McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant is located on 110 North Illinois St., one block west of Monument Circle. We are conveniently located close to the Indianapolis Convention Center, RCA Dome, Conseco Field House, Monument Circle, and Circle Centre Mall.
The menu at McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant is printed twice daily and features more than 30 varieties of fresh fish and seafood from both U.S. and international waters. Other menu highlights include tempting pasta, poultry and beef specialties to tempt any palette.

"Worst dining experience our group has ever had. Drink orders wrong many times, substitutions all wrong, bill splitting comical, and most importantly, they in no way understand food allergies. My friend ended up not even eating at all since they messed the food up 3 times (even the not-so-manager guy they sent in to apologize). Just terrible!"

"My wife & I went to dinner for my birthday. She picked the restaurant. After being seated in a half-full restaurant, we proceeded to wait 15 minutes before a waiter stopped and asked if anyone had helped us yet. We said no, and he apologized. We ordered drinks and proceeded to wait another 15 minutes before they came. We ordered our food and finished our drinks and waited another 10 minutes or so with empty glasses. I was looking around for our waiter but he was nowhere in sight. He finally came back while I was in the restroom and my wife asked if he could be more attentive. He understood. 10 minutes later he came back and told us he couldn't read his own writing and asked us what we ordered for dinner. Disappointing! Food was great."

"My wife ordered the "Chef's Special" which was a swordfish dish. The swordfish was very over cooked. She sent that back and asked for a salmon dish instead. The salmon came out very under cooked! We've never before had a problem with the food here and we were very surprised that we had to send back 2 dishes as was the manager. The excuse was that they had a couple of chefs in training. The didn't charge for either of the dishes, they brought out a properly cooked piece of salmon for her. My food was excellent. We're just going to write it off as a fluke and we will return."

"Less than impressed. The hostess insisted we mad a reservation for 4 and it was made for 2. We we're provided with menus with another family's "greeting" (likely part of the reservation mix up). When I mentioned it to our waiter (in hopes of getting the menus to the correct family), he blew it off as "menus tend to get placed back in rotation after they've been reviewed". The food was mediocre. We ordered the calamari which was blended with fried vegetables? We asked for bread and was given half a loaf. This may be protocol but it meant the waiter had to make multiple trips to replenish what was eaten. This was once one of my favorite restaurants but it's gone downhilll in past years."

"I graduated on Mother's Day and we went to celebrate at McCormick & Schmick's seafood. They had a $20.13 coupon, for graduating in 2013, very clever. The food was great, I got the surf and turf. The steak needed more seasoning, it was a bit bland. The stuffed shrimp were very good. I would get them again. Hot tip, you can buy $100 worth of gift cards from Costco for $80!"

"This is the first time we went to this restaurant., to celebrate a college graduation. We told our waiter that when we arrived. We had received an email telling us that graduates would receive a discount. After appetizers, we waited for our salads. Finally, out came our entrees. We told the servers (not our original waiter) that we did not get our salads and to forget them at this point. Also forgotten was a side dish. I had ordered the red pepper/cheesy potatoes. The waiter did not mention that it was part of my entree - so I had 2 of the same thing. The waiter did not apologize for the forgotten items; nor did he apply the graduation discount to our bill. My husband didn't push the matter, not wanting to embarrass the graduate."

"I have been to this restaurant several times, and had this particular visit been the first, I probably would not return. The service was extremely slow, the server did not pay attention to a special request for the chef and so the food was not prepared as requested. We spent well over a hundred dollars for 3 guests and it definitely was not worth the money."

"As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile. Our waiter, Sterling was knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time to place our order. I ordered the Calamari appetizer. I was a little concerned about it coming out overcooked. I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfect! My husband ordered the stuffed shrimp and enjoyed it as well. "When asked how our evening with M&S went both my wife and I say it was "nice." It was not great but it was not terrible either. For the price, and in Indianapolis (as opposed to San Francisco or Chicago, etc) we expected better. The food was good (I had the Shrimp Trio, my wife had steak) but not note-worthy. The service was OK with the waiter being friendly but the food taking longer than normal - especially the dessert - to arrive. For a 7:00 p.m. reservation on a Saturday the restaurant did not appear to be particularly busy. Given the number of very good restaurants it is unlikely that we will return to McCormick and Schmick's for dinner. As as aside, my son thinks it is one of the best places in Indianapolis for Happy Hour."

