"McCormick and Schmick's restaurant had wonderful, friendly service and outstanding food!! Our waitress was friendly, and knew the menu well. She smiled and seemed to enjoy her work. My martini, cucumber and fresh mint, was OUT OF THIS WORLD! THE BEST I have ever had. Our appetizer (flatbred) and meals were fresh and hot, we can tell that care went into preparing our meals. The fish and steak we ordered were prepared to our liking and not a stich over or under cooked. Even though our bill came a pricey end, it was WELL-WORTH the cost for a night on the town! We will definitely return for a special occasion."

"We arrived after a long drive from NY hoping for a nice Mothers Day dinner. It was 8:15, and the restaurant was almost empty. After a long wait, our server brought 2 small slices of bread to the table. He then told us that they were out of a few things, and then listed about half of the menu items (basically anything that we would have ordered) We should have left then, but we were tired and hungry and decided to stay . We ordered and requested more bread. Server came back a with our salad and we again asked for bread-he told us the bread was in the oven. We never did get the bread. He did bring us a shrimp cocktail which may have been good a few days earlier. The main courses were ok- nothing special and we left , never to return"

"Friendly and nice--but food needs an upgrade. I could actually taste the oil (and it did not seem healthy) on my fried food and the dessert had so much sugar that it was not healthy, let alone something I wanted to eat. I understand that fried foods and sugar treats are not healthy options, but one does want to indulge a bit when eating out. I am referring to the buttermilk pie that I had ordered!"

"Good food, especially the calamari appetizer that was rather like a Japanese tempura, including some veggies (hot peppers among them) . Well cooked trout with a Cajun flavor. Certainly OK, but not my favorite spot. We had the misfortune of being there on graduation weekend and it was so noisy we had to shout, even at 6:30."

"Went with co-workers for a group outing and we were placed in a cozy private corner for our dining experience. Very attentive waitress who didn't rush us at all! Food was delicious, along with desserts. If you don't like butter on your meal however, be sure to request light on the butter.

"McCormick & Schmick's is one of our go to restaurants no matter what state we are in especially in Pittsburgh. The urban location offers a unique polished casual dining experience from start to finish. The knowledgable and friendly staff amd exqusite menu options make for a memorable dining experience. The managers are always present in the dining room and seem to visit all tables throught service. We have gotten to know Mike the manager who always makes us feel like we are part of the McCormick's family and being greeted by our names by all team members makes us forget that we are out to dinner at a restaurant and as if we were spending time with friends or family."

"Looking for new places to take out-of-town guests (mostly work friends). We've done a lot of the "scenic" restaurants, but for this trip, wanted to take them to another different restaurant that is not available in their New York area. We are all fish lovers - and this turned out to be a great find.

"We arrived at 7PM for our 7:30PM reservation,and reported ourselves to the hostess. She said that we would be seated later than 7:30,and that was acceptible. We spent our in-the-mean time at the bar,and we enjoyed the compentencies.It was approximately 7:40 when I saw the hostess again,and she said that she was just going to come and get us. We were seated quickly,and then our waitress greeted us ,and brought us water. Our waitress never came back,and 25 minutes later we left the restaurant."

"Everything about our dinner experience was devine. The only complaint I would have would be price. This is a pricey restaurant which makes it cost-prohibitive for me to visit as often as I'd like. The food and service was incredible, so it's disappointing that I am unable to come more often. I was offered a deal to join the company's restaurant club, but after discussing it with my girlfriend decided not to join as we dont' think we would be able to come often enough to make it worth the while. If it were more affordable, I would patronize this establishment MANY more times. As it stands, it will need to be for just an occasional special occasion."

"I had the Blackend Mahi Mahi. This is the second time I ordered it in just a few weeks. The first time I was not sure I would like the sauce so I asked for it on the side and liked it. Didn't think about it the second time. The meal was 'drowned' in it. It was too much and added unnecessary calories, less visually appealing, etc. Not to say I didn't like it; but, all that sauce was NOT needed and didn't enhance the eating experience."

"Food is great as always. Nice selection, well prepared. Service was absolutely terrible - from the hostesses, to the waitstaff, to the time it took for our meals. We were asked to move after being seated and getting our drinks. They were not nice about it. It was busy because it was Easter, but I expect it was no busier than a typical Sunday. Love the food, but will hesitate to go back because of the service."
