"To be honest, the ambiance was a bit lacking here. Thought it would be a more romantic setting and was dissappointed to find that it wasn't. The good was good, small, controlled portions. However, it left you feeling full. The service would have gotten a higher rating from me, if it weren't for the fact that the waitress informed me that she ran my debit card three times and it was denied. Turns out that all three times she swiped, the charges were pending on my account. I left a voice message alerting the restaurant to the problem, and surprisingly the owner called me himself to assure me that the charges would not go through. So that was good."

"My friends and I enjoyed an excellent meal and overall experience at Repast last weekend. I had been to the restaurant a couple of times when it first opened, so was eager to give it another try. I was pleased and impressed and will definitely go back. It looks also like it would be a good place to dine outdoors when the weather is nice, although it was a bit chilly for that on the night we visited. Our experience in the upstairs space inside was great, however. It did seem to take a little longer than average from time of order to time of service of the entrees, but the food made the wait worthwhile and our server's menu explanations and recommendations were appreciated and accurate"

"Thoroughly enjoyed the chorizo pork dish. Chicken was moist, tender and tasty. Best dessert by far of restaurants we visit is their banana bread pudding coated with chopped pecans and topped with caramel laced ice cream. The chef, Joe Truex, is always a delight. Every visit we have made to this restaurant has been wonderful !!!"

"Had been looking forward to eating at Repast for quite some time, and found it to be incredibly average...other than the prices. The portions were small, prices high and somebody, please, take the salt shaker away from the chef! Thought the atmosphere was great, but service was very slow, the lamb was tough and beware...they charge for water. And where do they get their bread? It was the closest to eating good ol' Wonder Bread as I've ever had in a restaurant."

"Operational issues - four of us were seated at a bizarre corner table - not at all conducive to a nice conversation - make sure to ask for a four top that faces each other - not out to the crowd, unless of course you are with relatives that you don't care for -then I guess it is perfect. Food took over an hour to reach the table. Our waitress was kind but we kept having to ask her to speak up, a lovley, shy asian lady, and she got very discombobulated when we expressed concern about our the wait for food. Strongly suggest the restaurant train their staff better - seems there are operational challenges on the floor and in the kitchen. With that said, the quality of food was excellent but not worth waiting so long for if you are hungry!"

"Ive had dinner here at least six times and have always been happy with the choice. This visit was not great. Free range chicken was rare and had to be sent back by two guests. The wait was long, and it came back as cut up pieces of recooked chicken. One plate was replated minus most of the sides.........Flat iron steak was tough and salty. Get it together or watch your repeat business go away."

"If you choose to dine with Repast on a weekday, it has a nice calm and peaceful vibe. Asides from the entrance being such a hassle to find, the layout of the restaurant was very appealing. Everything from the fresh spring water, the warm bread and oil and the food was exquisite! I will be returning to try everything on the menu eventually."

"We went for Valentines day, very nice ambiance and great service. Prix fixe menu, food was fantastic. Portions were just right, not too much, and very flavorful. "Everything was very tasty. The waitress was not very good though. She didn't introduce herself at the table and was not very efficient. Had to wait for wine, etc...she was okay for Apple Bees but not fine dining quality. The size of the plates were very small. It was a $75 four course menu. We left hungry. For god sakes, charge more and put just a bit more food on the plate. I was looking forward to dinner and arrived hungry. I could have ate two of these Valentines Day Dinners. The people at the table beside me felt the same way. This is my second time here and though everything is well put together and tastes good, I always leave unfulfilled. I'm sorry to say that I probably won't be back."

"We were very disappointed with our experience at Repast on Valentine's Day. We made a reservation over a week in advance. We got there on time (despite valet service being painfully slow), and we were told to that it would be a 15 minute wait. The sent us to a very small and crammed bar area. After having to ask multiple times, we were finally seated nearly an hour after our reservation.

It certainly left us wondering why we even bothered to make a reservation.

Once we were seated, the service was acceptable (though our waitress seemed to be juggling too many tables), and the food was good. However, it would have been nice to at least have some acknowledgement from management that we had been inconvenienced."

"I thought the overall experience was great until the bill came up. I knew that it was going to be more that I expected because I was planning on the regular menu, but instead there was a $75 minimum that I was not ready for. I just wish that there would have been something on the website or on open table that Repast was doing a special valentine's day menu/price. "There was a rough start to the evening. We stood by the host's stand for around 10 minutes before anyone even paid attention to us and only after we asked. Bartender was inattentive. Once we were seated everything changed. The service was perfect, the food was wonderful and they even brought us 2 additional appetizers for out wait. We will definately go back."

"Great food, service and decor. Butternut squash soup, escargot tart, bento box, and scallops with pork belly were all delicious. Timing of service was excellent and our server Nataliia was a delight--efficient, knowledgeable of the menu and wine list, and fun to talk to. "Food was great! Waiter was great and very helpful with wine pairing with meal.The only suggestion would be to ask how you want the temp of the berkshire pork. It came out more on the Med-Med Well side. Pretty much killed the flavor of a good pork product.Overall everything else was outstanding. The special bar drinks were some of the best that I've had too."

"We were told we wait to wait 20 minutes, despite having reservations. It took our food over an hour to be served with no apologies from our waiter. When we flagged him down he said the delay was due to the steak we ordered medium well, which takes "40 minutes to cook". Although I cook and thought this was a big absurd, we were somewhat appeased until the steak came, and it was cooked medium rare to medium at best. No apologies at any point from the waiter or chef for the delay. We won't go back."

