"I've been here a couple of times for Sunday brunch. The staff and food is always excellent. My party and I arrived on time for our reservation and we were seated in less than 5 minutes. My only complaint was our waitress seems to be overwhelmed, and that's probably because they were very busy for the holiday."

"Go here for the ambiance and first time experience. Once you're there, you will soon find you there's no need coming back again. The salad bar looks great on paper but disappointing in person. The main dishes are not distributed evenly across the restaurant and we barely got 80% of the offerings after we started the main course, while having many repeats coming back again and again. I would come back for the rooftop after work for drinks, but not the restaurant. You are better off going to Fogo de Chao, better salads and tastier meats."

"I chose to have my 30th bday celebration at this resturant due to the fact that they had a rooftop bar and an abundance of food options for all my guest Upon arrival we were greeted by a wonderful host staff. We sat in the bar area and waited for the rest of my guest to arrive. After all 15 of us were ready to be seated we were escorted to a long table and that's were the trouble began. Our server never introduced himself and I had to constantly and repeatedly ask him for things. Also the meats are medium rare to rare. So we had to ask for the meats to come out medium well to well which Jesse one of the chefs made sure we received Besides him the service was horrible and there were not enough staff to accomodate such a busy Saturday night."

"I keep coming back so I'm sure they're doing something right! I love their weekend brunch menu selection. This place is perfect to bring a friend or a group of people, they have something for everyone, no matter what taste buds the individual has. I love their 3$ mimosas (which was the drink special). Our lady server was extremely polite and accommodating. My only slight disappointment was our requesting 3 different chefs for a particular meat which never came out until finally asking our lady server, which was then brought out immediately. I will be back again it's great quality and a great price."

"Great buffet with explanations of where each food is from and the lengthy process that goes into making some of the dishes. Great selection of food, simple dishes but with a exquisite twist. "I was looking for a 3-4 star steakhouse, the king Chicago is well-known for. While Zed451 does not fit the traditional Palm-style mode, it was an excellent dining experience. The restaurant is prix fixe and menu starts with a vast array of tapas like dishes, set in a circle of modern wood, candles and glassed in wine vault. Stand outs were the salmon ceviche...so good...smoked duck, green apple chutney, mixed mushrooms with feta sauce and array of cheeses and charcuterie. The meat course...Fogo De Chao style...has endless visits from chefs and their rotisserie...aged rib eye with caramelized onion, Asian style pork belly, crispy, tender duck, hangar steak with serachi sauce and sushi grade salmon and whitefish. Everything was cut to order."

"My son graduated from high school and our family chose his favorite restaurant to finalize the day's celebration. There was a variety of tasty foods, which is why he loves Zed 45. The ambiance was lovely as usual, we even had seating near the windows. The staff was warm and friendly, greeting us with smiles from our entrance to exit . There was a lot of meat, which the males in our party loved. I would have liked to sample for seafood entrees, seems they ran out of salmon that evening, but the Tilapia was excellent. We truly enjoyed the evening and my son had siles the entire evening. It was the perfect ending to a graduation day."

"This is a wonderful restaurant for people who like food. Service is excellent, with a lengthy wine list. The restaurant is beautiful, with an open fire pit in the middle of the salad buffet. The buffet items are unique and tasty, not at all 'cookie cutter' such as other types of restaurants. The circulating food includes steaks, duck, chicken, fish and sausage. There is something for everyone! No room for dessert."

"What a gorgeous restaurant! Spacious, airy, welcoming and relaxing all at once. We had such a wonderful time! The staff was beyond friendly. They were falling over themselves to make sure you had a great experience. The "Harvest Stations" were delicious and creative. My big surprise was the fish selections. We were served salmon, swordfish and blackened catfish. I thought the fish was delicious and it actually out-shone the beef.

"The salad bar is awesome, however the meat services not so much. I've been there three different times and each time I've been the guys walking around and serving meat are very slow to come by your table.... good thing I like salads. I've pretty much filled up on that instead of waiting for the meats."

"I was referred to Zed451 by a coworker. My experience was wonderful the food was great and nicely presented. Our waiter was awesome this was our first time and he explained to use how everything worked. He was very attentive to our needs but he didn't hover . "Although the concept of the restaurant alone is genius, it was the flawless execution that blew me away. The Harvest Tables were beautifully presented and offered a diverse selection. I was particularly impressed by the watermelon and cauliflower salad, poached peaches with blue cheese and walnuts, and charcuterie. The carving service was spectacular! Every one of the twelve selections was divine, but my personal favorites were the chicken and top round steak. The chefs were friendly and knowledgeable; it was a pleasure to get to know them. This sentiment is true of all of the restaurant staff, from the busboys to the manager we met at the end of our visit. Finally, the decor and ambiance of the restaurant are quite lovely."

"Multifaceted venue with great food, the varied but delicious flavors just make you want to sing. I shared the experience with Safeway friends, one of whom is EXTREMELY critical about food and she said she didn't have one bad bite. Its perfect for special events, wedding party dinners, dates and for no particular reason at all. The venue is lovely and the staff were efficient and welcoming. Definitely need to go more than once to take in the entire experience."

