Meticulously restored in Ireland and shipped to the US, Ri Ra embodies everything that you would expect from a genuine Irish Pub. Ri Ra comes from the phrase "Ri Ra agus Ruaile Buaile," a phrase translating roughly as divilment, good fun or any sociable activity that improves with fine food, a nice pint of Guinness or dram of Uisce Beatha (whiskey). Ri Ra can be defined as place or state where exuberance and revelry prevail, where music and merriment compete and the conversation flows smooth as the Guinness ebbs in the glass. Slainte!
"The beautiful mild and sunny weather made sitting on the upper patio terrific (however, the waiter said they would be doing some work on the patio to provide more shade in July as it can be difficult to sit when super sunny and hot). We all enjoyed our lunch, except my husband. He tried the big Irish Breakfast dish for the first time and not fault of Ri-Ra, just didn't like some of the items. The waiter was very nice and we enjoyed lunch. Unfortunately, there were several upsets babies and children..."

"I visited Ri Ra with young kids this past Sunday and admit my expectations were pretty low based upon visits there at least 5-10 years ago. Instead, the food was surprisingly excellent. The Irish Benedict got rave reviews from a friend and I enjoyed the Full Irish Breakfast. If you don't like black pudding, they will gladly substitute rashers or sausages. They were very kid friendly, service was terrific, food arrived piping hot and it was not crowded. All around a great Sunday brunch."

"This is our favorite Irish restaurant. Every time we're in Charlotte, we make it a point to eat here. The wait staff is phenomenal. They've accommodated us with high chairs and space for strollers during our past two visits. The menu is wonderful and the food is deliciously authentic."

"Overall I give RiRa an OK rating. The service was a bit slow to begin with, we were seated and waited approximately 20 minutes before the server finally stopped and asked us what we would like to drink. This is after she walked pass us several times and never acknowledging us. Finally we ordered our food and though it was delicious the portion sizes seemed like it was for a kids meal. Two to three bites and/or spoonfuls and we were done. We aren't heavy eaters but we left out still hungry and stopped somewhere else to eat. This place is probably a good spot to hang out at the bar and watch games and socialize. Just a disappointment for us overall."

"If you are looking for a good pint this is the place, especially Guinness. The food was not very good, I ordered the pork belly, in which I've never had a bad one anywhere else before but here. It was overcooked, dry, and rubbery. I had to put a lot of elbow into it to try and cut it. All of my pork belly experiences elsewhere have been phenomenal, tender, juicy. I did not eat much of it despise being starved, ordered the potato cakes in hopes of filling my belly, those were burnt on the outside and lukewarm in the middle at best, not worth the $8.95 you pay for them. I have not eaten there in a year, so I do not know if they are under new management or have different chefs, but I always remembered the food being good there in the past."

"I love the ambiance at this pub. A good balance between Irish fare (including authentically Irish server staff) and American pub grub and great sense of service, I love going to Ri Ra for a casual dinner or afternoon snack."

"We had a great time at Ri Ra's. There is always something on the menu for everyone. The food was great and service wonderful. It's my favorite place to eat before a show."

"The front desk was welcoming & the bar was inviting. We received prompt service with a smile. When we were seated at our table we were immediately waited upon. The food was excellent. I got the corned beef and cabbage - it was excellent. The next time we come to Charlotte...we will be back for more."
