"From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had an amazing meal that included seafood and steak. Highly recommend the seafood bisque, angry spaghetti, shrimp scampi and any cut of steak. The truffle fries were to die for. The ambiance was warm and inviting and the decor simple and sophisticated. Highly recommend!"

"We were sat in the bar area - very noisy. The food, however, was very good. I'd go back, but make sure I sat on the other side of the restaurant where it was quieter."

"Vie went for resturant week, I feel it was silly to make you pay 3 dollars extra for a tiny piece of choclate cake and other things on the price fix menu. The whole point is to pay one price right? Portions were small too. Music was loud , we were in a private room and we were the only ones in the resturant initially. Once the room filled up it got really loud. Food was delicious and the staff was attentive and charming. Overall nice experience but pricey main menu and loud."

"Food was delicious. Service was good but rushed. Immediately upon sitting down, the waiter came over to take our drink order. We hadn't had a moment to look at the drink or wine menu. We asked him for a moment and he hovered until we were ready. After bringing us or drinks he immediately told us the specials and then wanted to take our dinner orders. Again, we had not even looked at our menus. We told him to give us some time and again he hovered until we were ready. Now the meal itself was not rushed and nicely paced. Also the noise level was extremely high. It is very expensive. We each had 2 drinks, the two women each had 2 appetizers and the men each had an appetizer and an entree. 1 dessert. 2 cappuccionos. $163 per couple w/tip."

"Really good, steaks and sushi excellewnt, and keeps getting better! Attentive service, owner is hands on and makes an effort to speak to and listen to the clientele. Quality of food and presentation is at the forefront. Can get loud, especially in the bar area, and when the dining room has a number of 6-tops occupied. Will def. go back!"

"When we checked in and were told that our table was being cleared and we would be seated in about 10 minutes. We walked into the bar (which also has a dining area) and the noise was unbearable. Upon hearing the volume of we checked to make sure our table was not in the bar area. We were seated shortly and the dining area was quiet.
The food was excellent from appetizers (shrimp cocktail and Tuna Tartar) to dinner (scallops and rib steak) and dessert (apple cobbler and coffees) and the service was equally good.
Great place, great food but noise is a big issue."

"Very good steakhouse with some nice non-steak entrees to choose from. The staff is very accomodating. Wine list prices are reasonable. Will defintiely go back. I believe they recently opened and in time will be develop to a five star restaurant like their St. James location."

"Well done. The music started a bit too loud for my taste but when the room filled up I didn't notice it. Great service, lively crowd. Short ribs looked good and our fish was excellent. We'll go back. Hopefully, Vintage can make a go of at this location."

"Lovely decor, good food, attentive staff, but both too loud and too expensive (in general, but also in relation to portion size). Vegetables should come with the entrees (and would make a better presentation, no doubt, in addition). The wine was odd or off (pinot noir that did not seem like one). Friendly waiter spoke too quickly and so was hard to be heard in noisy small venue. Given the typical age of those in the rooms (I looked), quieting down the restaurant should be a priority and also healthy and included sides (vegetables or salads)."

"Service was very bad. We were sat in a small room in the back of the restaurant. This room had multiple waiters, buss boys, and food runners in and out of it, yet I had to ask for another drink. I also waited 15 minutes to find someone to give me olive oil for my salad. I would not return because of the poor service."

"The steaks are still as special as in the old place (Fulton and Prime), but I love the new dishes on the menu when i don't want beef. Busy and a little noisy on Friday night, but the food and service are always excellent."

"In a location that has been a literally revolving door for many restaurants, Vintage Grill seems to have made its stake (and steak) in this well-travelled spot. The decor is warm and inviting - it is both femine and masculine. There is a room by the bar where the scene is vibrant and energetic. The room to the side is elegant and refined. And there is a well hidden spot by the kitchen that provides a more intimate setting.
The menu items from the appetizers to the main course were excellent!!! This is a serious contender and should be on everyone's list of places to go without making a trip into the city."

