"I have walked by McCormick & Schmick's many times before finally planning a dinner date. They were very accomodating upon arrival. The menu options consisted of seafood and streaks, but they did offer pasta and a burger as well. I tried the shrimp linguini and my date had the rainbow trout. The food was sub-par for the price. I expected something I could not fix up at home - the simplicity of the dish was overwhelming.
If your looking for a hip place do not go to McCormick & Schmick's. The cliental was mostly 50+. My date and I felt very awkward as there was noone in our age group seated for 7:00 pm dinner."

"Went for our anniversary. Disappointed in both of our entrees. Fish was mediocre (mahi mahi & cod). Husband said oysters were outstanding. Bread cold & butter rock solid so you couldn't spread it. Dessert was ok (carrot cake) but not great. Wish we'd gone back to the Ocean Club instead. They even recognize special events with a free dessert which is a nice touch and food was eons better at the same price."

"First time lunch visit and looking forward to the next time. They say you get what you pay for and our meals, from appetizer to dessert, were exceptional. The culinary team evidently takes great pride in what is presented to guests and it shows not only in the presentation, but in the freshness and flavors of our food. Like any great orchestra, however, its more than just one part that creates a great experience. The hostess was cordial and accomodating, the bar service was excellent (especially the fresh juices), and our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely happy to be of service. Will we visit again - absolutely!"

"Took my parents and sister here for Mother's Day! We had a great experience! The food was not only presented beautifully it tasted amazing. We all left full and satisfied. The dessert menu is also amazing. The upside down apple pie with cinnamon ice cream is really good!! I would recommend anyone to go here. Yes it's pricy but you don't leave hungry. Also upu do not have to be dressed to a T to dine here!! That makes this restaurant even better! Fine dinning without having to get all dressed up. Go and try it out if you love seafood you will love this place!!"

"We have dined at Ocean Club several times from close to when it opened to Mother's Day of this year. They have gone through a renovation and competition with other restaurants that have come and gone and have survived the better for it. The service is excellent. The menu was diverse with excellent choices, though most things are a la cart and on the expensive side. Their dessert list is exceptional and we can high recommend the key lime tart. The presentation has improved, with your lobster bisque being poured over the corn fritter and lobster piece. The wait staff is friendly, but not too familiar. They are very gracious. When I want dependable service, a good menu and more than adequate wine list, I can always count on Ocean Club."

"Fine dining will always cost more than your average dining experience but I felt that McCormicks prices were still too high. A crab appetizer for $15.99? Really? Most of the appetizers and sides were way over priced. The main entrees seemed to be in the right range though. 6 people were at my table and 5 out of 6 loved their meals."

"My wife and I took our daughter back with us for our second try as it was her birthday. She had a nice time with her friends sitting in a seclusion both. However, the service was extreamly slow, and our food was not very good. The dinning area we were seated in had 8 empty tables, so why it took so long to get our drinks, then our appetizer and salads, and our main course is a mystery to me. The staff is super nice, but the back of the house and front of house are not on the same page. This was our second trip, and we will not be returning."

"Service was terribly slow. The restaurant was not very busy so absolutely no excuse. Our waiter just didn't have it together but the manager walked by twice and should have noticed we had been sitting there for about 10 minutes and still didn't even have water!
Food was just okay. I had almond rainbow trout and my wife had cajun catfish. Neither had much taste - sort of bland.

"Great restaurant; I've been a client of M&S since I lived in Seattle. The mussels were too spicy for me, and they offered to replace them, but I decided to eat them instead of waiting for another dish. The lobster bisque was creamy and very tasty. Extremely pricey, and charging for bread is a bit over the top."

"McCormick and Schmick's has been one of our favorite restaurants. However, after becoming a part of Landry's select restaurants, it has goone down hill. The fresh seafood menu is very small, the service is only average, the food is not as well prepared. We had to send back my wife's food because it was not cooked as ordered. That is the first time we have ever had to do that at this restaurant. It was very disappointing. I will give them one more chance, but if things do not improve, I will take McCormick and Schmick's off my favorites list. It is very sad to see such a fine restaurant begin to go down hill."

"We went to McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Columbus for Easter brunch. The meal was underwhelming, mainly because their brunch selection was very limited and the dinner menu was not impressive. Our server was unable to answer questions regarding menu items and claimed that the chocolate cake would be 'delicious!' when in fact it was just a large chunk of cold chocolate. While the meal was not too pricey I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as the menu items are very basic and the serviice was just okay. There are better seafood and brunch places to be found."

"Too many helpers for a holiday, that did nothing but block the traffic flow w/in the restaurant...and the could have been serving coffee. Mac n cheese sauce was separating from improperly drained pasta. Med well isn't considered pink. Prices not justified, way overzealous pricing for the food served."

"This is not a good restaurant. Service was fine, wine list was good, but Applebee's has better quality food. Will never visit again. Wanted fish on Good Friday so we thought this would fit the bill. Even my children thought the kids menu food was bland. Don't waste your time and money here. Go to Smith & Wollensky's at Easton - they never dissapoint. In addition to S&W's fantastic steaks, their seafood is amazing."

"This is my second time at this restaurant and I still stand behind my first impression. While the food was fine, nothing to complain about, it wasn't anything out of this world. They don't really offer anything to make me say, "Owww, I really want some McCormick and Schmick's for dinner." I personally think The Columbus Fish Market and The Ocean Club have better tasting food and offereings."

"For the first time at McCormick & Schmick's we came away disappointed. It felt like the entrees were overpriced relative to what was served and the service staff was not very helpful with respect to wine selection, menu clarification, etc. Turned out to be an expensive disappointment. Not sure if it was an off night or if there has been an unfortunate change in the restaurant. Not sure we'll be returning anytime soon."

"We had heard good things about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The service was fine and the meal was ok- not outstanding and certainly not worth the $100 dinner check. Overall, we thought it was a nice atmosphere with appealing items on the menu with a nice presentation, but the taste was similar to that of a chain restaurant. He ordered a filet -which was cut thin and really put you in mind of a filet from Applebee's or something. It was not bad, but my husband and I both agreed that if we're spending $100 on a meal, it should be great, and this meal was just ok."
