"Do not set your expectations too high. With the prices set on the higher side for dining and the setting of an older home (Manor), we were expecting better. The tables are worn & tattered. The carpeting in the dining room should be gone. The chairs are vinyl upholstered and better suited to a diner. Our server was pleasant but not as attentive as one would expect for an establishment of this nature. Merguez sausage was fine, the steaks were actually very good, the chocolate creme brulee was acceptable and the chocolate covered cheesecake was terrible (dry & tasteless)."

"The best French Fries in the City! Even if you order an entree - you have to get those Fries for an appetizer and share! They come hot - crisp - salted just right and parmesan lightly coated - mmmm good!!"

"I treated my friend to a Saturday lunch at the Manor Cafe and it was fantastic. We had the grilled chicken breast sandwich with the pommes fritz. An incredible dish with fresh, made from scratch ingredients that you can really taste. The atmosphere is classy and down to earth, with lovely decor. Can't wait to go back again!"

"The worst part about dinning in comfort is that most restaurants nowadays have overhead blowing cold air vents on one's head. Your place had none of this, and all air vents were blowing from the floor which makes more sense than having to sit for hours under a slow chill on the head and neck causing sinus aggravations for some and stiff necks at the end of the evening. Not many people know about this factor, and do not realize the side effects of this, so it was indeed pleasurable to sit in comfort dinning and socialzing in a sensible atmosphere. Music = nice, not too loud, and yes I will certainly return and bring my guests as well. Will recommend to others, Could even have parisiene music to suit the mood and possibly piano smooth jazz."

"We were all very disappointed with the food at The Manor. All three of us ordered items off the "new" menu and none of us were enthralled with the choices. Two of us had the trout lunch and it was very "fishy" tasting although the seafood chowder was delicious! The burger on the new menu was on a bun that was very hard and huge - impossible for a woman to get into her mouth with any sort of ease. The burger patty was a large quantity of solid meat. The tiramisu was okay. Two of us had been to the Manor several times before and always enjoyed our visits. After this one, we will hesitate to return."

"We've been going to the Manor for years. It's handy and consistent. This visit though was "half a bubble" off. Not sure why but... We will continue to visit The Manor based on our long and pleasant experience there."

"We have been to The Manor as a group several times and have always had excellent service and excellent food. Last time's spinach salad with bacon, mushrooms, chevres and a warm honey vinaigrette was just perfect, tart and sweet and salty, all combined. I will definitely order this dish again. Besides food and service, what sets The Manor apart is the way the restaurant is divided up into different rooms. This gives the restaurant a quiet and intimate atmosphere. I also like that the menu is kept mostly gluten-free or has gluten-free options and that, although not huge, it has a good variety of dishes to choose from, all in a medium price range. And, please, let them show you the dessert tray - it is a work of art!"

"As always the food was delish. The service was a bit slow, but not the servers fault. It was very busy and he was run off his feet. Booked the reservation on Open Table and received a confirmation but when we got to The Manor they did not have our reservation."

"We had a birthday lunch and the salads we ordered were all delicious. The service was efficient but not pushy. We had a corner table which made it easier to talk. Overall, it was a very positive experience and we will definitely go there again. In the warmer months, we love eating out on their patio."

"Did not enjoy the server's selective style of serving patrons. We were not informed about the evenings special's, but you could loudly hear our sever telling all the other patrons about the specials. Even going as far as adjusting another patrons drink because it was missing a key ingredient. I received the wrong drink, only realized I got the wrong drink when I was looking at the menu for another drink. I felt like a second rate customer that was shuffled out of the restaurant. I've never felt so offended by poor service. I've never been to a restaurant and thought I wouldn't go back because of the service. I felt that 14% tip I left behind was only for the kitchen staff and the other severs who delivered our food. Not or primary server."

"My wife and daughter don't eat meat or poultry and found the menu limited. Our server did an excellent job of working through this challenge, with what was available. Of course the trout on the menu didn't appeal to them either.
the menu limitation would be the one thing that stops our family from returning."

"First of all the place was so loud I could not here our conversation across the table. Very few wines by the glass which is crazy due to the new driving laws. The portions were small and over priced and I am sure our server was having a bad day. The only good thing was the dessert, would not recomend this place if you want a romantic evening."

"This restaurant was a great find. We went for my hubbies 35 bday. It’s a very romantic setting, food was excellent, and wine was great. Deserts were on a whole different level, amazing!!!! I recommend this place for special occasions for an intimate group or nice for a first date."

"We were seated right away and water was poured. The waiter didn't ask if we wanted any drinks. After waiting 15 minutes, our order was taken. Food came in good time but then we had to wait 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared. Dessert was offered but coffee wasn't- I would have ordered some if it had been but felt like I had to ask for everything. We will not be returning."

"The Manor was a very lovely dining experience and it was tucked away in the most beautiful location - not one I normally frequent and I thought it was beautiful. The food was excellent especially one the starters which consisted of French fries that came with lots of interesting add-ons - it was amazing but you need to share. The only negative we found was that there could have been an extra two or three choices on the menu for each course. There was a fairly limited selection to pick from but at the same time it was very nice. The soup I had was fabulous - one of the best I have had. I thought the pasta dish looked a little boring but I was assured it tasted good but to me. We will come to this restaurant again."

"Five of us had dinner at the Manor for a ladies night out. We all tried at least one of the fancy drinks from the cocktail menu and were very impressed. Food was fantastic, service was notably good - genuine and very well timed. I've been to the Manor for a variety of occasions and it never fails to impress."

"We had brunch at The Manor last Sunday. The fruit plate was a nice change from bread service. The Eggs Benedict itself was tasty, creamy hollandaise and crispy English muffin but the hashbrown potatoes were greasy to the point of being inedible. My friends had the French Toast and said it was soggy. We have had lunch here before and it was good, but the brunch was disappointing."
