The Cooperage Inn takes great pride in serving the freshest fish, meats and local produce available. Sauces are expertly prepared on premise by our chefs.
The name "Cooperage Inn" comes from the craft of coopering, which goes back a few centuries, when it was the major method of packaging. We are located in the Long Island Wine region. Wine makers have always relied on the skills of the Village Cooper to store and age their wines.
"We were there during Restaurant Week and it was a wonderful experience. Food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. Looking forward to returning and trying the brunch."

"We went for restaurant week on the first night and the food and atmosphere lived up to its hype. The only thing that did not was the service, which was slow and sloppy.
The waiter took away my appetizer plate without asking first and left my companion to eat alone...should have waited to clear both at the same time when both finished. The wait staff leaned over our table and food a number times to refill glasses and even when we had paid our check...why?
All in all was a good experience, now they just need to train their wait staff better."

"I usually love this place but was disappointed when I went during hamptons restaurant week. The food was still good but we were served a 3 course meal in less than 45 minutes. I felt so rushed . They served dinner and we werent even finished with out appetizer. I absolutely hate that. We had to ask for bread and finally receved just before dinner came out. Our drinks were empty for most of the appetizer because the waitress never came back. I will still go back but never during an event like that."

"Food was good but was a little disappointed in limited selections for sunday brunch. Also the food area is a little crampish. Decor is very cozy and comfortable."

"Truly our favorite restaurant. We have used Cooperage Inn for romantic dinners, a night out with the kids, and to cater our son's Christening. Each time we visit, we are never disappointed. The food is always fantastic, the atmosphere is always enjoyable, and the service is always great. Our favorite time to go is on a weekend evening so we can enjoy the live music."

"We've gone there before and knew what to expect. We were not disappointed in any way. As always, the Cooperage was great. My wife's duck was terrific. My rib eye was the best stake, of any type, I've had in years. The service was typically pleasant and prompt. It just doesn't get much better than this!"

"LOVE LOVE LOVE the Cooperage! The Cooperage is our go to restaurant for Birthdays, family gatherings, holidays. It's great for a quick bite as well. The restaurant is always decorated for the season, the servers are attentive and the food is what keeps us coming back. My favorite is the meatloaf, which is always made fresh and delicious! It's my favorite to get during lunch in the wrap as well. My family loves all the choices on the menu, and my mother comes in from Nassau county just for the pork chops. Writing this review makes me want to make a reservation for next week. Yum!"

"I have eaten at the Cooperage on many occasions for lunch, brunch as well as dinner. In fact, I was there for a lunch just before the holidays and the food was delicious. On Monday, January 21, however, the food was of very poor quality. Two of us ordered the grilled pork chop which was extremely tough. The third member of our party ordered the meatloaf which was tasteless with lumpy canned gravy. We had to request rolls and when they arrived they were cold and stale. The bread pudding which I have enjoyed on numerous visits was adequate at best. It will be a long time, if ever that I return to the Cooperage."
