"My wife and I went here for our 11th wedding anniversary. The service was fantastic, very attentive. The clam chowder was amazing, highly recommended. I had the special swordfish- really great. My wife had the special fried softshell crab, which was not so good. Overly seasoned (too salty) and a slight fishy taste. She really should have sent it back, but we're both bad about sending back food. For dessert, I had the Cheesecake, which was delicious, and my wife had vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce, which wasn't on the menu but they made it for her because it was our anniversary. So all in all, it's a great restaurant. I'm not sure we would rush back since it is a bit pricy, but might give them another shot if family are in town."

"The restaurant was good. It is not on the water or overlooking the water like I hoped. The ambiance reminded me of a chain restaurant or a buffet. I was a little disappointed in that too. However the food was good- we both had the ribeye- and the service was nice. I would not pay regular price so thankfully we had a living social deal."

"This was my first time at the Grille. I made reservations early, to avoid the Mother's Day rush. I was promptly seated and attended to. The food was not only excellent, but it came in a timely manner. I will recommend the grille to all my family and friends. I can't wait to return. I must add the service was impeccable. I was a little disappointed that only valet parking is validated, inspite of that, my family and I had a wonderful experience."

"Service was great, however, the food was not!! The fish was way overcooked and was sent back. The next one was not much better. The steak was ordered medium-rare and came to the table well done. It was also sent back. It came back medium but was a very bad cut of steak. Only ate a few bites of it."

"The Grille 700 has so much going for it, but left us disappointed. Out first disappointment was the beer selection. With all the great local brews available they are serving low quality mass produced beer and only offer 4 choices. I ordered the mussels but they were not well prepared. The dish was supposed to include bleu cheese but instead I found bits of pork product. Dessert selection was in appealing. With their amazing location, nice ambiance and eager staff the Grille700 should be doing better than it is. Right now it's poor quality and over priced. No wonder the place was empty on Friday night while establishes just down the way were humming."

"If you're in the mood for a buffet, this will probably fit the bill, however there's nothing that stands out to make this better than other brunch buffets. Omelette bar was decent, however they advertised having crab meet, which they didn't have. Most of the buffet breakfast and lunch items were average. I thought the waffle station, fried chicken, biscuits and gravy and desserts were the best items. The Sunday Brunch for $25 also includes mimosas and bloody marries, and coffee OJ and other soft drinks. It's not a bargain, but a decent price for food and drinks."

"Overall we had a nice dinner. The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good it's just the prices were on the high side. The chowder was delicious but the bread was old and stale and the butter was previously melted and then refrigerated with another reused scraping added to the container."

"OK for a quick lunch for conference goers participating in a meeting at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, but not a place for trying to impress clients or for a special evening.
Oddly enough, when I tried to make a lunch reservation for a party of eight, Open Table told me that there would not be an opening for that large a group for six to eight weeks. Yet for the two days I used the restaurant for lunch meetings, it was never more than one-third full."

"I can't wait for an excuse to go back to Grille 700. Two of us split the calamari appetizer (large portions, excellent flavor profile); squash, peanut, and arugula salad (simple and delicious flavors, great mix of textures); smoked pork flat bread (large and packed full of flavor); & the halibut entree with saffron clam sauce and cauliflower risotto (the halibut was cooked perfectly, the saffron sauce was a bit too salty even for this salt lover). We could not finish this huge meal, though we tried. We complemented this with a flight of 4 wines, all excellent recommendations from Greg, our waiter. The service was attentive, communicative, helpful, & even entertaining. The whole staff really worked as a team to make our dinner delightful."

"Pricey. Weird environment - it was a super classy restaurant but there were plenty of people super dressed down - eating with their families.
My boyfriend and I each got the steak, which was fabulous. Still - cooked medium instead of medium rare. The bread had some sweet honey butter which was delicious, and the calamari also rocked. The waiters were weird at times - one spilled water and made a huge production of covering it. It would've been fine if he had given us some space.
Also, even though there were tons of seats open, the staff kept putting more people next to my boyfriend and I. The space is very open, and super quiet, so it was hard to have a private conversation with people so close to us. We could hear their every w"

"View is ok, but they need that restaurant 10 floors up and that would be "a view". The food was good but expensive.Hotel mark ups always make eating in painful, I suppose. They did offer a good kids menu and a child brunch price which was very fair, I thought. The Sunday brunch was very nice, too. A good variety, egg station,waffles, and a nice well rounded menu. I just felt the dinner menu was a bit on the overly pricey side with sides, salads,and drinks all priced high and seperately. The Ribeye was tasty though.No real complaints. Marriot usually treats us well, I have to say."

"Had breakfast on a Sunday morning. Restaurant is beautiful, food was very good. Service was poor. My wife ordered a banana and a cup of yogurt - she was not given a bowl to put it in. I ordered an omelette and toast. The toast came out after i ate nearly half the omelette. I had to ask for a second cup of coffee, with my empty cup sitting on the table."

"My son and I ate at Grille 700 for Easter Brunch and it was great. The crab cakes were "fabulous". There was a nice variety of foods - and not all your ordinary buffet choices. We made it a point to each try something we'd never had before. The attention to every detail was wonderful.Our server was very attentive. "There was an initial problem with my Open Table reservation, as there was no indication regarding time of the special Easter brunch. My reservation was for 10:45. The restaurant called to confirm, and asked if I had wanted the brunch. They informed me that the brunch didn't start until noon, and they had no available reservations. They took my number, and called back within 10 minutes, as the manager accommodated us for a noon seating. We had a lovely brunch, and our only regret was that we couldn't manage to taste everything, due to so many wonderful offerings! We would definitely recommend this brunch to others."

"We had a wonderful Easter Brunch here yesterday. Everyone in my party was impressed with the selections. The only downside was that there was no fruit on the buffet. In the past, the Marriott has had bountiful displays of fresh berries. Yesterday, the only berries were strawberries in the mimosas, or some berries that were in the cheese wheels (which then had the chesse all over them). Service was outstanding, and we never wanted for a drink, or a refill. All-in-all, it was great!"

"The food and service were good. I was not crazy about the ambiance at all. I was thinking more close, intimate dining and not European cafe dining. I found the room very oppressive. The server informed us that hotel management has a new menu in the works and has plans to update/remodel the restaurant fall 2013. We enjoyed our meal so I am interested to see what the new plans will bring for this place. I will go again."
