Part cultured wine bar and part neighborhood restaurant, Sip is the kind of place designed to feel as though it’s been here for years. Come to Sip to relax and unwind, to enjoy an unforgettable meal, to savor the perfect glass of wine, and to feel at home.
Sip’s warm atmosphere evokes the feeling of a Napa Valley tasting room with a unique 30 seat bar, an outdoor trellis covered patio with a stone fireplace, and cozy and stylish indoor seating. The diverse menu features an array of tantalizing appetizers, savory entrees, and unforgettable desserts, as well as an elaborate selection of hundreds of extraordinary wines by the bottle and over 50 by the glass.
"Very good food. Excellent service. If you like jazz, Sip is a great place to eat. But their background music is very loud. If jazz is not your favorite or if you want to have an intimate conversation, Sip may not be the optimum restaurant for you."

"That was my first time in this restaurant with my family for Mother's day. The brunch had very limited choices: eggs, sausages, bacon, smoked salmon (we had to request to several waiters to bring more since the dish was empty for more than 20 min), potatoes, and some desserts. That's it and that was super expensive although no better than your typical pancake place. Very disappointing. This might be a good place on a regular day/night, but definitely not for a special occasion."

"This was our 1st time at Sip. It was a weeknight and we were pleasantly surprised by the live music. Everything was great except the service. Our server was mostly waiting on tables across the room, and several times we had to ask another server for something. One of our wines was corked, which was immediately replaced (and removed from the bill)--but only after flagging down someone who could help us. After we arrived home, I noticed that it had been Ladies Night, with happy hour drink prices all night. This was not mentioned to us, and we may have changed our drink order if we had known. Despite this, we will be back."

"While this restaurant qualifies as a "neighborhood restaurant" it's sophistication makes it a destination place to eat. The ambiance, food, wine, service were all excellent."

"Sip was so disappointing. While our waitress was perfectly nice, the kitchen seemed to be the problem. There were few items on the ... let's call it highly creative ... menu that appealed. For the item that did appeal, the chef refused to change out the unappealing, heavy side dish. We decided to have cold appetizers only, for which the wait time in the nearly empty restaurant was absurd. Gotta laugh, but don't gotta go back."

"The wine menu on an I-Pad was a novelty. We liked the ambiance and the food. Didn't much care for the classic rock soundtrack. Didn't seem to fit the scene and in any case was too loud."

"Good food, good ambience. The iPad application to select the wine was great and we got a fabulous red for a great price. The food was good, but check that they cook your burger/meat to the right temperature."

"Usually a neighborhood favorite. This time slow service. The last few times food has been salty or spicy. Think I'm done giving it a try. The desserts are still amazing. Wine by the bottle still one of the best."

"Our Seafood Cioppionni was bad....one of the mussels in the dish was bad. When they brought the dish we could already smell the mussel. Was surprised that the chef let that dish leave the kitchen. We returned it and ordered another dish."

"The Valentines Day menu was over priced $85 per person for the value of the food. The complimentary champagne was cheap. The food was unimaginative and lower than average in style and flavors. Never again holiday, celebration or ordinary evening out."

"Food and service was very good. My only issue was Manangement didn't take my visa gift credit card. If you accept visa you should have taken my visa gift credit card."

"Sip has really improved over the last couple of years. The food quality is tremendous - we had the arctic char and short rib, both of which were fabulous. Service seems to be a little confused though. We didn't order our main courses until after our appetizers arrived, and yet the mains came out just minutes later, before we were finished our first course. The server took them back to the kitchen but then a manager-type guy with a vest told us he was going to bring them back to our table so they didn't get cold in the kitchen. I guess that means it's better that they get cold at our table instead."

"The evening couldn't have gone better. Even when we found out that the wine we were looking forward to was out of stock the sommelier stepped in and made a very nice recommendation. Great food, nice comfortable atmosphere, very pleasant staff and the price was appropriate. Have, and will continue to, recommend SIP to friends and family."

"Nicely prepared food with a variety of entrees and small plates on the menu. Enjoyed the generous portion of vegetables and moderate size of entree. Dessert sampler for two was enjoyed by three of us. Nice to see a restaurant serving creative and delicious food with normal, not overly large, portions."

"Good food and a great bargain on half price wine night (Wednesday). The ambiance is superb, although some tables are a bit on the dark side. Choose wisely. The Sommelier is extremely good, and the servers are all friendly and efficient."

"I wrote a very detailed review update at Yelp but not enough space here to paste it in. This was an OK experience but for $250 including fixed menu dinners (no substitutions possible), 2 $10 and not inspiring cocktails and tip we expected better. Once again one dish was so salty it was virtually inedible and this time it was the salad! There was something to be critical of with every course except dessert -- if the meal had totaled no more than $150 I might not have complained so freely. We won't go to Sip again for fixed menu occasions but we will likely continue to go at other times because it IS one of the better fine dining restaurants in Issaquah. We find ourselves wishing that the food/drinks more closely reflected the price paid."