"Excellent service, vibrant atmosphere, creative and healthy food. Only one problem, the portions are not ample enough for me to get full. I am not fat; but I exercise quite a bit and dinner is the big meal for me. Therefore, even though the cuisine was incredible, I paid alot of money and didn't get a value."

"repast is a restaurant you want to love. the chef/owner joe is a really nice guy, the space is inviting and the menu is extremely creative and has items jumping off the page for you to try. However, when the food gets to your mouth, there is a marked let down. its just falls flat on all the promise and hope the menu created. i've been to repast twice now, had multiple apps and multiple entrees that I've shared with my dining partners. there has been a standout here and there, but overall I've been left both times with a feeling of disappointment. and I gotta say if I'm gonna spend that kind of money, there are several restaurants here in Atlanta that I'd much rather go to."

"Our appetizers (dates, salad), entrees (osso busso, crab cakes, hanger steak) were all very good. The faux-valet parking is a bit tricky to figure out (you pull in behind the condos at Glen Iris and North Ave they walk through the courtyard to the restaurant) but don;t let that keep you from experiencing this very pleasant restaurant."

"I just didn't think it was that memorable. I had the Chorizo crusted pork, which was dry without much flavor, especially from something advertised with Chorizo. The apps weren't special either, the salmon tartar also lacked flavor and the escargot tart was basically a quiche. The sweet potato gratin that came with the pork was fantastic, the best thing I ate all night and gave a hint of what might have been on the other dishes.

Liked the atmosphere, great service-- we had a nice experience, but I must say I expected more."

"Been to Repast before and the food is always excellent; unique ingredients that work very well together creating new food experiences. The service started rough but they acknowledged, comped some drinks and everything was great afterwards. My only issue with Repast is that the noise level is a little high b/c of the high ceilings but that seems to be the norm. A little pricey for anything but occasional visit, abt $50 pp before tip."

"The service was horrible from the missing valet to the bartender who took money for a drink and then charged for the same drink to the waitress who was never present and apologetic about everything on the menu when she was supposedly advising us of the specials. "My first note has to be able the awesome owner and head chef, Joe. I have never seen someone who was so involved with his restaurant. Joe doesn't hesitate to help his staff give his guests the best possible dining experience. Whether its popping up to the host's station to seat guests or answer the phone, or giving the diner recommendations on the menu, Joe is right on point. The staff obviously takes its queues from Joe and works equally as hard to give a good experience. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Most importantly is the food at Repast is out of this world! Everything we had was great. From cocktails to dessert we loved every bite. One piece of advice I have for everyone dining here is to make sure to save room for dessert!"

"We ate at Repast on New Year's Eve, choosing from the prix fixe menu (many items are also on the regular menu). The food was amazing. The chorizo-crusted foie gras was the star of the evening, but the octopus was a close second. For the main courses, we had the filet and the lamb. Both were excellent and cooked to perfection. Dessert did not let us down - a delicious, dark chocolate terrine with salt and roasted banana bread pudding. We will definitely be coming back to Repast."

"Highly recommend calling ahead to request a multi-course chefs tasting menu. There are too many great dishes to limit your self to only having a couple. Pick an off peak night if possible. They seems to really go the extra mile when they have the time to do so."

"It was an overall excellent experience. Wonderful food, great service, attention to details. What is always great is that the place is owned by a couple who are actually both fully engaged in the Restaurant, which makes the whole atmosphere very personal. It is just so different from a place that belongs to a plain-vanilla managed restaurant-group.
Repast is clearly among the few top restaurants in Atlanta."

"We had the butternut squash soup, fried polenta, rack of lamb, crab cakes, and one of the featured wines on the front page of the menu. All of the food was very good, but the soup really stands out. It was an exquisite balance of sweet and spicy. The service was excellent. Our server helped me select the perfect bottle of wine, and the timing of everything arriving at the table was perfect. We never felt rushed or like we were waiting too long for something. It is a lovely, friendly place and I will be back."

"I was disappointed with the bento box, but still want to go back and try their chicken. Also, hoping they change the menu seasonally as I'd like to try other things (but not eating red meat makes it hard since they have pork in a lot of dishes). Beet starter was amazing! Very very interesting wine list - wish they had more by the glass. Very nice place, despite that I was disappointed in my main course."

"As we walked in, we were welcomed by the owners, which is a pleasent surprise, the attention to customers seems to be lost sometimes in new restaurants. The "modern organic" main dining room was small, but very lively and active. The food was simply prepared and seasoned perfectly to bring out the true nature of the dish. Overall the service was spectacular, with great recommendations and descriptions of the food and wine. A great dining experience, I will be back!"

"We made reservations with friends who had been wanting to try it out. We were very pleased with every aspect of Repast. The menu was wonderfully original, delicious and beautifully presented. "The food was delicious. I loved each course. The desserts are amazing. The olive oil cake is my surprise favorite. The pork belly appetizer is exquisite. The accompaniments make the dishes. The drizzle with the pork chop, the almond ice cream with the olive oil cake, the mustard with the pork belly. Equal care is give to what comes with the dishes as the dishes themselves. The courteous staff makes the dining experience that much more delightful. The wine list is expansive, easily able to find appropriate things to pair with the entrees."
