"Porterhouse for two was great. We went during a rainy "noreaster", so the valet parking sure came in handy! When we announced our arrival and our reservation, the person at the front immediately noted that we had used opentable.com."

"Ordered Porterhouse, it was not as good as I had 2 years ago. Ordered medium rare but the surface of steak were burned. Steak were not chewy but soft. Flavor were not as good as Peter Luger.

Service were good, wait staff friendly."

"We've been to other big name steakhouses and was never impressed or even satisfied - with the food, service or decor. Uncle Jack's blew us away in every aspect with friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful service and phenomenal food including tender and flavorful steaks, fresh oysters, lipsmacking asparagus, and mmmm mmmm mmmm good garlic mashed potatoes. Even the house wines and desserts were great. The layout of the restaurant was not too crowded, yet still cozy, and not the stereotypical dark wood, male decor of a steakhouse. Very classy without the snootiness. Definitely planning to return...despite the 45 minute drive to Queens."

"heard a lot about uncle jacks and was looking forward to the crabcakes, Unfortunately the came cold. the tbone was good not great - little to charbroiled on the outside.

"This is probably my eighth or ninth time at Uncle Jack's in Bayside. The service keeps getting better and better each visit. The food is always superb (We order the Porterhouse for 2) The lighting is very romantic and great for a special occassion. I can not say enough about this place. It has earned a place in out top restaurants to visit. I would highly recommend as it is a great atmosphere for an intimate dinner with the family or a night out with the guys and cigars. Keep up the great service UJ's!"

"The food was excellent. We had the lamb chop lollipops for an appetizer, one of us had the 16oz filet mignon, and the two had the porterhouse for two. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the side dishes (mashed potatoes, asparagus, and sauted spinash) were excellent as well. The service was also every good. Overall this was a near perfect dining experience. I would highly recommend Uncle Jacks's."

"I really had a very, very bad experience. We arrived and we were seated, our waiter introduced himself 'Dragos' I believe. The waiter insisted on addressing my wife..for everything...as if I didn't exist. The appetizer and the salad was great, then the Porterhouse for two...horrible...it was charred and simply tasted like burnt meat, we finished our dinner and asked for the check, and again i didn't exist, the waiter ignored me and he gave the check to my wife, now I'm not sure what the rules or the etiquettes are in a steak house, however there was another couple sitting directly next to us, and the check was given to the male/husband. I also, had to go get my own car, in the rain, 2 blocks away because the valet couldn't work the alarm!"

"Went there on an off night (weeknight) and the restaurant was not busy, therefore, you would think that the service would be excellent and it was not. The staff, although friendly, were not particularly warm and appeared distracted. Maybe they had an "off night." the steak was reliably good but when you're paying so much for it, you want a "total" experience."

"The service and the food were mediocre. If you're not a regular, the lack of service is noted (I waited an hour after finishing my meal for the check, and there were only three other occupied tables in the restaurant). The meet was surprisingly bland, but the sides were wonderful. I would say that it was an overall good experience, but I'm not jumping to go back anytime soon."
