"I was disappointed that what heretofore was a nice high-end fish restaurant, McCormick & Schmick's has now taken on many of the characteristics of a mid-level casual food purveyor. The wait staff was overt in pushing up-menu items including appetizers, wine, dessert, and more expensive entrees. Portions were smaller than I remember prior to Landry's ownership, and the entire experience was cheapened. My wife's scallop dinner was very salty. We will not return."

"Casual Memorial Day dinner.
Appetizers, Lump Crab Tower & Coconut Shrimp. The Coconut Shrimp very tasty & better than most other places.
Lump Crab tower needs new name, the tower about 2" tall. Server's description made it sound taller. Overall bland taste.
Entrees: rockfish blackened & topped with crab, mushroom, shrimp ponchatrain, "chef recommendation entree". 5 oz lobster tail and asparagus. It was actually an add on side, My wife enjoyed it immensely.
The Rockfish had a nice zing spiciness lingered on the lips for a few minutes. Mildly spicy 5 out of 10 level, good, didn't want very spicy. mashed potatoes overly salty. Green beans tasty.
Carrot cake dessert. Huge, took it home. Dave the server did a wonderful job."

"One of our guests requested a gluten free vegetarian meal and the waiter recommended rice and vegetables. He returned shortly to report that they had run out of rice. What kind of restaurant runs out of rice. It is more likely that the kitchen could not be bothered."

"I ordered the cashew crusted tilapia, and I would say, "yuck!" The salmon is usually cooked to perfection, the potatoes are delicous. But, the other fishes: cod, tilapia, etc. are gross. The food is somewhat cold and overpriced. The atmosphere is lovely. Great place for a date or small family dinner, that is, if you do not order the cheaper fish, of course! Ha. The service was very good, just not the cheaper dishes."

"We I have been to this restaurant a number of times. The service was lacking (long waits between contacts by server). My Cedar Plank Salmon was about half cooked when I received it, and my wife which had steak and king crab actually had a large diameter crab leg that did not have any crab meat in it (looked as though the meat had been removed). In both cases the situations were corrected with apologies (although they did not seem sincere), and the restaurant deducted the cost of our cocktails from the final bill. In the end the final tab was still rather expensive for both the bad experience and what we received. If this is the result of the purchase of this restaurant by Landry's it is a real shame."

"Normally, this restaurant is excellent. On Mother's Day, they appeared to be short-staffed. It was five minutes before someone came to our table. The clam chowder was not brought to the table before the entree was served. My salmon was over-cooked, which has not happened before. My daughter said her filet mignon was excellent."

"This place has become. Typical Landry's mediocre seafood chain and the fish entrees are uninspiring and disappointing. I had the parmesan encrusted sole and it was a piece of bland fish, sopped with butter, and pan fried on a griddle -- awful. Also, when ordering 6 oysters, the manager couldn't give me more than 2 varieties on a Saturday night as they are too busy. Believe me, they weren't busy with this low quality food. Go elsewhere."

"My wife and I love seafood which can be a challenge (for variety) here in Colorado. We've eaten at other McCormicks over time. First time at DTC location. We started with two appetizers, the tuna plate and lobster bisque. Tuna came with two varieties, seared and tartare with avocado. Both very good. Lobster bisque was extremely good. We then had the sea scallops and Rockfish for entrees. We split everything and both of us agreed that from end-to-end (a seasonal lemon pie with strawberries to close) it was a great deal. And a very reasonable price for the quality. Oh, my wife would be mad if I didn't mention that made from scratch sangria. She said it was the best she ever had. We will be back!"

"They had an advertised special at the entrance for steak and lobster so we ordered it. Fifteen minutes later the waiter told us it was not available for dinner unless we paid a much higher price. Since this seemed to be a bait and switch, we decided to finish and pay for our salad and find another restaurant that had an honest dining program. Then the manager got in our face and pretty much blamed us for not reading THE FINE PRINT on the special. On the way out a new diner was reading the advertisement and we stopped and told him about the incident with THE FINE PRINT because he too was planning on taking advantage of the special. The manager definitely needs an attitude adjustment but we will never return, or our friends."

"We had a wonderful evening! Our waiter was a delight, friendly and efficient - service was impeccable. We have come to expect freshness and excellence from this restaurant chain and, unlike the downtown location, this chef didn't disappoint. We both ordered fish for our entree and found them fresh and perfectly prepared. Overall, a very satisfying experience."

"My wife and I had a business guest in town and wanted to take him somewhere nice, but different.
We were pleased to reserve the time we wanted, were seated right away when we arrived, and were surprised that a table out in the open area was so intimate and quiet.
The wine selection was good, as was the advice from out server - she knew the menu inside-out and was very helpful for consideration of food sensitivities.
The clam chowder was the best we have had in Colorado. The Saomon and Swordfish were prepared to perfection - not over-spiced, perfectly cooked, and paired with the perfect vegetable combinations.
This is not a cheap restaurant, but it is a great value!"

"I was very disappointed in the food. I have not been there for a while and the prices have really increased and the amount of food for the price has gone way down. We had the beef medalions and lobster combination and the lobster was good but you could barely find the beef on the plate and there were no vegetables or potatoes to go along with it. It was just beef and lobster. Our server was so busy trying to take care of a large party that he barely had time for us. We also had bloody mary's which were on "special" for $9. It was undrinkable. Another thing I noticed is that the restaurant is usually full for holiday gatherings and it was half empty. I think that speaks a lot about what others are thinking about it as well."

"I loved the Sea Bass on the new Menu ! It is my favorite item and I will be ordering it as long as it's available. The Sea Bass was lightly grilled, served over edamame, and topped with sliced cucumber (or chinese radish ?) with red pepper flakes. The taste of the fish with the mild edamame and kick of the cucumber was very flavorful and created a 'fresh' burst of taste...I hope they keep the Sea Bass around as along as it's in season!"
