"Everyone was energetic. The only way I can fault Z'Tejas we had to constantly ask for more tea as our waiter was waiting the tables inside the restaurant and outside on the patio. Everyone seemed happy and the manager did come over to our table to say hello. We ate brunch. Everything was cooked as ordered."

"I went here went a date (two people) and I was pleased! The good was good and the decor was great; the decor was something I was looking for that evening. The cost was within my budget; in fact I could spend the same amount here that I spend at whataburger. The only difference at ztejas the quality of food is ten times better than the food at whataburger."

"The food is terrific and so was the service.. We love the place. We introduced it to friends of ours on Friday night and they loved it also. It gets loud when it is busy and sometimes hard to have a conversation, but other than that really great."

"Our visit was on a Sunday evening. The weather was perfect for outdoor dining, so that part of the restaurant was packed with people and their kids. We sat inside at a booth in the back and the noise level was still pretty bad. We usually get the beef tenderloin filet. Three orders were cooked perfectly, but one which was ordered rare came out medium. It was sent back and the dinner did not come back for 20 minutes. Obviously, everyone else had finished eating. Since it was my sister's birthday, and that was her meal-it was not the birthday experience we had hoped for."

"I was very disappointed with my margarita for the price. I paid $8 for something so small that barely had any alcohol in it. My food was just ok and was Luke warm by the time I got it. Server took awhile to take order and bring check. He also forgot to bring my friend and I straws after asking him. I don't know if I will go back to this location."

"My wife and I have been to the Z'Tejas downtown several times. We decided to stay north and give this one a shot. We were seated immediately and had the one of the best servers we've had in quite some time. Kristin was attentive and knowlegable. She really took care of us. The food was good but not outstanding. The best part of the meal was the service. We'll go back but not until after we try several more places"

"I absolutely love this location. I visit often and the food and staff rarely disappoint. On my last visit we were seated for dinner at 5:45 and did not leave until 9:00. Never did the waiter make us feel rushed and I greatly appreciated that. I would highly recommend this location. The catfish beignets were very good and the other three people dining with me really enjoyed their meals."

"Beautiful place, great service. Food was good- not outstanding. The 3 dip appetizer was very good, the fra diablo pasta was slightly bland, the burrito also lacked much flavor. Not bad, just not great; solidly just good enough. The lemon cake was somewhat dry. The pineapple margarita was good. Overall, for the price (pretty cheap) it was a good meal- just nothing exceptional. The waiter was extremely attentive and the ambience is lovely. For those reasons, I had a nice time."

"Well, it's popular for sure because the noise level was way high at lunch. One thing you should know is that they put whole kernel corn in EVERYTHING...and since that doesn't agree with me, I was disappointed to find it in the corn bread and rice.

"Overall, Z'Tejas Avery Ranch is a good restaurant. It gets very noisy, which is my biggest complaint. Service is good. Drinks are usually good for the money. I've always had great food. Went for anniversary date with my wife, and they were out of the wine we ordered. They were very nice about it, and very quick to accommodate us, in spite of this. I really appreciated the extra service we received there. My biggest like apart from their food, is that they use OpenTable. We go right to the front of the line, and past everyone else on Friday night waiting on a table. I feel like a VIP, and we can have dinner at a good time for us. That is a big plus, and has kept me coming back on busy nights here."

"The service was great. The appetizers were great but took longer than expected to arrive. Margarita's were good, but way too much ice, especially if I'm paying 10 bucks for it. We ordered the seafood enchilada and some beef tacos. They were just ok. They were not hot, temperature wise, but the plates were really hot (?) We have been here before, and everything was great! Don't know what happened this time around. It was just ok. The ambience is nice and the place was clean. It was busy on a Sunday night, so people must really like it! thanks."
