"We went for our anniversary and sitting outside was great, since we sat in the bar area, far enough away to have conversation and watch passers-by in the outdoor mall. the food was spiced in a very interesting yet familiar way that brought out the natural flavor of each dish."

"Have been here many times. Today was very busy. My lunch was served cold with hot potatoes. Waiter quickly provided a new serving. It was new, not just the same food microwaved."

"My husband and I used to travel 60 miles to Austin to eat at the original Z'Tejas, so we were thrilled when they opened a restaurant in San Antonio. The restaurant has great outdoor seating and all the staff are nice and smiling and helpful. The chicken Chile Relleno is AMAZING and so is the cornbread! I've never been disappointed in the food or service. 5 stars!"

"Unlike the rest of the world that fed their mothers pancakes and mimosas Sunday morning, we chose to take our mother and grandmother out for an evening meal. The waitstaff was truly spectacular - going above and beyond to make the evening extraordinary, complete with lemon chiffon cake for the VIPs at our table. Our table felt like it was the most important one in the room, and all members of the party remarked that the evening was special and most enjoyable. So glad we chose Z'Tejas!"

"Our party of 8 was seated immediately, and our waitress was very friendly. She was new, but if she didn't have the answer to a question, she checked and let us know quickly. Special orders (kid that doesn't want pesto on his chicken friend chicken!) were happily accommodated, and the food was FANTASTIC! It's not a place you want to go if you have big eaters as the portions weren't king-sized. They were just so that we weren't waddling out and everyone was very satisfied with taste, temperature and presentation of their chosen menu items. There was a lot of variety in the menu, & everyone was able to find something that suited their taste and mood. Noise didn't bother us, but Spurs game on at the bar caused several cheering outbursts!"

"This restaurant has all the infrastructure to be great, and fell flat on it's face Mother's Day morning. Mty party of two arrived promptly for a 10:30 am reservation. Although 1/3 of the tables were open, the 3 hostesses were chattering about being short on waitpersons and where to locate us.
It took 20 minutes an hour to get a glass of water and a shot of vodka for your "make your own: bloody mary. I asked to be reseated, to no avail. A little over one hour into our breakfast, our food arrived. The food runner announced that my plate was very hot. Yes, but the potatoes were stone cold, the chipolte holladaise sauce was congealed on top of a pair of Sysco pouched eggs. The only thing hot was the Jalapenos in the cornbread."

"I had been here before and recently returned for my birthday dinner with family. The menu selection was great and had a little bit of everything for everyone. The cocktails were good as well! I loved the chocolate spice cake :)"

"We had 8:00 dinner reservations and when we arrived, we were informed they did not have our reservation through Open Table. I pulled up the reservation on my iPhone and she explained that they do not always get the reservations through Open Table.
After a couple of minutes, they were able to seat us to the rear area near the kitchen where there were several open tables. Once seated, our order was taken. Service was very good and the food was great. It was prom night for some high schools so it started getting busier in our area before we were finished eating. This may have been the reason for so many open tables when we went back initially:
I would like to see Open Table improve their technology with the restaurants they use."

"Great brunch and amazing build your own mimosas with juices like POM and Naked! Definitely make a reservation though. Other people in line had to wait almost an hour and we got seated right away. "This is the second time we have dined at Z'Tejas in the last month. We have been very pleased with our food choices both times. My favorite item on the menu is the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad. My husband loves the chicken fried rib-eye. They were both excellent choices this past dining experience. We will be dining at your restaurant again in the future."

"Took a friend and her young daughters to Z Tejas to celebrate her birthday.
We sat outside on a cool evening. Overhead heaters were on; it was a little warm with them on and a little cool with them off; they were not adjustable.
