The idea for Karma was born out of the simple premise of providing superior quality traditional Indian Cuisine, great ambiance and friendly, efficient service. Karma has worked exclusively with the local talent from Philadelphia.

"I brought two of my colleagues from India here - and they enjoyed this restaurant. They spoke to its authenticity, especially the goat and lamb dishes. Very tasty food and very friendly service. Three thumbs up."

"Good Indian restaurants are hard to find but this one is solid all the way around. The Naan breads were great, the Lamb Vindaloo was spicy but not so killer hot that you couldn't eat it, and everything else we had was great. The night we went (a Sunday), there was a $20 special for an app, entree, and glass of wine. Nice atmosphere, too. Will return!"

"Enjoyed a dinner here. The menu is fairly extensive and service was fine after a slow start. We had theater tickets and once we informed our waiter we needed to be out by a certain time, service was great and we did not feel rushed."

"The food was delicious, but the service left a lot to be desired.

When we arrived there were only one or two other tables in the restaurant, but the service was so slow. It took a very long time for our drinks to come out, even longer for them to return and take our appetizer order, and we waited at least 10 or 15 minutes for them to bring the check after we asked for it. The service was very friendly, just extremely slow."

"We were looking for a new favorite Indian restaurant, since our old favorite, Palace at the Ben, has gone downhill. Karma was very good - the food was delicious and well prepared (except that my husband's entree was a little spicier than he had ordered it). Service was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves very much and will definitely return."

"We had a very good mid-evening, post-movie dinner at Karma on Saturday evening. As I'd hoped, Karma was a good option for a 8 pm dinner if you wanted to avoid the growing Saturday night revelers. We enjoyed a cocktail, a bottle of wine, grilled lamb chops and Tandoor chicken along with grilled vegetables, salad and naan - plenty for two and enough to take home for a light lunch on Sunday. We will definitely go again."

"I loved the dark decorations and it felt very private. Although small not too long of a wait for your food. Excellent indians cousine with all your common favorites. Easy to find and realtively cheap for the quality. Only critique is the naan bread was not very fluffy and soft more thin like."

"We attended Karma for its evening dinner. It offers "traditional" Indian dishes i.e., what you would be familiar with from any other run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant here. The service is great, decor is attractive and its food is decently prepared but otherwise ordinary. The cocktails were disappointing."
