"Took mom for Mother's Day Brunch. Regular Sunday brunch is $24.95, but for Mother's Day was $32.95. We had an 11A seating. It was chaos as soon as we arrived. No Eggs Benedict. I have never in my life been to a brunch without Eggs Benedict. FAIL! Omelet station: Minimal ingredients added to omelets. One teeny cube of ham & three teeny cubes of peppers. Waffles: new girl at waffle station cooked each waffle for 15 minutes. Waited on line for 40 minutes for one waffle. PLUS owners/managers were sending wait staff to cut the long line and bring waffles to people they knew! The bill was brought over after one hour without anyone asking for it. I was still ON THE WAFFLE LINE! NEVER COMING BACK!"

"First time at Schafer's and will definitely be back. My family and I were at Schafer's for brunch recently and were greeted by a friendly hostess. Right away I knew we were to have a great dining experience. Brunch was excellent and the price was right on. Blood Mary's and Mimosa's were excellent too. Service was great and our waiter was very friendly. Next visit my wife and I will have to come for dinner. Thank you for a great dining experience."

"There are four separate rooms to dine in. The staff was very accommodating. We opted to dine in the captains room which was quiet. Our waiter was very friendly and nice. We ordered the daily special which was delicious. The portion size was large and we had plenty leftover."

"I was in town with friends I've known since grade school. I ordered the ahi tuna. It was good but was not expecting it to be one big piece. It would have been nice if it was sliced. My friend ordered a vegetarian pasta dish and it was extremely salty as was the clams casino. I might go back but would probably go for drinks and dessert."

"We had an Amazing Easter Brunch at Schafers...the raw bar was outstanding, the shrimp, clams, fresh..my son is in love with the homemade Waffles!! I loved the Tilapia...kudos to the Chef...the Mimosas weren't too bad either!...we enjoyed ourselves and plan on returning again!!"

"We went to Schafer's for brunch, and it was a nice experience. There was plenty of food, with the omelet and waffle stations, buffet with cheeses and fruit, lunch options and a variety of delicious desserts. The only problem we had was with the Bloody Mary... not great."

"I chose Shafers to celebrate my birthday! Since it fell on a Sunday, what better way to celebrate than Brunch! I had made the original reservation for 1pm but we were running late and I called to change it to 2 pm, no problem. When we got there it wasn't too crowded, which I like. The food was absolutely delicious! The service though, was very sketchy. There were a lot of young wait staff walking around and no one would ask us if we needed a drink. I was finally able to grab someone and asked for a mimosa and Iced tea. We were brought a mimosa and Bloody Mary. My boyfriend had to go to the bar. I noticed they had brought out some fresh corned beef and man in a chefs jacket offered to bring me a plate, which I

"Our waiter was very nice and helpful. We were a little disappointed that the menu on the website indicated they had duck, but the chef had taken it off the menu. But, our waiter quickly suggested the braised short rib - which was so awesome! I would lick the sauce off the plate if I had the nerve!!
We also enjoyed the fresh, warm bread and soft butter they brought to the table. Sometimes even the best restaurants serve cold bread and cold butter.
We will definitely dine at Schaefer's again and will bring some friends next time."

"Schafers is probably the best restaurant in Port Jeff. My family and I always enjoy ourselves. The Truffle Chicken is probably my favorite, along with the Short Rib. The food is always good."
