallop appetizer to the 'french toast' dessert, the food was excellent. Don't let the 'french toast' description of that dessert fool you. Think creme brule brioche. Delicious! My rabbit pasta was excellent -- even better the next day for breakfast! Second time here, second time very pleased."

"I was looking for a place to celebrate my boyfriends graduation & we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. The food was incredibly memorable, and we're in the culinary biz, plus it was the best atmosphere. Not pretentious & the food rocked!"

"Thewait staff and host were great! They were knowledgeable and courteous. The burratta was a thing of beauty. I ordered the short rib and it was cooked to perfection. My friend had the chicken and she loved it. For dessert, they gave us a complimentary order of the ice cream sandwiches for my friend's birthday. It was a great experience and I would definitely come back or recommend to fellow diners."

"Service and food was good. Tried the mushroom risoto, kobe burger and the short ribs which were everyones favorite. Place can get a bit loud but that was expected. Liked the corner location with tons of windows so you can watch the world go by. Would go back again."

"Had a nice time at Campanula. The food was delicious, the service and ambiance were good as well. Nice neighborhood spot. Would recommend a reservation on a weekend night. Started with linguica-stuffed olives with the cucumber cooler cocktail. I had the burrata with fig jam and prosciutto on crostini as an appetizer and my wife had the bone marrow. I had the fish of the day, a bass that had been lightly pan fried and served on a carrot puree with baby veggies. Very clean and delicious. My wife had the rabbit sausage with tagliatelle and she enjoyed it. The ice cream sandwiches were a nice finish. Definitely would go back."

"Absolutely delicious roast chicken, perfectly cooked. Beautifully crisp skin, delicious herb seasoning - just the right amount. I consider roast chicken a kind of 'acid test' for restaurants. Appetizer of crab cakes also delicious! A lovely neighborhood gem, small, friendly in a fun part of North Beach. Highy recommended - makes my mouth water just remembering it."

"Delicious food and very friendly staff! The roasted chicken was one of the best I've ever had, the guinea hen sugo was also fantastic-- I can't wait to try out some of the other entrees on the menu.
Also, the Happy Hour prices are amazingly good and even run on weekends. Definitely going back, loved it!"

"What a delighful dinner the 4 of us had. We walked in to a warm welcome, coats and hats taken and seated immediately. The scene was vibrant as a large party was down the center of the restaurant...but it did not effect the service at all. Our waitress was very knowledgable of the menu and had great suggestions. We started with the Burrata and Scallops....yum. Each of us had different dishes, a spicy pasta..forgot the name that was large and wonderful, the half chicken was moist and delicious, mushroom risotto and the spinich gnocci like dish was perfect and filling. The wine suggestion (Hahn) was nice with the dishes we chose and we had a second bottle. Lastly, the brownie with ice cream was a nice finish."

"We went on a sleepy Monday (Inauguration Day and MLK Day) so crowds and noise not a factor. Had made a reservation but didn't need it. Crowd was half diners and half wine bar bunch. Some good appetizers (bone marrow, if you like that kind of thing) and a short ribs entree that was well prepared. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu and obviously accustomed to serving less food obsessed types than us. I would go back."