"Besides being centrally located and absolutely beautiful with attention to every fine detail the staff was helpful, friendly, welcoming and more than pleasant. The food is top notch for Sunday Brunch served with their own 'infusion' style but served Argentinian steakhouse style....(try at least 1 of everything!) crab cake Benedict, 48hr ranch marinaded pork shoulder, friend chicken and waffles just to name a few of my favorites) the salad bar serve yourself area is clean, neat and FRESH....although its all delicious - dont eat too much, save yourself for the meats!
Highly recommended and definitely coming back!"

"This place had something for everyone. If you are a foodie, you will love this place. The bar was lively and entertaining. The roof top seating is breath taking. Great for a hot summer night. The upstairs leading to the roof top seating is also nice. There's a fireplace and some seating right before you go outside. Perfect for drinks after work with friends. The music selection was great also. So even if you don't go for the food, I think it's an excellent place to meet up with friends for cocktails. I will definitely be back."

"I have been at ZED451 a few times now and tried both the brunch and dinner menus.They are both exquisite in taste, variety and quality. Starting from the shuttle service received from the theatre and then back to the train station everything was flawless.The chefs were incredible, knowledgeable and professional...something I was impressed with specially with the younger ones.The staff is outstanding and always right there to serve your every need.They recently changed their salads which include an incredible assortment and combination of fruits, vegetables and nuts...INCREDIBLE!! They accomodate for special requests on certain items as needed.
Way to go ZED451 staff for putting together quite the show!!!!!..We will be back again and again."

"I've been to this place over 100 times in the past five years. It's never a disappointment. The food is always great! Service is spot on.My only negative comment would be pricing of some cocktails. I ordered a bialys and coffee and it was $13. A little overpriced!"

"How disappointing to find out upon being seated that you have to get up and get the first course food yourself. Then, not one of the second course nibbles brought to the table tasted good. We tried to get an after dinner drink at the bar, but never got recognized by a bartender so we left. Don't bother to visit this place."

"If you like Brazzaz and Fogo, but want something more than beef, beef, beef, this is the place to check out. With seasonal items like Elk, or staples like Duck, Chicken, Beef (of course), Sausage, Pork Shoulder, etc., ZED451 is a great establishment. I would not have known about it had it not been for one of the chefs being on Windy City Live a week ago. They have an amazing outdoor patio upstairs, which is first-come, first-serve, but is worth the wait. The food is well-prepared and is served Brazilian steakhouse-style, so it's a familiar style. The music can get a tad loud, especially with all of the conversations going on, but the overall atmosphere is amazing and the glass wine "cube" in the front is a way to welcome your guests."

"I was very disappointed with the service. I understand that holidays, especially Mother's Day, are very busy for restaurants. Still, I had to wait 20 minutes after my reservation at 1 p.m. to be seated. We did not have a large group, it was only 4 people. We were early for the reservation, but still. When we were finally seated, we had to wait another 10 minutes for our server. It was very frustrating because my parents came in from the suburbs and I wanted the experience to be just as great for them as it was for me when I came here during Restaurant Week 2012. The server apologized for the confusion and said there was a miscommunication error but still, it was 1:30 p.m. when we were seated and someone finally paid attention to our group."

"Went with a party of 11 for Mother's Day brunch. Great service. The combination of a unique buffet along with dishes brought to the table (maple bacon, cinnamon rolls, crab cakes Benedict , and of course skewers of meat) was wonderful. Do not go expecting traditional breakfast foods. No scrambled eggs, sausage, omelet station, or pancakes. Our family had a wonderful time, and left stuffed to the gills!"

"I cannot say enough about the incredible night we had at ZED451. From the door to door service we received from the ZED451 bus, to the delicious food, to the best service we have ever experienced....ZED451 was the perfect place to celebrate my daughter's college graduation with our party of 9. "Although the menu is pricey, the quality of the food justifies the price, and hungry diners will get their money's worth. I would suggest coming with a group of friends to enhance the experience. If there is a downside to Zed 451, it's that people who prefer their meat medium will be disappointed since the 4 different steak selections presented at our table were medium rare to rare. I was delighted. but my spouse cringed...The food is well-seasoned but not overbearing. All in all, I'd recommend Zed 451."

"I arrived late into Chicago for a meeting to find my dinner plans cancelled. I jumped on Open Table and found ZED451. I asked the host to seat me at the kitchen observation bar so I could watch the chef. It was 9pm on a Monday so not busy which put the wonderful culinary team in the mindset to spoil the single diner from out of town. About five different chefs brought me small plates (smalls at my request) of their favorite creation. Pork belly for the first time, duck, venison, three types and sauces of beef, salmon, swordfish, chicken and on and on...Not only was I so comfortable being a lone diner, the culinary team was so excited to connect with me, the guest, and treat me like I was in their home kitchen."

"I have been at ZED451 a few times before and really enjoyed it. The dining area provided for a nice romantic dinner. The mood and the lighting was great for that kind of dinner and I really liked that we had plenty of space between the other tables. As for the food, while I really enjoyed the market area, espcially the cheeses, I was disappointed in the selection and quality of the meat and fish. Generally, the meats were tough or fatty and over-salted. The catfish was mealy and the swordfish was tough. The salmon was VERY good, but we had to ask for it 5 times! The service was attentive, except for when we wanted the salmon. Overall, disappointing."
