"Fine for a quick lunch - ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich- it was good. Older decor in an old hotel, but staff was friendly and quick. We were the last people in the restaurant at 1:30 and staff was not around, but it was OK. Fine go-to place if you need something last minute."

"I was disappointed with the look and feel and the service. When I arrived with a business partner, we were talking at the hostess interrupted us to ask us what we wanted, she could have waited a moment. E server at the table looked unhappy to be working there and at the end, did little to impress my client. Will not go back."

"This waas the first time I've ever eaten here, and it was pretty hard to find. I went to the address, which is a hotel. There is a place called the "4th Avenue Bar" but no cafe visible and no signs anyway. I started to wonder if the "Bar" was the same as the Cafe. I waited at the entrance to the bar but no staff was visible. I went inside the bar and finally located a staff person who pointed me to a nondescript stairway with no sign anywhere. I went down the stairs and found the 4th Avenue Cafe.
Inside the food was great and the service was excellent. I will go back. My only advice is to maybe put a sign in the hotel lobby to make the place easier to find for first-time visitors."