"Overall I was very disappointed. Sorry to say but the appetizer was the best part of the meal. This was our first and will be our last visit. My wife's salmon actually tasted rather musty and old. She really loves salmon and saw that the chef's recommendations were both salmon dishes so she thought she couldn't go wrong. She ate only two bites of the salmon. I had the strip steak which was alright nothing that I couldn't have gotten at any other steak house. The shrimp kisses were very good though and the young lady that waited on us was very pleasant."

"I felt our service was only fair at best. We simply waited too long for food, drinks, and our waiter, especially considering the restaurant was not busy. Also I was disappointing to portion size on 3 of the 4 dinners ordered. Considering the premium price point, $37 for Halibut, I shouldn't wish I had more. The food we did receive was delicious. I've eaten at many other M&Ss and have had exceptional experiences, not this time though."

"I am a big fan of Walleye, and was hugely disappointed with the Walleye (grilled) I had on my recent visit. The flavor was non-existant and the portion was meager. If this is the normal way this dish is prepared and presented, I think it should be taken off the menu. The Sea Bass my companion had was delicious, as was everything else we ordered."

"The service was absolutely Non existent and my order came out wrong. With a party if 8 we had to continually ask for more drinks and were never presented with a description of the menus or specials of the day. After I managed to get the last piece of halibut for the day at 6 pm on a Tuesday, it came out with no fruit salsa and with green beans instead of the asparagus I ordered. For a $40 piece of fish I expect something better."

"I was in Indianapolis for a conference and tried this restaurant with a friend of mine. We both selected from the spring menu they were debuting. We share the crab and shrimp spring rolls, which were delicious. I had the salmon on spring vegetable ragout; I'm not a huge fan of salmon but this was well prepared and tasty. I would have appreciated more vegetables, however!"

"I selected the restaurant for "Easter Brunch." What was offered was completely different than I expected. They had an "Easter Brunch" menu; however, most of the offerings were non-breakfast items. The one item that looked the most interesting was the "Eggs Benedict" but upon questioning the content, I learned the item consisted of only two eggs for a large amount of money. Hardly an Easter brunch. I probably should have investigated further before making the reservation, but I assumed there would be a buffet line of breakfast and lunch items. We had not eaten breakfast, and were very hungry, so we ended up choosing a dinner from the regular menu at 10:30 am. We will not go there again for a holiday meal."

"My daughter and I had the King Salmon and it was outstanding. My wife had the grilled trout and it was equally delicious. All the food was elegantly prepared - including the vegetables.
I highly recommend this establishment for seafood and fish of all types. With Salmon season coming, this is a wonderful place to go."

"The service was good. The food tasted great, the only thing we were very disappointed in was the serving size. We ordered the "Ultimate Mixed Grill"- Stuffed Shrimp, Grilled Shrimp, Seared Scallops, Grilled Salmon for 32.99. The Salmon was about 3oz., only two Scallops, two stuffed Shrimp, and three grilled shrimp. It was good, but I certainly was not full. We also ordered the "Firecracker Shrimp Appetizer", "Lobster Mashed Potatoes", and "Pan Roasted Wild Mushrooms". Those were all pretty good and decently priced. everything was good, but I don't think we would go back."

"We shared the lump crab tower in the bar and it was delicious. We polished off a dozen blue points. They were very fresh and the red wine vinegar they came with was the perfect pairing. The grilled tilapia was light and flavorful. The grilled salmon was perfect. It was a wonderful evening and we will surely return."

"Definitely a disappointment. We arrived and waited to be greeted by a hostess. After the hostess and a waiter haggled over whose turn it was to take a table, we were seated. Water took about 5 minutes to arrive. We waited about 10 minutes, and I had to remind the waiter of our beverages & his promise of bread. I was delivered the wrong meal, though I did catch this before it was placed on the table. I expected more for the price we paid."

"Our bartender stated us off with an excellent Manhattan made just right. The bar scene was vibrant without being too noisey. Our server was prompt, professional and knew the menu well. He suggested the Shrimp Kisses appetizer (shrimp wrapped in bacon) and was spot on. I enjoyed the rockfish and my wife the beef medallions. Both were prepared and presented beautifully. We'd certainly recommend this restaurant and will go back."