"It was a last minute stand in find! (thank you Open Table!) when another original choice was closed for renovations. Co-workers and boss in tow- but everyone was happy- good wine and good food. The only item disappointing was the crab cake in the appetizers because it was too much dark meat and fishy instead of the light white crab chunk meat style at many shore communities (this was not at the shore, so it may have been a preference) -- but one co-worker is a chef and she was pleased with her filet mignon and poivre sauce -- so a very good mark!"

"Nice little hidden gem. Steak was great. Apps very nice and generous portions. There is a back private room for small groups. The bar area and bar room are nice, but the bar itself is too small. They should consider expanding it a bit more to allow more seating. The room inside bar is very eclectic and cool if you don't mind dining in a more noisy area of the restaurant. The other part of the restaurant was very cozy. Good for couples and small groups. Service was very good. Owner/Matri-d was hands on."

"We had the good fortune to book a reservation about a month in advance of Valentines Day with a request to be seated in the main dining room away from the bar. We were pleasantly suprised when we seated in the rear dining room which provided more intimacy than we ever anticipated. The service and food was very good to excellent and we will definately return for an encore. Without question the experience was equal to or better than the St. James location."

"Terrible experience. I went with my husband on Valentines Day. We were put in a back room stuffed with 7 tables and no ambiance. One table had a two year old playing games on his iPad at 9pm! That of course isn't the restaurants fault but didnt help the situation. We wound up waiting an hour for our soup and salad to come out and that was after complaining a few times. After all that time my husband's onion soup was cold and looked unappetizing. They put the cheese on the side on top of a piece of bread so it was just cold brown broth. My salad was wilted lettuce with a few cherry tomatoes. We had enough at that point and left. The other dining areas seemed Like they had a better ambiance. The wine was good."

"On word-of-mouth recommendation from one of my husband's tennis friends, we tried it with another couple last Sunday night after the historic snowstorm. The men chose the porterhouse for 2 without even looking at the menu. After hearing the specials and being tempted by the halibut, even the ladies stuck to steak; our filet mignon topped served over sliced asparagus and topped with a light béarnaise and giant lump crab meat was sensational! A very pleasant evening with attentive service and quiet atmosphere. Will come again."

"Duck taco and Lobster Mac & Cheese appetizers were very good. Main course was good, but either the menu needs to be updated to really explain what the dish will be or the servers need to be educated to explain it to the customers. I ordered what they called tortellini and instead of small pasta crescents w/ ricotta (standard tortellini) they were 3 large pasta "cakes" filled w/ ricotta (bigger than standard ravioli.) It tasted very good, but something so different than a standard definition of an item should have been explained to me. The desserts were the biggest disappointment. The flourless chocolate cake and base of the bananas foster were good, but there is no excuse for freezer burned ice cream. It ruined both desserts"

"Lovely, serene dining room and separate (very) bar/lounge -- nice use of space. Generational local restaurant owner/chef knows what, how and when to please, and he did! Imaginative 'crab cake' and grilled branzino for me were ideal"

"This was an incredible new find!! I'm a foodie and LOVE this place!! The Grilled Lamb Chop appetizer with greek salad and tzakiki sauce is my incredible, as well as the Homemade Tortelloni with Broccoli Rabe and Crumbled Sweet Sausage. My husband has enjoyed all the fish dishes too. The bar side has a lounge-feel to it, where the opposite side feels more like a trendy restaurant. Very energetic atmosphere. Definitely my new fav!!"

"I may be wrong but when you are spending 42 average on an entree I think the waiter should be instructed to refill your soda. We were told it is not their policy. The food was good but all we could talk about on the way home was the stupid soda. They also didn't refill my seltzer. (Zero Cost)"

"Had potential. Nicely decorated. However the poor acoustics in this place are so overwhelming. You notice it from the second you walk in, just how loud the place is. Almost impossible to carry on a conversation and you can only make out background music when the place emptys out. Unfortunatly not worth the price of admission."
