"It had been a year since we had eaten at Sophias and I had chosen it as my Mothers Day treat. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I chose a special which was WAY too much food for someone who had mentioned they were on weight watchers. Our waiter made a bad recommendation. It was literally a buffet for 4 people. I wasted most of it and since we were leaving Naples the next day I could not take it home so it was thrown out. I would recommend that they offer some smaller portions for us older people (64) who really do not want so much to eat and actually are turned off when our plate has so much food on it."

"This is truly one of the best Italian restaurants in Naples...if not THE best! My husband & I frequent this lovely restaurant as often as we are in Naples (which is almost every Wednesday night!)The owners are very nice people who greet us personally every time we go there. The wait staff are very personable and very accommodating. Everything is fresh, and made to order. We try to get a different entrée each time we visit, and so far we have been extremely pleased with our choices. My take is there is not a bad dish on their menu! Their wine list is quite enviable and they have a beautiful selection of both reds & whites. The food is outstanding, & I can't say that enough...OUTSTANDING!!"

"The food is always so fresh and delicious. Our server was very attentive. The bread is homemade and so tasty dipping into the seasoned oil they serve. Definitely recommend Sophia as an Italian choice for Naples."

"Arrived on time for the reservation however waiter couldn't seem to find a place for us. We waited a while until he checked with someone then sat us at a small table. Wasn't happy about that at all. They told us that others had made their reservations before us.We seemed to be the only ones with that welcome.
This was our first visit to Sophia's and might just be our last."

"Molto gusto! We had 2 delicious dinners at Sophia's. The food, wine, and feeling tone are all superb. Jay, Camille and the staff are welcoming and competent. My only regret is that Sophia's is not in Vermont."

"First time I visited Sophia's everything was perfect. Perhaps this was because reservations were at 5;00 on a weekday. Second time had reservations Friday night at 6:45. Upon entering noise level was high. Told table would be available soon. Went to the bar for a drink even though no seats were available. Ordered two premium cocktails (makers mark and bombay).One was $13 and the other was $14 which seemed expensive. 30 minutes later we were seated. Ordered a bottle of wine only to be told it wasn't in stock. Tried another bottle but that wasn't available. For the start of a weekend thought wine selection should be plentiful. Our waiter recommended another bottle but it was $15 more. Menu is great, food is delicious."

"The manager couldn't find our reservation at first. We let him know we made it through Open Table and he finally found it. The server said they didn't serve Sangrias. We realize this is an Italian place but other restaurants serve a variety of drinks. We asked our server if they could change up one of their usual entrées and she said no problem but it arrived as stated on the menu without our two requests. The manager came over to fix the problem but never stopped by later to ask if everything was OK. He never apologized for the mix up. Despite the fact that we are from out-of-town, this was our third time visiting this restaurant. It's always very busy but usually the service is much better than this."

"Excellent food and local for us so a real find. Tables are close together but the fact the restaurant is full is testament to the quality of the dining and they have made very good use of the space available. The decor is good. I had one of the specials - fish- and it was excellent which is not always the case in many restaurants where it is safer to stick to the regular menu. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Look forward to our next visit."
